“Run little dragon, run as fast as you can.”
Branzy fled, jumping over metal gates as his frantic heartbeat echoed in his ears.
The words twisted in his head, unsaid threats driving him to push himself to run faster.
He felt the arrow in the base of his wings jostle as he pulled them closer to his body, narrowly avoiding a homeless man leaning on a brick wall as he slept.
“How do I always get myself into these types of situations.” He muttered through panting breaths.
The ender dragon reached a fork in the road, not even slowing down as he turned the corner to go one way. He skid to a stop as he saw a masked figure in black at the end of the road and quickly turned to go the other way, freezing as he was met with a gun.
Three men stood before him, all three pointing sleek black revolvers at his face.
“Heyyy fellas” Branzy chuckled nervously, putting his hands up slowly. “Nice guns you have there. How about we lower them and talk about this-”
He was cut off by something heavy hitting him in the back of the head. His knees buckled and he fell to the ground, watching through blurry vision as one of the men crouched down and grabbed his chin, and forced his face upward.
Then his vision went black.

Cold.
That’s the first thing he felt when he woke up.
A hand on his shoulder.
Another in his hair.
His eyes shot open as he finally processed the chair, ropes and gag, wrestling against the restraints as voices laughed in the background.
“Aww little dragon finally awake?” A female voice asked mockingly.
“Ah, ah, ah.” Another voice tutted playfully, the hand on his shoulder moving to grab his wings as he tried using them to wiggle out of the ropes.
“Now, now, ladies. Let’s make our guest feel welcome here, okay?” A smooth voice chuckled from the doorway.
Branzy whipped his head around, whimpering as the hand in his hair tightened, and glared at the figure in the doorway.
A man leaned on the doorway, posture relaxed as if he hadn’t just kidnapped a minor.
“So little dragon, here’s what we’re gonna do. You’re going to answer our questions about Clownpierce or we’re going to force them out of you.” The man grinned, walking forward.
Branzy huffed, smoke pouring out of his nose and drifting lazily up into the air.
“So,” one of the women took the gag out of his mouth, “easy question first. What are Clownpierce’s plans?”
“And why would I tell you that?” Branzy growled.
The man’s grin shifted into a smirk. “ah, so you do know his plans.”
The ender dragon froze before snapping, “Clown’s going to be so mad when he finds out what you’re doing.”
To his confusion, the man and women simply started laughing at his words.
“Is that supposed to scare us?” He laughed. “Why would the Clownpierce care about some nobody?”
“What?”
“Yea, why would he care about some small weak vigilante he worked with once?”
Oh.
Oh.
They thought he only worked with Clown once.
They didn’t know they were brothers.
Yea that made sense.
“Once?” Branzy played along. “I’ve worked with him multiple times and he finds me very helpful, I’ll have you know.”
The man grinned even wider. “Oh, great! Then you’ll definitely have some useful information.”
Oh crap.

Branzy hit the floor.
Hard.
The person who threw him into the room dusted their hands and locked the door.
It had been three days (or at least that’s what he had heard one of the kidnappers say).
Three days since he had been kidnapped.
Three days since the torture started.
Three days since he’d last been free.
And each day (probably) the same thing happened.
At some random point of the day, he’d be dragged out of the cold, empty room and tied to a chair. The man would ask questions, he would refuse to answer, the pain started.
After he would get thrown back into the room and receive a stale piece of bread before he was left alone to try not go insane.
Right now he was just bruised from the bats they had used and a bit shaky from the waterboarding they had tried a few minutes ago.
But it was fine.
Clown was on his way.

The two women were called Linda and Laura, they were twins.
The man was strangely determined for Branzy not to know his name.
They still asked questions like he would answer any of them.
The torture was getting more intense.
But it was fine.
Clown was on his way.

The meals changed to gristle.
It was always really tough and basically inedible.
Branzy still ate it, he had to stay alive.
But it was fine.
Clown was on his way.

How long had it been?
Days? Weeks? Months? Years? Decades?
Who knows.
But it was fine.
Clown was on his way.

Elias.
The man’s name.
Elias didn’t like him.
The twins didn’t either.
Mad that he wouldn’t break.
But he wouldn’t talk.
He wouldn’t betray his brother.
But he was fine.
Clown was on his way.

Branzy opened his eyes.
He was in his room again, he basically always was.
His breathing hitched as he tried to push himself up.
“It’s fine, I’m fine.” He whispered to himself.
He looked down at his body, trying to catalogue his injuries.
His leg? Mangled.
His wings? Battered and bruised.
The leather bit in his wings? Sliced through.
And that was just surface level.
He would have continued but he felt his stomach twist and bile start to rise up his throat, the longer he stared at his body.
He closed his eyes.
Clown was on his way.
He just had to wait patiently.

Branzy was woken up by a hand in his hair, pulling at the roots.
He whined as he opened his eyes, meeting the eyes of Linda (or was it Laura).
“Hey little dragon.” Elias’ voice echoed through the room.
The ender dragon’s gaze slid behind the twin and landed on Elias and Laura (supposedly).
“Aww. Is someone sleepy?” Laura mocked as Elias reached into his pocket, pulling out a taser.
Oh God.
The first touch was pure pain.
The second was worse.
After the tenth, Branzy zoned out, letting them do whatever they liked.
His vision went blissfully blurry, his mind blank as the pain numbed completely.
After a while, he faintly realised that nothing was touching his body.
No hands.
No taser.
He didn’t really care, they were probably just asking questions again.
He still flinched slightly when a hand touched his shoulder, though he stayed zoned out.
The ender dragon vaguely noticed that someone was calling his name but he refused to give them the satisfaction of responding.
A hand grabbed his chin and tilted his face upwards, through blurry vision he met black, red and white-
Wait.
Black, red and white?
His kidnappers all had blond hair though, didn’t they?
His eyes widened as he realised and finally focused his vision.
“Clown?”
“Yes, finally!” Clown’s voice cracked. “I thought you were- I’m so sorry, I looked for you everywhere and-”
“...How long?”
“2 weeks, I’m so sorry.”
“It’s ok, you’re here now.” Branzy whispered.
“Ok, c’mon let’s get you out of here.” The jester picked him up carefully, his arms behind his back and under his knees.
Branzy whimpered softly as it jostled his wounds.
“I know, I’m sorry.”
Clown started walking towards the exit, until Elias jumped out of his hiding place, eyes wide with terror though he still pointed a gun at the duo.
The jester chuckled softly which just looked to creep Elias out even more.
“Nice try.” He chuckled before he whipped his own gun out and shot Elias in the head. “But not good enough.”
Clown stepped over the body, holding Branzy close.
The ender dragon didn’t know if he was going to recover.
But he knew everything would be fine.
His brother was here.
