Chapter Text
Flickering hues of orange illuminate the darkened night, casting shadows and revealing hooded figures. In a circle they stand with a torch in one hand, their capes fusing them with the world around, were it not for the flicker of light dancing over the fabric. And in the middle stands a man, clad in nothing but the finest clothes and jewellery, eyes closed yet lowly humming a song.
One by one, the hooded figures follow the man’s tune, and soon, a song as old as time is heard throughout the mountain village. Slowly, they sway to the tune as torches move in a studied order.
Once movement ceases, he moves, with the lightest of sounds, walking to the end of the circle. A woman clad in white steps forward and speaks words of blessing before letting him pass, the circle of people staying behind as their gazes follow him.
In the darkness of the night, only the moon is a steadfast companion.
Doors and windows stay closed as he walks, no chatter to be heard and no wishes to be had. And as he wishes to see a face one last time, he is greeted by the pitch-black forest up ahead.
As nobody makes themselves known, he wanders into the forest, knowing a glance back would ruin the ritual. Once he breaks through the threshold of the forest, the village disappears as if it never existed to begin with.
And so, his journey of promised suffering starts.
What was described to him as a journey of merely a day or two turned into a week - a week within the forest bordering his home village, yet nothing has crossed his path so far. No human, no monster.
He is decently skilled in hunting, which has made him able to survive this long, yet that too has its limitations. Fingers, which were always held in pristine condition, got rough and scratched within the first few days, while his feet, which only ever walked in shoes, were barefoot the entire time and made walking as painful as possible. Not to speak about his clothes.
As the sun goes down on what seems to be day eight of his journey - which he can only assume since the forest is thick enough to filter out most light - he sits down against a tree trunk and observes the damage on his hands. It is painful, yet it barely mattered to him, each jerk of pain another acknowledgement of him being alive.
Lost in thought, he presses his thumb deeply into a wound and blood trickles out of it when a branch nearby snaps. Freezing, he listens, waits, tries to calculate what could have snapped the branch.
It was not the first time he had heard movement nearby, and he likes to tell himself that something has been following him, yet whenever he just as much as attempted to investigate, all sounds around him ceased to exist.
This time, when he looked up, there were eyes. Yellow glowing eyes staring at him from afar.
He was getting stalked. Not by a monster, not by a human, but by an animal that had tracked down a wounded prey.
Him.
Next to him on the ground lies the ceremonial blade he was given as an offering and which helped him hunt down smaller animals, yet it could not be considered a weapon for either offence or defence; the blade too small and its craft more focused on design.
Carefully, he takes hold of the blade while slowly getting up, refusing to give up just yet. He has made it so far-
He barely has time to react as the animal jumps out of the shadows, leaping at him. It is a mountain wolf, one of those that no man could kill with a measly ceremonial blade, but he has to try.
Yet, before the mountain wolf can reach him, something barrels into it and rips it back into the void of the forest. Yelping and barking can be heard, rustling; a fight for certain. Sounds akin to ripping skin and breaking bones echo back, and he has to hold his mouth in horror so as not to vomit. Closing his eyes in terror, he shrinks back into himself, cowering, shaking in fear of what might happen to him next.
The forest becomes quiet.
And deep down he knows he’s next on the monster’s plan.
Heavy steps draw closer, regardless of what is in its way. With each branch snapping, an image of his own bones breaking becomes vivid in his mind.
Thud. Thud. Thud.
It is an imposing sound, and once it stops, he is too afraid to look up and see for himself what is about to devour him.
However, an indescribable feeling rushes through him, forcing him to look and see.
To see whom he most likely was meant to meet a weak ago.
To see whose existence he was forced to worship his entire life.
To see for whom he is supposed to give his life up for so everyone else could live in harmony and peace.
The mountain God.
Before him, in the appearance of a wolf, stood the mountain god in all of its glory. Two to three average humans high, while one look at the legs exposed muscles that could shred him to pieces quicker than he could cry out.
Piercing blue eyes stare at him, daring him to look away and find out the consequences, yet he does not move and sits as still as possible, with the ceremonial blade feeling heavy in his hand.
His heart threatens to give out the moment the God steps forward, its presence too oppressive that the slightest move makes his head hurt.
May it be the way he has lived the past week; may it be the fear of encountering a god, for all its worth, he is glad that it is over - his task of reaching the God was a success. That he feels weak in its presence is something that was foreseen a long time ago, each and every sacrifice being prepared for the inevitable encounter.
Although his vision begins to swim as the God comes even closer, its hot breath pulling at his clothes, and once the God looms over him, he passes out; the last thing in his mind is the sound of what seems to be the mountain God’s voice.
“Human boy-”
He awakens with a screech, sitting up and grabbing the next best thing close to him, which is a blanket made out of animal fur. Shaking, he digs his fingers deep, looking around in clear panic.
Nobody is there. The room he is in is devoid of any other living being. The bedside candle flickers and illuminates enough to give him a vague layout of the room. A wardrobe against the wall to his right, a mirror to his left, the door right across the bed. The bed he was placed in was big enough for two people.
Lohen’s panic does not subside immediately, too confused about where he is and why.
And for a while nothing happens.
After a week in the woods and a near-death experience, Lohen cannot force himself to get up and explore, to find out where he is. The softness of the bedding calls to him in ways that they have never before.
Then, after a while, a knock on the door. When Lohen does not answer, it is quietly pushed open, and a head peeks inside.
Once their eyes meet, Lohen freezes, incapable of moving.
Those blue eyes.
“Good, you are awake.”
Unlike what he heard before, the voice is soft yet distant, very much akin to the voice of a normal man, albeit a bit deeper. Who steps inside is less wolf and more human than Lohen anticipated.
The mountain God in its human form.
The very God that saved him from being eaten alive.
The very God whose wolf form could reign terror on any place known to him.
