You can text me when punching mattresses gets old

Summary:

Cross froze, stumbling away from Killer. He grabbed at the nylon of what he realized was a dog collar.

"Killer, what the fuck is this?" the skeleton in question giggled.

"C'mon puppy, trust me?" Cross did not like the feeling that stirred in his gut at those words.

Or, Killer convinces Cross to become his puppyboy when the others are out.

Work Text:

Cross groaned, rolling over on his bed and slamming his phone on the nightstand. He was restless. It was quiet in the apartment, and Cross hated it. He'd been trying to distract himself by scrolling mindlessly, but that only worked for so many hours before the itch under his — metaphorical — skin grew too great.

He sat up, rubbing his face. Cross glanced at the digital clock, 8:05 pm. Good, enough time for me to go to the gym. It was what he'd been occupying himself with lately, when Killer, Dust, or Horror were off doing who knows what. When Cross wasn't working, he really didn't know what to do. Sitting and doing nothing felt wrong.

Cross stood, stretching and popping his spine in the process. He was in his lounge clothes, a simple t-shirt and gym-shorts. He walked over to his desk to grab his discarded black hoodie from his chair. At that point, the AC kicked in. It was always the loudest in his room because his only window hosted the rusted unit. It shuddered to life.

After his hoodie was adorned, he occupied himself with smoothing out his bed sheets. Cross leaned over to grab his phone to pocket it along with his earbuds, wallet, and car keys. Cross could feel the tension in his back, he needed to get out. He carefully crept out of his room, unsure if anyone else was home, and shut his door behind him. His room was conveniently closest to the exit, just a short path down the hallway and past the living room.

Cross wandered down the hall, painted a soft white color. His combat boots were neatly lined up on the shoe mat, a stark contrast to Killer's worn sneakers which were carelessly discarded. Meaning, he was home and the others were probably out. Cross had half the mind to fix the shoes, but stubbornly thought that he should stop cleaning up Killer's messes.

Cross was about to put his boots on when a painfully familiar voice cut through his musings. He startled.

"Heya Crossy, where ya goin'?" Killer drawled, sidling up to him. Cross didn't spare him a glance.

"Out," he grumbled curtly.

"Well I can see that," Cross could imagine him rolling his eyes, "You going to the gym? You've been spending a lot of time there recently."

"What I do is none of your damn business. We're roommates, not best friends," this time, Cross turned to meet Killer's face. Dried streaks of black tar were smudged across his cheeks, his shirt was stained, and his soul pulsed in the dim light of the apartment. Killer pouted.

"Aww, Crossy, do we really mean that little to you?"

"Stop calling me that," Cross growled. Killer's brows rose.

"Wow, so tense. Need to blow off some steam, hmm? I know that's why you're going out. I could hear you tossing and turning in your room for the past hour. Someone so big as you isn't meant to be quiet," Killer leaned in closer to him. Cross couldn't help the flush that warmed his cheekbones.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Well, I'm just saying I have a better way for you to unwind," Killer grinned and pulled something from behind his back that Cross hadn't noticed was there. Killer reached up to put it around Cross' neck, releasing it with the resounding click of a buckle.

"Let me take care of you, you don't have to think about anything."

Cross gulped. It was feeling a bit hot. His phalanges gripped the collar tighter but didn't move to take it off. The truth was, the offer was very tempting. It would be nice to let go for a little while, have someone else take the lead. Although, Cross would be loathe to admit it. Especially to Killer of all people. He would never live this down.

And it wasn't like he'd never had sex before. He could even acknowledge that Killer was somewhat attractive. But he'd never done anything like this. And the level of vulnerability that Killer was asking of him…

Killer seemed to sense his hesitation.

"How about this, ever heard of the traffic light system? Need to slow down, say yellow, want to stop say red. Green means you're all good to continue. Simple enough for you to understand."

"Well, what about Horror and Dust? What if they come back?" Cross knew he was grasping at straws for excuses.

