It’s been four days since Suzaku has enrolled into Ashford as a new student. The golden retriever wags his tail happily as he walks into the class expecting to meet a familiar person.
Suzaku frowns slightly when Lelouch is nowhere to be spotted. Shirley noticed Suzaku first, she waved happily, her tail gently swishing.
“Suzaku! How are you settling into Ashford?” Shirley smiles at him, her smile falters slightly when she sees a frown on the boy’s face. Suzaku notices Shirley’s wavering smile, and he puts on a beam.
“I’m sorry, did I make you feel bad? It’s just that Lelouch… and Rivalz isn’t here often, and I want to make more friends” Suzaku scratches the back of his head sheepishly.
Shirley sighs. “You’re still oblivious to the fact that they gamble almost everyday? God, if Lelouch paid attention to class as much as he paid to chess, then he would have been the top of the school” The deer seems to be in a better mood. “I think you better get seated, class is about to start”
“Oh yeah, talk to you later in the student council room” Suzaku settled down in his seat, saying the student council room out loud somehow made him feel better because it brings him hope that he’ll maybe meet Lelouch there. This week must almost be the end of the Estrous Cycle. “Oh hello Suzaku, you seem to be in a good mood” Milly looks up from her papers and smiles at him. Suzaku nods several times. “Yes! I’m really excited to attend this club! What are you guys doing?”
Lelouch finally looks at Suzaku, his ears standing up slightly. “We’re just doing our work, I would have been home now if someone didn’t brag about how I’m not taking my role seriously” Shirley shoots a glare at Lelouch.
“You SHOULD be treating school seriously! Not just this club! Rivalz and you are always glambling. What if you guys got hold back!?” Shirley’s ears flattened, showing her frustration.
Rivalz leans back into his chair. “Hey! Don’t drag me into this, besides, Lelouch is a master at chess. We got so much money,” Rivalz says in a playful voice, the mouse seems to not care a little bit about their patchy attendance.
Suzaku sits down next to Lelouch, the cat (i was about to say ragdoll, but I thought cat sounds better) is speedrunning his work, trying to get them done as fast as he could. Suzaku keeps zoning out and loses track of time. He snapped back to reality when Mily says it’s the end of the club activities. Lelouch sits up, Suzaku can’t help but admire Lelouch features, his sharp amethyst eyes, his dark neat hair that stops at the end of his neck, his soft black ears.
“Aren’t you going?” Lelouch looks at Suzaku who seems to be zoning out again. Suzaku snapped out of it, and stood up. “Uh- I’m sorry, did I look too long? I keep spacing out”. The cat smiles, he holds Suzaku’s hand. “Do you want to come over for dinner tonight? Nunnally would be so happy to see you.”
Suzaku’s face blushes a little. “I would love to! I would be there at 7”
“We’re still here” Rivalz says with an annoying voice making his face look punchable. Lelouch looks at his friend with a subtle irritated expression.
“It’s already 6:52?!” The clock hits Suzaku’s eyes when he walks out of the bathroom. Haven’t yet dried his hair and tail, the golden retriever quickly puts on his basic white t-shirt and grey sweatpants, despite the discomfort that his damp clothes are giving him.
“I wanted to dress nicely for Lelouch today, damn it! Why did I took such a long shower” Suzaku thought with frustration. The golden retriever heads out of the male dormitory, rushing to the Student Council Clubhouse. Suzaku is about to burst through the door, but he slaps himself in the face to keep himself from getting over-excited. The brunette knocks on the door politely. A person opens the door, Suzaku’s tail wags back and fourth, the door cracks open to reveal Sayoko, the tail wags slower.
“You must be Lelouch and Nunnally’s friend, come in” The tigress steps aside, making room for Suzaku to step in. At the table sits Lelouch and Nunnally. Suzaku is about to speak up, but Lelouch gestured to the boy to be quiet. Suzaku slowly walks to where the two siblings are sitting. The young boy caresses Nunnally’s hand. It just took a few seconds for the young cat to realise who it was.
“Suzaku, Suzaku, is that you? Oh, I missed you so much” The small cat’s ears move non-stop, she puts Suzaku’s hand close to her cheeks. Just then, the golden retriever's stomach growls a little.
“Oops… Sorry for that” Suzaku says shyly, his face painted with red due to embarrassment. Lelouch laughs softly. “No need to be embarrassed, I’m hungry too. We could talk while eating.” Suzaku’s tail wags again.
During the dining. Suzaku’s forgotten arousal comes again so suddenly, he didn’t know pheromones can affect him this bad. “Suzaku, I want to tell you something. Could you follow me to my room?” Lelouch stands up, offering a hand to the dog. Suzaku stands up, following the pretty boy. When they get into Lelouch’s room, Lelouch closes the door softly.
“Something’s wrong with you, what is it? You seem unwell. I think I know the reason, but I won’t say it out loud.” The cat’s tail keeps moving back and forth making Suzaku spaced out again for a minute.
“Oh. I was just tired. Maybe because of a fever or something, I’ll get better soon” Suzaku felt his arousal rising abruptly. How could this even happen? There’s no female dogs who are in heat at sight. Lelouch steps closer to Suzaku, invading the brunette’s personal space.

It’s been so hard, but I know I could do it because I want to save my first time for you” Lelouch says with a straight face, making Suzaku can’t believe his eyes. His childhood friend? The Britannian prince?? The popular guy who’s always surrounded by girls no matter the species? “Are you being serious?” Suzaku’s voice sounds shaky in order to not stutter. The cat nods, his dark soft tail brushing against Suzaku’s trembling hand.