Lohen averts his eyes immediately, bowing as deep as his current position allows. His movement is subconscious, following the script he was taught from his early age.
The silence between them is deafening, and Lohen knows he should say something, anything to come forward and present himself as the sacrifice he was meant to be, yet the presence of the God alone robs him of his ability to speak.
The floorboards squeak as the God moves, and each squeak makes Lohen jump a little.
So many thoughts, so many feelings running through his mind.
Yes, his purpose in life was to be whatever the God wanted him to be, but a part of him still, to this day, hated the fact that all his life he was only meant to please.
A hand takes hold of his chin. Shocked, Lohen lets it happen and finds himself face to face with the God he worshipped since he could think.
A God of outstanding beauty, truly.
“I am guessing it is time for another sacrifice. Is that you, boy?”
He nods quickly, attempts to speak, but his words fail him.
“First time for everything,” the God murmurs as he looks at Lohen’s body. “Very well. Let us patch you up.”
Confused, he watches as the God removes the blanket which had acted as a shield between them and sits down on the bed. Not that Lohen could refuse this person, this God; however, it did not change how weirded out he felt once the God took hold of his feet. Calloused fingers gently caress Lohen’s wounded feet, each swipe sending sparks through his body. The God glances at him occasionally.
“Now your hands.”
Dropping Lohen’s feet, the God takes his hands and proceeds to do the same, and this time around, Lohen can see how his skin patches up right in front of his eyes. All blemishes and cuts disappear without leaving behind a single scar. The mountain God drops them back into Lohen’s lap without another word.
“My hands…” he says softly, turning them, completely stunned.
The God only gives him a smile before getting up.
Lohen urges forward, suddenly inclined to do something, anything in the presence of a God, so he takes hold of the God’s shirt.
“Please-! Let me show my gratitude-!” Lohen urges, stands up and then drops to his knees. “Let me be of use in any way you deem fit, my God.”
Lohen must have surprised the God with his actions as he too drops to one knee and urges Lohen to stand up.
“That will not be necessary-”
“But I was sent as your sacrifice; it is my duty to serve you!”
Stress lines appear on his God’s face, and Lohen fears he might have said the wrong thing until a hand clasps over his mouth, so gigantic that Lohen’s eyes widen in surprise.
“No serving, no duty, no sacrifice. You can stay here, or you can leave, but do not, under any circumstance, fall to your knees and say that you want to show me your gratitude. Your God does not appreciate his folk throwing their lives and free will away. Did you get that?”
Truthfully? No.
With everything that has happened, especially with how quickly the situation changed, Lohen feels like he understands nothing anymore.
Yet if his God wants him to pretend that he understood, he will. As he nods, the God lets out a sigh and releases Lohen from the makeshift prison.
“My name is Varka. Feel free to call me as such if you decide to stay here.” The God stands up and looks down at Lohen’s kneeling figure. There is a flash of something in his eyes that has Lohen reeling, desperately wanting to know what it is. “You must be hungry. I shall prepare a meal. Join me once you feel ready for it.”
The God Lohen has worshipped his entire life leaves without much more.
And Lohen? Lohen feels like his mind just completely shut down.
His God does not want Lohen to serve him? Does not want Lohen on his knees? His God - Varka - willingly cooks food for him?
Nothing of his upbringing could have prepared him for this encounter.
Gods are supposed to be scary and domineering, ready to squish even the smallest human underneath their greatness.
The God’s appearance in the forest was exactly that. An image he would never be able to forget.
Is this really right?
Once Lohen calmed down, he followed the God into another room which looked a lot like any other living room he had ever been in. Couches and tables, woven blankets and animal fur, candles lit in every part of the room as steaming hot soup in a bowl was placed on the table, awaiting his arrival.
If he did not know it better, Lohen could have assumed this hut belonged to someone in his village.
Yet the eyes looking at him were inhuman and asking him to come over without a single word being said. Lohen surrenders, as he should, and takes his place across from the God, noticing how only he has food before him.
“I do not need to eat. If my presence bothers you, I will take my leave-”
“Your presence could never be of a bother,” he intercepts quickly, only to hang his head low in shame.
Interrupting a God now? How much lower does Lohen want to fall? And then, a thought. Does his God know about all the deranged thoughts Lohen had over the years, the made-up scenarios and fantasies he had entertained awaiting this encounter?
There is a stretch of silence before a sigh rips the awkward tension apart.
“You are a hard nut to crack, huh?”
Lohen looks up and sees tiredness in his God’s features. Handsome features.
Oh, oh wow, he is so handsome, Lohen thinks and mentally slaps himself. This is hardly the time to ogle and lust after a God. The sentiment, however, stays the same. Much more handsome than any fantasy Lohen ever had.
“Pardon?”
“As I said, you are free to do as you please. I may be a God, but I do not and never have wished to be worshipped.”
That cannot be true.
Lohen learned from the ripe age of three that the most important deity in his life is the mountain God and their protective hand over their land. He learned every prayer, every ritual, and every secret message ever sent to his people in preparation for becoming the next sacrifice.
And this very God, Lohen did everything in his life for, does not want to be worshipped?
“I do not understand-”
“Then simply do not,” his God replies and once again points at the food in front of Lohen. “For the time being, simply exist. Learn alongside and then eventually leave once you have learned the truth.”
The supposed truth Lohen learns is that his God, through all of his glory and achievements, is what children would call a loser in a hot body.
It took Lohen only a week and a half to learn this fundamental truth, and he thinks Varka had not been referring to that at all. That entire week and a half, Lohen had done nothing but observe the God in his daily routine, eat the food he was presented with and get shot down any time he as much as attempted to help out somewhere. Being shut down so often made Lohen witness time and time again how even Gods are seemingly flawed.