"Nah, Horror just texted me they're staying the night at his brother's place. That leaves the whole apartment to ourselves," Killer purred, eyes sultry. "So whaddya say, Crossy, wanna be my good doggy for tonight?" Killer magically procured a leash from somewhere. Cross should have been wondering where he got all of this stuff and how long he'd been planning to do this, but he was distracted by the way his knees wobbled.

"I'm gonna need a yes or a no, Cross," Killer stared at him expectantly, idly swinging the leash back and fourth like a pendulum. Cross swallowed, hands feeling clammy.

"…yes," he mumbled into his hoodie.

"What was that?" the asshole, Cross knew Killer heard him.

"I said yes!" Cross exclaimed.

"Great!" a smile split Killer's face. "Now, on your knees."

"W-what?" Cross blushed furiously.

"You heard me. And, last I checked, pets don't speak."

Every decision Cross had ever made that lead to this point flashed before him. Half of him fought against the instinct to submit and the other half…well, Cross didn't like what feelings Killer was drawing from him.

Stars, he was really going to do this. Cross swallowed hard. After a moment's hesitation, Cross sank to his knees. There was an audible thud as he hit the varnished wood flooring. He avoided Killer's eyes, not wanting to see the expression he wore.

"Now, come to me, on all fours," Killer commanded.

Cross wanted to cry. His stomach twisted with so many different emotions. But, he obeyed. He placed his hands on the ground, fingers curled under his palms. He stared down, studying the grit that sat in between the wood panels. It was scuffed. He should clean it soon.

"Cross," Killer sang, prompting him.

Cross took a deep breath and exhaled. He shuffled on his bare knees until he was staring at Killer's feet before him. The collar on his neck felt restricting.

"Hey, look at me," Killer's fingers slid under his chin, drawing out a full body shiver from Cross. His head was guided until he met Killer's empty sockets, looking down at him from above. Cross' mouth felt dry.

"Color?" Cross was momentarily confused before remembering what Killer had told him. Cross took another breath and steadied himself. He could do this.

"G-green," he replied. Killer hummed.

"That's a good boy," Killer stroked the top of his head. Oh god, what was happening to him? Cross squirmed at the feeling, barely holding down the whine that threatened to escape him.

"You liked that, huh? Want to be a good boy?" because of course Killer would notice.

"Well, I know just the thing to get you in the right headspace," Killer grinned. Cross briefly wondered what he meant before the next command came.

"Summon ears and a tail for me," Cross blushed. He had never done that before. It was rare that he summoned his ecto-body at all, let alone foreign appendages. But, he acquiesced. He closed his eyes to focus, imagining the ears and tails he had seen dog monsters adorn. Soon enough, he felt the weight of the faux flesh.

"Aww, look at my good puppy. You're so cute," Killer was quick to grab his ear, petting the sensitive nerves in a way that made Cross groan. He didn't even care that the mortifying noise left his mouth. It just felt so good. He leaned in, chasing the warmth of Killer's phalanges.

Cross' mind was drifting so far that he didn't notice Killer had attached the leash to his collar until he gently tugged on it. Cross whined, looking up at Killer. His tail swayed idly behind him, dragging on the floor.

"You look so good like this, Crossy. But, I'm gonna need us to move on into the bedroom, okay?" Killer spoke down to him in a way that felt patronizing, but Cross couldn't find the will to care. He nodded.

Killer pet him one last time before walking towards their rooms. Cross followed, still crawling on his hands. The collar jingled as it was jostled.

They walked past the couch in the living area, and down the hallway. The entire time, Killer did not look back. Yet, there was consistent tension in the leash. Cross wondered whether Killer meant his own room or Cross'. He didn't have to wonder for long, because Killer guided him passed his closed door.

Killer's room was conveniently next to his, but Cross couldn't remember ever being in there. It's not like there was much reason to. Though, Cross wondered if tonight would change that.

Killer pushed aside his dark, wooden door. Taped to it were various oddities. He was lead inside, relieved to be on carpet again and not wood flooring.

