Chapter Text
EST'S POV;
Est woke up with a bright smile, he had a good sleep. Started his day with peace, calm atmosphere, breeze cold but relaxing. He got up and prepared for work then rushed to work, when he arrived his friend, Fenfang, was not there—he's confused because Fenfang was never absent.
It's already lunch, employees are off to eat but Est, immediately called Fenfang. Fenfang picked up the call crying.
"Est... my wife got into a car accident , she died..."
Est heard it clearly —the once calm air fell still and cold, the kind of silence that weighs on the soul. He got to Fenfang faster than anyone. He stayed, and never leave his side, letting Fenfang cry and he drink with him.
Est took Fenfang home, the house Fenfang and his wife lives—once joyfull and chaotic, now full of loneliness, the unusual feeling that will make your hair skin stand because of the dark atmosphere.
Days had past, but Fenfang still didn't go to work. Est was worried; he kept calling Fenfang, but Fenfang never answered.
A few days after the incident, Est was still worried, so his friends did their best to distract him.
Est's friends, Punch, Daou and Offroad invited him for a drink—he declined—He always declined because he's busy in their business.
Est sat across from their client, carefully listening, calm but suddenly his phone rang, he saw its Mr.Fenfang and immediately excused himself to answer the call... The voice on the other end made him freeze.
"This is Fenfang. I need a lawyer-now!"
The tone was sharp, tense, angry.
Not a request, but a command.
Est's hand trembled. That voice, once familiar and warm, had turned into something frightening. He panicked and chatted his friends because he don't know what to do—He's scared of being yelled at. Fenfang wasn't just his business partner—he had been Est's best friend, almost like a brother. Thankfully his friends were there for him, they called Fenfang back and ask what happened and he told them what he needs voice still sharp and cold.
Est remembered everything, everything flashed back...
Everything changed the night Fenfang's wife died in a car accident. After her death, Fenfang spiraled. The man who was once kind and professional drowned himself in alcohol, cigarettes, and drugs. Est saw him struggling but couldn't do anything because he knew how much his bestfriend love her wife.
After aou called Fenfang, they rushed to Est, because they know how much being yelled at could hurt him, especially since it was Fenfang who yelled at him who never raised voice. They arrived fast.
They saw Est sitting in his office, crying.
Est wasn't crying because he got yelled at. He cried because of his best friend's situation. He didn't want anyone to go through that kind of pain-especially his best friend, the one he treated, and who treated him, like a brother, better than anyone else ever did.
Punch immediately came and hug him. They brought Est home and never left him until he calms down.
Est fell asleep crying, but later on he dreamed. He dreamed of himself being at a concert, surrounded by loud cheers and screams—yet he wasn't part of the crowd. He was backstage, standing beside five boys who had just gone on stage, their faces strangely blank, blurred and indistinct.
WILLIAM'S POV;
William woke up to find work waiting for him—as always. He hurried to their company building, and saw LYKN members—Lego, Hong, Tui, and Nut—already there, waiting for him. He had barely arrived when the staff pulled him into preparations for the day's events. No greetings, no smiles—just a rush of orders and instructions, without any explanation.
Their schedule was packed, as usual. They had a concert, a fan convention, a meet-and-greet, and an endorsement. But the company's planner treated them terribly;
No meals were prepared, no welcome was given, and the events were disorganized.
William couldn't help but remember the company that had previously endorsed them, '2gether.'
That company had treated them with respect and care; providing snacks, a sleep room, lounge, meals, and flawlessly organized events without any issues.
William who rarely smiled for the staffs , always smiled genuinely whenever it was with the '2gether' company. They were the only ones who treated him and the members with true consideration.
The day ended with exhaustion etched on their faces, but they were still happy. They had seen their fans—the fans they loved more than anything else. For LYKN, their fans were everything; without them, they wouldn't be where they were today.
6days later. Sunday.
Still full of schedules and work-no rest day or day off. Exhausted. Tired. But still professional and casual, never complained. Out of tiredness, LYKN still shows love, care, and assurance to LYKYOUS—the most precious thing in their life.