His God cannot bake any bread. It turns out like charcoal any time. Whenever it is retrieved from the oven, Lohen can hear Varka curse someone’s name before the bread is smashed into pieces and thrown out.
His God is also an enjoyer of fine wine and beer, and will drink much more than needed.
Lohen did attempt to serve his God sexually during times of intoxication, but each attempt failed with Varka suddenly becoming sober, and promptly removing him from wherever he was.
Above all, his God's life is boring.
He does not read, he does not tend to a garden, he does not meet people. The entire week and a half, Lohen’s only form of entertainment was the God himself and his clumsy attempt at making Lohen’s life easier.
Now that he acknowledged the ‘loser part’, Lohen definitely finds himself back at the ‘hot body’ part.
Lohen has met his fair share of pretty and handsome people, and he would consider himself fairly decent as well, but Varka, the mountain God himself? Sex on legs, the embodiment of everything Lohen finds attractive in men. If the God is a man? He does not know, but from the way Varka speaks, Lohen assumes as much.
And the very prominent bulge in the God’s pants whenever he sits or moves, clothes definitely too tight to hide anything.
With a sharp face and broad shoulders, muscles to die for and a height that makes him loom over Lohen, it is hard not to fall into naughty fantasies each night with the God only doors away.
One of the things Lohen was taught as soon as he became an adult was that he might need to serve his God with sexual desires, and such he practised in the quietness of his chambers, revisiting the textbook definitions he was taught. Having the God before him was a stark reminder of how little those textbooks got correct.
And so, Lohen continued on his journey to somehow gain the favour of his God and maybe, eventually, fulfil one of his unhinged, deeply shameful desires.
Two months have passed, and Lohen feels like pulling his hair out.
His God has not made a move on him, not even asked for a simple task, in two months. Lohen is not even allowed to do the dishes without being shushed away.
He has, officially, reached his breaking point in more than one way.
Sure, his God has lived thousands of years without him; he can do tasks without Lohen’s help just fine. But then why does Lohen even exist? What is the purpose of his existence when the one thing he was prepared for does not even want help?
“Sit down and eat,” Varka would say with softness.
“Let me take care of the roof,” Varka would shush Lohen away, who was attempting to fix the broken roof after the last storm.
“A God has no sexual desires, Lohen; those types of favours you wish for are inappropriate,” Varka would dodge any attempts of Lohen getting into his pants.
At the very least, the last excuse was a lie. Lohen had seen the very clear, very obvious erection his God had sported after showing Lohen a nearby lake and watching him swim for a while. Maybe Lohen had posed and looked exceptionally desirable that day, but who could blame him when his target obviously bit the bait only to run away after. Regardless of the outcome, Lohen finally knew that his God was not as nonchalant as he presented himself.
It might be stupid, it might be foolish, but Lohen wants this God on him, in him, all over him. Any and all kinds of fears had vanished during the time of them living together.
If his God wants him to freely decide for himself and take the reins of his own life, Lohen should be allowed to want the God that gave him said freedom.
Is it blasphemous? Yes. Does Lohen care at this point? No.
His lusting after his God was already crossing a line; a line he crossed many, many years ago before he ever had an idea of what Varka looked like.
Even if it takes years, Lohen will get his God’s hands on himself.
Varka is exceptionally good at hiding his wolf form from Lohen. After the initial first time, when Varka had defended his life, there were no further incidents in which Lohen could get a glimpse of a wolf.
Lohen was not attracted to the wolf part of Varka; at least he did not think that he was, but it does not lessen his wish to gaze upon that mighty wolf once more.
He heard Varka’s howl twice in total. Once during a full moon, when he was wide awake, wondering if it was finally time to be devoured, and the other time when Varka told him to stay put and out of danger, before rushing outside and fighting whoever dared to trespass on his land.
Once he returned and saw Lohen anxiously waiting in the living room, Varka pulled him into a hug with a big sigh and mumbled words.
Those words, which were never meant to be heard, are deeply engraved into Lohen’s heart.
It did not get to you; you are safe. Please stay safe.
Months pass; their dynamic barely shifts.
What does change is their conversations. Varka is much more open about stories Lohen wants to hear and major historical moments he has never heard of. In exchange, Lohen tells his God about his childhood and teenage years, what the village looked like and why he was chosen as a sacrifice.
It is during these conversations that Lohen is reminded of the very first yet most prominent problem this whole ‘a human sacrifice’ thing had: Lohen is a man.
Unlike any other sacrifice before him, Lohen was not born a woman and never appeared as such. From the textbooks he read and the priests who taught him, every single one of them emphasised that the mountain God would usually use the sacrifice to create offspring and take as a wife.
Lohen could neither bear children nor be a wife.
And he ponders and wonders if that might be the reason why Varka hesitates to even ask for the slightest of things.
The God might very well just not be attracted to him in the grand scheme of things, even if he occasionally had an erection around Lohen. A bodily reaction does not equal actual attraction, much less love.
That thought alone has Lohen shift in his bed every night.
Love.
Is he allowed to love a God in a way that has nothing to do with worship?
Because what he feels around Varka is less of a devout follower and more of a man with a unreciprocated crush. He wants to climb Varka like a tree and spend comfortable time just being at his side, existing as his other half.
He wants Varka more than he should. More than any religion ever allowed.
“Good morning Lohen-”
A cup falls to the ground as Lohen walks in leisurely, barely glancing at the God as he makes his way to the kitchen. He can hear the God sputter in surprise behind him.
Good, he thinks, takes the food prepared for him only to ‘accidentally’ drop his fork. With a theatrical sigh, he bends down to pick it up. The curse that follows is loud, inappropriate and exposing the God in more ways than one.
A glance back reveals Varka flushed, eyes on his naked thighs, right underneath where Varka’s shirt stops hiding Lohen’s figure and an increasingly obvious sign of want in those godly eyes.