Cross sat on his haunches, unsure. He took a few seconds to take in Killer's room. It was dark, gloomy and stuffy. Dirty clothes were strewn about, a few wrappers and old food sat, suspicious stains adorned various surfaces, and a blanket was over the window. The only light came from his two monitors on his desk and the hallway. Killer grunted.

"Stay," Cross obeyed. Killer must have dropped the leash and walked over to his lamp because a second later Cross was blinking to adjust to the sudden brightness. Killer scurried around his room, pushing trash aside and closing his closet with his foot. He roughly adjusted his bedsheets and turned to the standing fan that was pointed at his bed. Killer put it at the lowest setting and returned to him.

Cross wasn't really thinking about the room. He was feeling restless, eager from the nerves. Killer looked into his eyes in silence for a few moments, before laughing quietly. He retrieved the leash again and shut the hallway door.

"Ready Criss Cross?" he teased, giving the leash a few yanks. Cross stumbled from the force, bracing his hands in front of him.

"On the bed now, big boy," Killer patted his side roughly as if ushering him like cattle. Cross scoffed, but he went with it.

He stood to pull himself onto the bed, but before he could get far Killer yanked him to the ground. Cross let out a choked sound of surprise, hands flying up to grab at the collar.

"Dogs use four paws, remember?" Killer tutted. Cross was about to quip back but one look at Killer's smug expression warded him off.

Eventually, Cross pulled himself onto the bed and Killer followed shortly after.

"Strip for me. Keep your shorts on," Killer demanded. Cross felt a jolt twist his stomach. He refused to admit it was arousal. It was humiliating how quickly he obeyed Killer. Within moments, he had pulled his hoodie and shirt off. He tossed them off of the bed, probably on top of Killer's dirty clothes.

Cross shivered from the sudden exposure, his ribs cold. His ears flattened against his skull. Killer hummed appreciatively.

"Wow, look at you. My big, strong dog," Killer reached out a single phalange to trace Cross' sternum. Cross yelped at the contact, but he couldn't pull away. Killer held the leash too firmly in his grip, so Cross was forced to lean in closer. His hand came up to trace his collarbone, then his collar, and finally his jaw. Cross whined at the onslaught of feelings, screwing his eyes shut tight.

Killer's finger finally found it's way to Cross' teeth. It traced around his mouth, gently scraping bone-on-bone. It encouraged Cross to part his mouth, so he did.

"Suck on it," Killer whispered. Cross could tell they were inches apart, even with his eyes closed. Killer's hot breath washed over his face, and he could feel the hum of Killer's soul as it drew near. Well, there was nothing much to lose now. He opened his mouth to take Killer's finger in. Cross held it like it was something fragile.

Killer stroked him gently with his thumb as he sucked on his finger. Cross still couldn't quite believe this was happening. He began to feel drool drip down his chin as Killer slowly thrust it in and out. Cross swallowed a few times, trying to take it deeper. His tongue pressed up on the underside of the finger. Distantly, he recognized he was making soft moaning noises. His tail thumped the mattress behind him. It was only when Killer spoke up that he realized just what Killer was making him do.

"Heh, bet you'd love to suck on something else, huh?" Cross' eyes shot open and he sputtered. Once again, he was halted by Killer's hold on the leash. "Aww, it's alright, don't be embarrassed. It's only natural to want to please your owner."

Holy shit, this freak, Cross thought. But, stuck at Killer's mercy he couldn't do anything about it. Cross was concerned that he wasn't as opposed to the idea as he should be. He whined around Killer's finger at the indignity of it all. He just got laughed at.

"Alright, I'll stop teasing you. Go on and lay down for me," Cross felt himself warming in anticipation. But still, some part of him refused to let go. His instincts were telling him that he should be the one in control, not Killer.

