Chapter Text
You are Peter Burke. You find a postcard in your mailbox but addressed to Peter Devereux. You know it's for you, and you know exactly who sent it.
A week ago, you suddenly lost contact with Neal. He was sent undercover as a pilot to infiltrate a dangerous gang planning to hit JFK. The gang leader was a mysterious dude who stayed anonymous.
Probably they caught on to Neal. Maybe he is in a deep mess. Or maybe he was just taking precautions; either way, it was worrisome.
With all the changes in your dynamics with Neal and in your lives, especially with you and Neal no longer being handler and CI respectively, there was massive tension between you and Neal.
Though you're not sure what angle he is playing, you have enough faith in Neal to believe that he isn’t on their side. He is a changed man now. While he would still make an exception for a non-violent crime if he believed it would serve the greater good, he would never willingly associate himself with violent people, especially people like the gang he was infiltrating.
The postcard has a cool photo of Neal with flight attendants and a handwritten letter. The letter feels very personal, so much so that Diana and Jones feel like they are intruding …from addressing you as Dad to addressing all your issues…but there is also an absurdity to the letter.
However you’ve seen plenty of ‘Neal Caffrey’ postcards before. So as personal as this feels, your gut tells you there’s another layer to this. You must uncover whether Neal was able to leave behind a message, stop the heist, and find Neal before it’s too late!