Lohen found out that his feelings might very well be reciprocated as Varka got worse and worse at hiding his attraction.
So Lohen does what Lohen does best: be a brat.
Showing his cleavage here, stretching himself to reveal his stomach there, moaning extra loudly at a delicious piece of cake - at this point, it is an art Lohen has mastered.
The ultimate test, however, is about to descend upon them very soon.
There is barely a knock before the door cracks wide open and a woman steps inside Lohen has never seen before. Long blonde hair, piercing eyes, an illuminating aura - she is not human, Lohen determines within the first second.
She strolls right up to Varka and kisses both of his cheeks before turning to Lohen and ruffling his hair.
“How adorable!”
She speaks, but her mouth does not move.
“Nicole,” Varka stresses, pinching his nose bridge. “I told you to knock before coming inside.”
“I did!” The woman - Nicole - enthusiastically says yet again without speaking. “I was so excited to meet your new sacrifice I could barely hold back; I am so sorry!”
Lohen’s cheeks are promptly squished, then pulled, before she nods to herself in what seems to be acknowledgement. Confused about the situation, he chances a glance at his God, only to find the man staring at Nicole with an expression he has never seen before.
She is beautiful. Lohen, in another life, would be very much attracted to her instead of Varka. He cannot blame the God for having feelings for her. It makes sense now why Varka never made a move on him when the people around him were as gorgeous as her.
That his heart breaks a little is his secret to hold.
The two otherworldly beings start up a conversation. Lohen completely turns it out, frozen in place to keep his act together.
He cannot tell for how long they speak, as the house of his God has no clocks to turn to. Yet, as Nicole attempts to leave, she reappears before him and wants to pinch his cheeks once more.
Lohen slaps her hands away.
The silence after is heavy.
Nicole only regards him with surprise, head leaning to the side a little as if to ponder why Lohen might have done such a thing before her eyes light up in a sudden ‘eureka’ moment.
“I see! That is how it is! How interesting, very interesting. I shall visit you soon again; I need updates. Maybe I can incorporate this into the next draft of my volume …”
She speaks as much as she moves, and they both watch her disappear as swiftly as she appeared, the door falling close behind her.
Once she is gone, Varka sighs deeply and turns to Lohen with a seemingly annoyed expression.
“What is up with you? She was my guest; be a little nicer, will you?”
Lohen, though, only hums, deep in thought about what just happened and how it affected him. Because no matter how one might see it, the mountain God has not once looked at him the same way he did at Nicole.
His very first and biggest worry comes back to bite him now.
“Lohen?”
A rough hand lands on his shoulder, and he has to keep his mouth shut to not groan in delight.
Playing it safe, he looks up, a slight smirk on his lips as he speaks.
“Now I understand why you have not made a move until now. She is the one you desire, is she not? No wonder you would not touch the sacrifice, much less a man when you have such a wonderful woman around.”
That hits the God unprepared, as Lohen notices. Varka’s eyebrows furrow and an expression of confusion flickers through his eyes.
“What kind of nonsense are you speaking of now?” Fingers dig deeper into his shoulder, and Lohen shudders at the delicious twing of pain. “Nicole is a being forbidden to love and be loved; her purpose is being a guide and not a lover. I have never been interested in the angel nor any other women I have met so far. That I refuse to touch you inappropriately has nothing to do with her or others.”
Surprised at Varka’s words, all he can do is stare at the God.
A God seemingly uninterested in women, despite all of the sacrifices up until Lohen had been female. Most people in the surrounding villages always assumed the God would use them to create offspring at best and then eat them to appease their hunger or have them as wives. And while Lohen, who was now around Varka for a couple of months, knew better than to believe in the ‘women-eating God’, hearing Varka himself say it so clearly shocked him.
How many instances of his people being wrong has he encountered so far since meeting his God?
“You…” He starts, but his voice wavers. Lohen’s entire belief system is shaken up. “If you have never entertained women, what about the other… sacrifices before me?”
The God deeply sighs as he takes his hand back, crossing his arms over his chest.
“If your little naughty head is imagining me gnawing on a human woman now, I might as well try it out on you,” says Varka. There is the spark of something in his eyes which Lohen saw before and yet he is still incapable of deciphering. That Varka speaks about eating somebody flew right over his head; instead, the naughty implication went straight south. “For your knowledge, I have released any sacrifices I stumbled upon, and given them into the hands of other Gods to assure a safe life in another part of the world. You will never meet any of them, but I can assure you that they live lives they should have lived from the start. One you should also live.”
Crossing his legs, Lohen wills his thoughts away to listen. It is not quite as easy when his body is so responsive to a God’s piercing gaze.
Although the last part sticks and draws him out of his thoughts.
“Unless you force me to leave, I will stay with you.”
“That is hardly the life a young human boy should have.”
Huffing, Lohen waves him off.
“I am not a boy but a man, and I currently live the life I want.”
“Very well, young man. This does not change the fact that you should have a wife and kids, and not be the sacrifice for a God that wants no sacrifices.”
And that has Lohen almost get up and tell Varka off - almost. Because how could the God still not see Lohen’s bodily attraction to him, so obvious and barely hidden, and yet speak of Lohen as a husband and father to a nonexistent wife and kids? Has he not shown how infuriatingly attractive he finds Varka since the moment of their first conversation?
If the mountain God is allowed to not indulge in the warmth of a female body, then why does Lohen need to indulge in it?
The much more pressing fact of him wanting to be ravaged and devoured by a God should be addressed above all else.
Frankly speaking, Lohen has had enough.
Getting up, he takes a few steps before he stands in front of the mountain God and pulls one of Varka’s hands. With surprising ease, Lohen takes the God’s hand and presses it right against his strained pants, and the throbbing arousal underneath. Varka freezes immediately, shocked eyes crossing his, but Lohen is too far gone to be bothered about his trespassing and arrogance in lieu of a God.