He complied, laying on his back on the bed. Killer's pillows cradled his head. Cross kicked at the bunched up blankets, adjusting to make himself more comfortable. Killer's smell was everywhere, he could almost taste it on his tongue. On second thought, maybe that was from his fingers… Cross gave into the urge to turn his head into the pillow and take a deep breath.

While he was distracted, Killer brought both of his hands to caress Cross' ribs. He gasped in surprise.

"Shh, it's alright, just relax. I take good care of what's mine," judging from the state of his room, Cross doubted that. But he let it slide.

Killer's fingers worked expertly to unwind him. They traced the sensitive nerves in a way that left Cross squirming. He whined pathetically, wanting something he wasn't quite sure of. Killer massaged over a particular scar on his lower rib and he yelped. Cross brought his hands up to grab Killer's wrists only to be sharply admonished.

"Hey, remember dogs don't use their hands. You don't want me to tie them up now, do you?" Killer grinned down at his prone body. Cross quickly retracted his hands and bunched them into the sheets. The collar was enough, thank you very much.

"That's my good boy," Killer pat the side of his face and tapped him on his nasal ridge. Cross glared.

He continued his ministrations, drawing it out to an agonizing pace. When Killer's hands landed on his lumbar spine, Cross arched off of the bed. His legs kicked out. Killer quickly pinned his hips to the mattress with both hands. Shit, Cross flushed, whimpering quietly. He stilled as Killer massaged his pelvis beneath the fabric of his shorts.

Cross was breathing hard, trying to refrain from crying out again. Killer showed him some mercy and moved away to his spine again. He spent time on each vertebrae, carefully tracing it and washing away every kink and discomfort.

After a few minutes of his, Cross couldn't stop his tail from wagging from where it was tucked between his legs. He hummed, arching into the feeling. Killer drew his hands up his spine, applying pressure the whole way. His body was left tingling with a pleasant haze.

"Roll over," Killer commanded, like one would a dog. Cross didn't think twice, rolling onto his front and leaving his back exposed to Killer. He folded his arms under his head and closed his eyes. Killer got to work, finding his scapula and pressing his thumbs into the dips. Cross moaned, hiding his face. Killer quickly unraveled him.

Cross tried to fight back the growing arousal. He could feel the magic swirling in his pelvis. When Killer threw his leg over to straddle Cross, he almost lost control. The feeling of Killer pressed into his back had Cross curling his toes.

At this point, Cross was panting with the effort of refraining. It would be weird to be aroused from this, right? Killer was just massaging him. Or, maybe that was his goal — Cross wouldn't be too surprised. It was hard to focus when Killer was so determined to break down his walls.

Killer suddenly grabbed his coccyx and that was the last straw. His hold broke and his ecto snapped into place. Cross gasped, trying to escape Killer's hold.

"That's what I was waiting for, good boy Cross," Killer cooed. Cross stopped writhing, hiding his face that was surely purple with how much he was blushing.

"Hey, wanna give me a color, puppy?" Killer delicately brushed over his lower back, now filled out with the sensitive faux flesh. It took a few seconds for his mind to catch up, tongue feeling heavy.

"Mmm green…" Cross mumbled. Killer moved to rub the base of his ears and Cross began a stuttering purr.

"You're so strong, my big boy," Killer breathed. He traced the ecto-flesh of his upper back and over his shoulders. "Look at all this muscle, you work so hard." Cross groaned at the praise. It was like Killer knew exactly what to say.

"Come here," Killer drew back. Cross sluggishly turned over to see Killer sitting with his legs crossed expectantly. Cross relented, not really thinking beyond wanting to chase the comforting touches. He collapsed against Killer's side, vaguely noticing Killer had his ecto summoned under his clothes.

"That's it," he praised, massaging Cross' thighs. Cross wrapped his arms around Killer's waist and pressed his head into the crook of his neck. He continued to purr, moaning at the way Killer touched him. The leash hung down his bare back, making itself known every time Cross moved his head.