“Tell me then what is it that you currently feel in between your fingers? I can assure you that it has nothing to do with the imaginary dollhouse of husband, wife and kids you created in your head to justify not touching me - because, of archons above, you know I have been attracted to you from the start.”
“Lohen-”
Varka’s voice breaks as Lohen thrusts forward into the hold, moaning loudly.
“Even if- there is a reality in which I never became a sacrifice… I would never be attracted to a woman when a men with a physique like yours exist-” He is humping into a God’s hand at this point, feeling the tremble of his fingers each time Lohen moves. “When you exist-”
The hand on his crotch disappears as if burned, and Lohen wants to whine at the loss of contact, only to be slammed against the next wall. He can hardly comprehend what happened before his mouth is pried open and a tongue slips inside, rendering him speechless.
Lohen arches of the wall at the onslaught of emotions, arms attempting to hold onto the God’s shoulders only for both wrists to be caught and pinned to the wall above - for which the God only needs one hand of his own. The realisation makes his knees buckle. Varka's unoccupied hand is placed over Lohen’s stomach, its size bigger than Lohen’s mid-section, and has enough strength to pin him against the wall, his feet only meeting the ground on tiptoes.
As unsightly as it is, Lohen craves this manhandling from his God. He wants to be devoured until nothing is left.
Varka kisses him with a type of earnest desire that Lohen can barely keep up with, letting himself be guided and used accordingly.
To desire a God is blasphemy in itself - and yet all teachings evade him when Varka breaks the kiss to roughly bite his nape, egging him on and begging for more.
To say a God’s chosen name with lust and desire was a punishable act back in his village; now the God himself grunts into his nape at Lohen’s breathy moans, pressing open-mouthed kisses behind his ear and onto his pulse points to spur him on.
To listen to a God’s moans and wanting to monopolise them is something beyond anyone who ever taught Lohen could imagine, yet here they were, with Varka readjusting their bodies so that the God’s leg was pressing right between Lohen’s leg and having him ride on it.
“Lohen- Lohen-”
Never had he heard Varka speak his name with such desire, with so much unfiltered want that it had Lohen quiver in his hold.
Engulfed like this with a massive body above him, big hands holding him and a God showing Lohen how much he is desired, he finds himself feeling small and breakable yet unbearably seen at the same time.
“Ah- my God, oh my dearest God I- fuck- please- please-”
“What are you begging for, hm?”
As if the sensation alone is not enough, Varka speaks directly into his ear before changing course and starting to lick Lohen’s ear. He shudders and attempts to flee, yet the God’s all-encompassing power pins him right where he is. An amused chuckle is what he earns for his attempt.
“I want you...I want you in me, with me- please. I want to be yours- I- I need you to-” He breaks off to shudder as the coil in his stomach is about to get released. Lohen is teetering on the edge. Varka hums in encouragement while sucking marks into Lohen’s neck. “I need you to be mine-”
Varka detaches from his neck immediately to bend down and stare him right in the eyes, the piercing gaze of a God sending both fear and deeply unsettling arousal through his body, and he craves it like the deranged human that he is.
“You little minx,” is what Varka grits out in his hunched-over position, his hand still pinning Lohen’s wrists to the wall. "Blasphemy runs through your blood, it seems.”
Lohen laughs, finding it utterly comedic to have a God say that to him.
“Yo- You only noticed that now-?” He rasps out.
“If we had met a few thousand years ago, I would have smitten you without a second thought after you uttered such words.”
Oh.
Oh, to be a man being put in his place thousands of years ago by an unyielding God.
To be viewed as defiled and dirty by the ones around him-
The God’s hand travels from his stomach to Lohen’s chin, pressing a thumb on his lips and opening his mouth, holding it like that while Lohen’s tongue rolls out.
“To ask a God to be his, to judge a God’s decisions, to view a God sexually… you are a strange one, Lohen.”
He had not noticed, but with all the shifting they had done, Lohen no longer touched the ground, and the knowledge made his eyes roll back, body shivering while listening to Varka. Feet dangling with his crotch moving on a God’s leg for release, arms incapable of moving-
“I shall grant your requests.”
Lohen has but a second for the words to make sense before he’s ripped off the wall, hauled over Varka’s shoulder and brought elsewhere. His body shakes violently, and his vision goes white as he comes, the manhandling pushing him off the edge. If his God had noticed, he did not know, but that hardly mattered when he was thrown onto the bed Lohen had not been allowed on.
A God’s resting place.
His God’s resting place.
It’s a soft, wide bed, one Lohen has thought of when getting off, wished to sneak onto and get caught doing lewd things on.
The very same he is now pressed into. Hands are on him immediately, pulling off his clothes with little care if they ripped or not. Varka’s heated gaze falls upon his unblemished skin on his chest. Lohen’s mind is in shambles still after his orgasm, yet he holds up his hands just in case, trying to buy himself a minute at best.
“Wait, my God- what requests-?”
Towering above him, Varka sinks into his bed with a knee between Lohen’s spread legs. With surprising care, his hands are grabbed, and palms turned for the God to kiss. In the heat of the situation, a genuine sign of care.
Varka presses another kiss to his palm and slowly opens his eyes. He leans over, closer until he is close enough to put Lohen’s arms around his neck.
Every fibre of his body urges him to look away, to get away, to not be so close to a ruler of his world, yet Varka’s gaze pins him where he is, not even daring him anymore, no - they are asking him to stay, to endure.
“If I remember correctly, your first request involved me being inside you.”
Oh.
Oh no.
Lohen’s eyes widened, gaze flickering down for the slightest of moments to see the very prominent yet forgotten bulge in the God’s pants until now. He had not thought those words through; Lohen clearly did not.
Not that he does not want to try; he for sure does. The thought alone of being impaled by a massive cock had him shaking in want. Even more so if said cock belonged to a God he lusted after.
Realistically though, Lohen knew he could never ever get fucked by it without dying.
The outline alone made him drool in anticipation yet die on the inside.
“Not to sound ungrateful,” he grits out, gulping heavily as Varka bites his collarbone playfully. “Because I do want you inside me, but there is no way it will fit.”
At that, Varka sits up, pulls his own shirt off, and smirks with a type of confidence that would have scared anyone else but Lohen.
“It will fit just fine.”
Lohen is paralysed while watching Varka undress, and he thinks the God could do it even faster but deliberately takes his time to give Lohen a show. And a show it is, especially when his cock is finally free, arching and-
“Th-that is not-”
“A normal penis? Indeed.”
There was one crucial thing Lohen had forgotten - the mountain God was a mountain wolf God, a God with two widely different appearances. Now, seeing Varka naked and clearly excited for what was to come, Lohen realised that those appearances might overlap more than he thought.
Two wolf ears became visible on Varka’s head while a tail was swishing back and forth; the smirk revealed larger canines. Nails became longer, and some hair appeared on the back of his hands. Least of all, Varka’s cock. It was not human, that is for sure. The shape, the arch, the little knot at the end before the balls-
“I will die if you put that in me-”
“Nonsense,” Varka laughs as he climbs back onto the bed. If Lohen was just a bit taller, a bit sturdier, a bit broader, he would not feel as small and fragile underneath the God; however, it is too late to fret over unchangeable details when said God seemingly loves the difference himself. “I am not the first and will not be the last God to bed a human. How do you think these types of affairs can happen, when bodies are so vastly different?”
This time, as Varka puts his hand on Lohen’s stomach, he has the means to see it and the sight makes his toes curl. It is massive and easily able to span the width of it. Even worse, he can feel his cock leak pre-cum simply by having the God press his palm lightly into Lohen’s stomach.
“There is… a type of magic that makes sex between us possible, and what God would I be to let you down after I agreed to do your request?”
A little light seeps through Varka’s fingers, and once he lifts his hand, a seal is revealed. An intricate design put on the lower part of his belly, almost like a tattoo or a sign of belonging.
“I… what is this? Sex magic?”
Varka snorts, amused by Lohen’s confused question.
“You very well might call it that. It is a seal that binds you to me.”
As if to emphasise, the God presses down on the seal, and a spark runs through his body, making Lohen arch off of the bed. It is mind-numbing arousal that grips Lohen.
“Bin-binding-?”
“Yeah. Everyone will feel the claim on you and know you are mine. And for as long as you were that seal, I can devour you as much as you want, you insatiable minx.”
“But you are-!”
“Too big for this fragile human body?” Varka licks his lip as he gives Lohen a good once-over. “Sex magic, remember?”
He cannot help the flushing of his face at the serious use of ‘sex magic’ as a term.
“You are making fun of me.”
“A little,” the God agrees and laughs once Lohen glares daggers. “Besides the ridiculous name, it is also a symbol of belonging. As you wanted it, remember? You are mine, and I am yours. As long as you wear it, you can tell everyone that I am yours - not just your God.”
Those words meant for Lohen seem to be just as much for Varka, as the God’s tail heavily thumps on the bed. Left, right, left, right. Forcefully yet clearly excited.
Really, Lohen finds Varka’s excitement somehow endearing.
It does not distract him from the God’s physique at all, and, truthfully, those half-wolf features spike his own excitement even further.
Because who could say that they ever slept with a God, or even better a shapeshifting God?
Lohen could - very soon.
“Does that mean I have a lover?”
He says it as cheekily as possible, biting his lip and angling his body to tempt. They had already crossed the line of God and sacrifice, of God and devout follower; why should he not lean into it even more?
Eyes roam, take everything in until Varka looks back with a type of hunger that almost made him cum. It is embarrassing how Lohen yelps and tries to close his legs, only for strong, massive hands to keep them apart by his knees.
“In the old days, one would say that having sex with a human made said human their… wife.”
“I am not your wife!” Lohen playfully grabs Varka’s face and pinches his cheek. “At the very least you should bed me first before saying useless things.”
Varka only gives him a knowing look before diving down, deeper, deeper until-
Lohen yelps, hands clawing into Varka’s hair and feeling his ears twitch as the God goes down on him. His mouth is warm and wet, yet his tongue is surprisingly rough, the difference in sensation having Lohen jerk with every move. Undeterred, Varka continues dragging his tongue up and down, poke the slit atop before taking him fully again. It is embarrassing how quickly Lohen is pushed to the edge when Varka also goes for his balls, fondling them while continuing to blow him.
It is too much, entirely too much.
He cums down a God's throat without thinking twice about it, moaning and whining as Varka sucks every last drop out of him. Once Lohen is done, Varka looks up and waits until their eyes cross before licking his lips as if Lohen’s cum was the tastiest thing he has ever had.
“‘rry, I should have warned you,” Lohen slurs a little, head in the clouds and body inexplicably light.
The God only shakes his head with a satisfied smile on his face.
“I like surprises.”
Usually, Lohen would agree; the entirety of how his life has evolved since he stumbled into the forest months ago was utterly surprising. Although right now, he wishes for the God to tell him what he’s up to because the sudden entering of a finger in his hole has him grasping for anything to hold onto. Lohen yelps when there is little to no resistance from his body, and another finger just enters as easily.
“He-hey, you cannot just do that-”
The God only smiles and continues his movements, crooking his fingers just in the right way to press against a point that has Lohen see stars. The sharpness of his nails makes Lohen cry a little, the mixture of pleasure and pain intoxicating. Once found, Varka prods against it relentlessly, even adding another finger as he leans over Lohen and speaks into his ear.
“Do you know about this area in your body? It craves to be touched, and once someone does, it rewards with the highest pleasure.”