Cross didn't even realize he had started grinding down on Killer's leg. But, it felt too good to stop. Killer's touches were encouraging and he was murmuring affirmations into his skull. Cross huffed, feeling dazed. He chased the friction, rutting harder, and his fingers dug into Killer's shirt. He felt the space between his thighs grow wetter and he realized he had formed a cunt, which he'd never really done before.

It felt good to give in. Cross shook with pleasure, releasing soft moans every time he moved his hips. Before he knew it, he tensed and climaxed with a whine. Killer's voice faded back in, he was petting soothing strokes down his back.

"Good boy, you did so well. Worked yourself up there pretty quick," Killer said with a lilt to his voice. Killer moved a hand to fiddle with the D-ring of Cross' collar. "Now, wanna help me out?"

Killer tugged at his collar, encouraging Cross do surface his face from where he had it buried in Killer's neck. It was very obvious he had an erection from where his shorts tented. Cross's tail wagged behind him at the thought.

"Heh, thought so. Put that mouth of yours to work, Crossy," Killer shifted until his back was to the headboard. He shimmied out of his shorts, revealing the deep red of his ecto. Cross studied the way it slipped off of him, cock presenting itself erect and hard. He felt himself salivate.

Cross didn't waste much time. He ducked down, rubbing his face on Killer's length. Killer grunted above him, pressing his hands to Cross' head. Pre-cum was smeared across his cheekbone and Cross breathed in Killer's scent deeply. He stuck out the tip of his tongue to give it a puppy lick. Killer squirmed.

"Hahh, Cross —" Cross opened his mouth, clamping down on Killer's cock. Said skeleton moaned, scrambling for purchase on the back of Cross' head.

It was warm, Cross hummed at the feeling. He gave a few experimental sucks on the tip before letting go. He licked a stripe on the underside, tasting the salt of his magic.

"Crossy, really you're mnngh — drooling all over," Cross licked it again as it bounced against Killer's shirt. Cross yelped as he was suddenly jerked forwards. Killer must've grabbed the leash again.

He took it down his throat, this time not letting go. Killer groaned, melting at the contact. Cross sucked at it. He wanted to use his hands to steady himself against Killer, but thought better of it. He swallowed it deeper, salivating around the length in his mouth. Cross felt it throb intensely.

Killer started rutting into his face, bucking his hips to drive his cock further. Cross made a noise of surprise and gagged as the head hit the back of his mouth. Killer steadied him with one hand, the other still holding the leash.

After being momentarily disoriented, Cross found the rhythm. His head bobbed in time with Killer's thrusts. He sucked on it the entire time, diligently working to bring Killer closer to an orgasm.

"Good — good dog, Crossy. You feel so good, just like that yeah," Killer groaned. He panted, quickening his pace. Cross felt a surge of arousal at the praise. He wanted to make Killer feel good. He would.

"Almost there," Killer whined. Cross felt him tense and his hips stutter. "You gotta nghh, swallow all of it."

Cross moaned, he sucked harder, and Killer broke. He hilted in Cross' mouth, forcing his nose-ridge flush against his stomach. Killer came with a depraved cry and the sweet magic flooded down Cross' throat. Cross swallowed in quick succession, trying to taste as much as he could.

He drank it down, eyes closed, and enjoyed the way it trickled down. It tasted so distinctly Killer that Cross didn't think he'd ever be able to forget the flavor. It wasn't long before Killer's cock softened in his mouth and he withdrew. The thing was sticky with his saliva.

"That's my puppy," he panted, petting Cross' head. Cross leaned in, still working to lap up the lingering taste. "You like the taste of your owner, don't you?"

Cross didn't really register the question, he just nodded. He began to roll his hips, chasing for more. Killer smirked down at him. Cross was surprised to see an eyelight spark to life within his perpetually dim sockets. It was focused on him.

"I've always wanted to know what you looked like after you give a blowjob, guess my curiosity's been satisfied," Killer said teasingly. His face was flushed that same pretty red as his magic.