Lohen did not know, but that hardly matters when Varka has his own agenda, namely driving him insane.
“The seal intensifies this feeling even more, moulding you until we can be one without me hurting you.”
Body arching, fingers gripping the sheets and feet curling, he’s nothing but putty in the hands of his God and his desires.
He loses all sense of time while Varka plays with his insides, encouraging Lohen’s moans and praising him.
Yet once those fingers slip out, Lohen cums a little just from that alone.
Varka laughs, amused at seeing Lohen’s wrecked appearance. He sends the God a glare, yet only receives the most blinding smile as a response. Arguably worse is how Varka licks the fingers that were in Lohen just a moment ago and makes a deliberate show out of it.
“Perverted old man,” Lohen mutters.
“Maybe I am.”
With both hands on Lohen’s thighs, Varka lifts them enough so that both feet are against his shoulders and ultimately pulls him closer. This close to one another truly shows the difference in size in every aspect. Lohen’s mouth becomes dry once he sees their cocks next to each other. It does not help that he can still hear the tail thumping.
The God, tired of waiting, it seems, takes his cock and gently pushes it inside, stretching Lohen in the process. Just the tip is in, yet the sensation is enough to have Lohen cum all over his stomach once more and twitch heavily, clamping down on Varka’s cock while doing so.
He hears Varka curse above him and laughs, head basically empty at this point. Never, not even once, has Lohen ever felt this kind of arousal before.
The second Varka pushes deeper, Lohen is back fully hard and grasping at the God’s arm for purchase. He almost cannot believe his eyes. It is intoxicating to witness how, with shallow thrust after shallow thrust, the god descends deeper into his body until they are slotted together with little wiggle room.
There is a slight dent in his stomach where the seal is placed.
Oh archons, there is a dent in my stomach.
Rolling his eyes back, he misses the way Varka has to hold still to not fuck into him without a second thought. Fingers flexing into Lohen’s flesh, indents forming due to the long nails.
It is so much yet not enough.
“God, my God please- please- please- fuck-”
“Say my name, Lohen. Say the name of your lover.”
To underscore his demand, Varka pulls out and thrusts in one swift move with enough force to have the bed slam against the wall of the hut.
“Varka- Varka, please move,” his own fingers scratch over the God’s arms, leaving marks behind. “Give it to me.”
“As you wish, bunny.”
And really, there was only so much Lohen could comprehend before his world was rocked, torn apart and rearranged right before his eyes. Each thrust into his innermost parts had him moan loudly, demanding more, wanting it faster, and his God, his lover, was happy to oblige, to give him whatever he wanted.
Once Varka established his rhythm, he leaned over, almost growling into Lohen’s ears.
“That sign of bond also gives you more stamina and sex drive to keep up with a God, so better be prepared for a long day ahead.”
There is little said afterwards as the only sounds echoing back from the walls were moaning, groaning, skin meeting skin and the occasional begging for more.
Once Varka sits back on his heels, he keeps Lohen low on the bed and watches the bulge he creates with every thrust he makes - hand on Lohen’s stomach and all. It is the first of many orgasms that follow after their bodies joined.
And truthfully, the bulge is obscene, inhumane even. If there was no ‘sex magic ’, Lohen would not survive this; he is pretty sure about it but could not care for it in the moment, brain fully hooked on the arousing sight. He may or may not have fantasised about a moment such as this.
Moments later, Lohen finds himself bent in half with Varka fucking him from above. His neck hurts as he looks up. The sight is enough to forget about it. Sweat drops onto him as Varka fucks him like a mad man in a position that - he later learns is called a mating press, how fitting - has him cum yet again, surprisingly quick and easy. Maybe it is the position, maybe it is the magic; regardless, Lohen is on cloud nine.
Varka fucks him through it, praises him.
Lohen wants to answer him, but his mouth feels like cotton, nothing of substance coming out of it.
The God decides it is time for a change in position and pulls out, only to easily flip Lohen around, propping his hips up while one hand between Lohen’s shoulder blades keeps him down.
Varka slips in seconds later, and Lohen’s eyes roll back, desperately clawing the sheets as he is fucked at a pace that melts his brain. The bedframe is hitting the wall repeatedly. Each hit makes Lohen lose a bit more of his sanity, each thrust reminding him that he is currently getting his guts rearranged by the mountain wolf god.
Like a sheep ready to be eaten, he trembles underneath his God’s body.
“You are doing so good, Lohen.”
A hand slides over his own and their fingers intertwine as Varka changes the pace from fast to slow, yet the thrusts become precise and calculated in intensity.
“Taking me so well.”
In a different timeline, Lohen would have loved to talk back and show the God that he is not so easy - current Lohen finds it hard to even make sounds beyond desperate moans.
Time and space become nothing but constructs as he lets the God do as he pleases, seemingly knowing better than Lohen himself on how to please the human.
Sharp teeth bite marks into his neck and shoulder area, usually accompanied by a growl and words like ‘mine’ and ‘marked’ followed right after. The wolf within the God taking over with every bite. Lohen, even though his mind is cotton and nothing besides pleasure reaches him, finds himself smiling at the declaration of ownership. After months attempting to become the God’s sacrifice, he was finally at the goal - not as a sacrifice, but as a lover.
Varka fully pushes inside, stops and then sneaks an arm around Lohen’s middle to lift him.
Lohen yelps and tries to hold onto something. Varka only growls into his ear as he is lifted off the bed with the God now standing to it. The only thing keeping him from falling to the ground is the strong arm holding him up.
The God’s cock penetrates him in a way that has him see stars and cum pathetically once more, the drops hitting the ground.
A glance down reveals the wet floor.
A glance at himself the big bulge in his stomach.
And his feet are not touching the ground again.
Suddenly embarrassed at being presented like this, he attempts to move but only gets Varka deeper, urging the God to resume his thrusting. One of Varka’s arms comes up and hooks underneath Lohen’s arms to keep him steady while the other hand has a death grip on his waist, making it possible to thrust at all while Lohen’s feet dangle uselessly in the air.
A doll, that is what he is. That is how he feels.
Tiny, fragile, utterly at the mercy of someone stronger. And he likes it. Each new position is like a long-held fantasy coming true.
Maybe Lohen is more deranged than he had thought.
It does not matter much when the God he has these thoughts and feelings for finds them just as arousing, if the power of each thrust and the moaning of Lohen’s name is anything to go by.
Tears roll down his face, skin flushed and sweaty, and Varka licks them up greedily.
Until something changes. Better said, something hits him. It is so sudden that Lohen yelps in surprise when it hits him again, and again, and again, and it slowly seems to press inside.
“Varka- hey, Varka-?”
“My knot,” Varka replies with a deep rumble.
“Your what?!”
Through the fog in his mind, he finds an old memory where someone once told him that canines had knots. Canines. That included the mountain god?!
“I should have told you,” the God grits out and pushes for the knot to finally catch. “‘Need to get your pretty stomach round and full.”
As if it is not full already, is what he wants to tell him, were it not for the knot to finally slip inside. Pain shoots through him immediately, and it is so delicious that Lohen comes with a cry of Varka’s name. Varka still thrusts into him despite them being locked together, grinds into him when finally, the God groans into Lohen’s neck and cums. And cums. And cums even more. Lohen cries tears of ecstasy with every new burst of cum being pushed inside.
For a while he hangs there, head thrown back, canine fangs piercing his neck while his feet dangle and cum drips to the ground, unable to move a single muscle. Varka, though, recovers at some point and gently rubs his belly.
Glancing down, he finds the visual of his bloated belly to be unbelievable.
“You did well, bunny.”
His throat is dry from all his crying, so he can only hum and let himself be comforted.
After all of this, Lohen’s body feels sore and his mind tired, and despite the round belly, he finds the warmth residing within quite comfortable, not at all minding it. Everything combined makes him sleepy enough to let his eyes slip close and bask in the post intercourse glow.
Varka’s hand comes to rest on the underside of Lohen’s belly and just above his flaccid cock. He does not think much of it until the God speaks with roughness and greed.
“Once my knot deflates, let us go for round two, yeah?”
Needlessly to say, Lohen did not get sleep any time soon.
Lohen awakes sometime later; how much later he cannot tell. What he can tell is that the sheets he is lying in are changed, that his body got cleaned up and that the place beside him has barely any warmth left.
His first thought is that his God must have fled because he saw the whole thing as a mistake. The murmur of voices coming from outside of the room calmed his racing heart and the anxiety that had suddenly spiked. Surely, a God would not play such cruel games.
Deciding that he had slept long enough, he attempted to sit up, only to be faced with his entire body screaming in pain and soreness, reminding him that his lover was not human after all.
It takes a while for him to find his footing, and once he does, Lohen finds a comfy loose shirt and some underwear in Varka’s closet, throwing them on without much thought. And as much as Lohen enjoyed being pumped full of cum, he is quite thankful that his stomach has returned to its original size.
Carefully, he makes his way out, Lohen’s feet still a bit unsteady. He follows the sound of the voices, and once he locates them in the living room, he walks over and directly into it. Two pairs of eyes are on him within seconds, and their conversation comes to a halt.
A part of him had expected Nicole to have returned, but instead a fine-looking gentleman shares a saccharine-sweet smile at his entrance.
“Oh my, if that is not the human Varka is so utterly infuriated with.”
Even the man’s voice is sweet, and Lohen sees how quickly Varka blushes. Interesting.
“Please-”
Varka pleads, but the stranger shakes his head. With a few strides, the stranger stands before Lohen and musters him with much interest. Gulping heavily, Lohen keeps his mouth shut, knowing exactly what he looks like.
“Though I have to say, infuriated seems too soft a word if I take just the tiniest peek at the marks littering your body, Lohen.” His eyes widen in surprise as he is directly addressed. “Devoured seems more appropriate.”
“You damn lantern-”
“Did you lose control once you inhaled his sweet scent of sex?”
Lohen can see the mirth in the man’s eyes, the knowing what ticked Varka off without being a witness.
“Flins, please- can you shut up just this once?”
The two men share a glance that says more than words, and the man - Flins apparently - backs up to give Lohen room to breathe.
“Lohen, this is Flins; he is a servant of the God of Flames and a friend of mine. His tongue is sharp; do not fall for his sweet talk.”
Another godly-like creature. Many more to come, Lohen assumes.
“It is a pleasure to meet you,” Lohen says and bows a little.
“Oh no, the pleasure is all mine. Especially after Varka talked so much about you. It is quite a surprise that I found time to visit right after you bonded,” Flins laughs, and indeed, it is almost too sweet to be real. Lohen has a hard time believing that the timing is not intentional. “Maybe I should bring Illuga along some time, so you two can exchange how you feel about your immortal partners.”
Illuga? Immortal partners?
“Enough! Enough!” Varka stalks over and pulls Lohen close. The God’s face is now fully flushed. “I have to talk about all of your embarrassing past next time I meet Illuga, so you know the taste of your own medicine.”
Flins only shakes his head in delight when someone knocks on the door. None of them is quick enough to answer before it swings open and a very wide-smiling angel walks directly inside.
“Have none of you learned how to knock?!”
“Oh darling Varka, you have finally bonded the human!” Nicole completely ignores him and eyes them with clear interest. “And he can still stand!”
Lohen only looks at the three otherworldly presences around him and knows that the rest of his human life will definitely be anything but boring - and better than he could have ever anticipated.
Sometimes lusting after your God is the right decision, after all.