"Does my good boy want me to fuck him?" at that, Cross whimpered. He nodded, already fumbling to rid himself of his shorts. The crotch was soaked with slick and he was thankful they were black.

Cross rolled over to lay on his stomach, Killer crawled behind him to straddle his legs. At some point he had discarded his shirt so they were both bare. Cross felt Killer stroke down his back until his hands came to his ass. Killer massaged where his tail met his back and he groaned. Cross spread his legs wider.

He wiggled until he pressed his ass against Killer's hardening member. Cross let out a needy whine.

"Alright — goddamn you're so wet Crossy," Killer slid his fingers along Cross' folds teasingly, mixing with the slick that had coated his thighs. Cross clenched down, ready for something that wasn't there. When Killer slid one into his entrance, Cross cried out.

"Haahh hnn!"

"What, think you're ready for me?" Cross nodded fervently, peering over his shoulder. The image of Killer pressed up against him just reinvigorated his desperation. He felt his insides warm up, yearning for his red magic to fill him.

"Alright, whatever you want baby," Killer coated his hand in his slick and lathered it onto his cock. The lavender color mixed with the saliva that was already on it. Cross fluttered.

Killer lined himself up. His arms came down over Cross' sides and Cross breathed heavily. His soul pounded in his ears at a dizzying pace.

There wasn't much preamble. Once Killer's tip prodded his hole, Killer rammed it in. Cross gasped, body fighting between pain and pleasure. He twisted his fingers into the gray bedsheets, clenching his eyes shut.

Killer adjusted above him, pulling out slightly, just to thrust back in at a maddening pace. Cross trembled, babbling debauched moans. The bed creaked with the force.

"Ohh Cross! You feel so tight around me," Killer whined. He found a particular spot and kept slamming his cock into it. Cross drooled, coming undone before him. Killer felt so big. He'd never had anyone inside him like this before, and Cross wondered how he could have gone without this his whole life.

Killer shut up for a few seconds, focusing on chasing the high. They both breathed hard, nothing but the wet slaps of their ecto bodies filling the room. Killer throbbed inside of him and leaned closer.

"Bark for me, dog!" Killer demanded into his skull. Cross complied, stuttered moans morphing into his desperate imitations.

"Arwuff! Gruff! Rhh…ruff!" Cross wailed, mouth wide open in a pant as Killer pounded him into the mattress. Killer found the leash again, yanking it so Cross arched into the body above him.

"Let me see your pretty face," and Cross' head bent backwards, flushed face stained with saliva and Killer's magic on full display for him to see. Killer groaned.

"I think I'm gonna cum, Crossy! Yeah, stay just like that!" he wheezed. Cross clenched down on his member, already letting out needy whimpers at the thought.

Killer thrust in and out a few more times before hilting deep inside. Thick ropes of his seed spilled from him, the red painting his insides a warm magenta. Cross' mouth was wrenched open in a silent cry of pleasure. He was sure he had climaxed, too. Killer groaned as his cock spurt, hips slowing to grind into him. Slick cum and stained the bed from where it dribbled out of him.

Killer brought his hand up to pet Cross' sides through the aftershocks. Now he was humping Cross' ass, seemingly reluctant to pull his softened cock from the warmth. But, he did.

Cross buried his face into the bedsheets. He was still panting hard from the exertion. His head felt pleasantly floaty, like there was a static haze. It had him whining into the blanket.

Killer maneuvered from behind him to collapse at his side. They sat there together for a few seconds in silence where the only noise came from the thrum of the fan. Then, Killer moved to pet Cross' head. Cross hummed and leaned into the sensation. His hand moved down to the collar buckle that rested against Cross' neck.

It came loose with a click and slipped off. Cross suddenly felt bare without it. He turned to look at Killer and was distantly surprised to see how serene he looked. His soul seemed to hesitantly rest in an upturned heart and he was looking at Cross with an odd expression. A bead of sweat slid down the side of his face.

"How ya feeling?" Killer almost whispered, preserving the intimacy of the room. Cross rumbled a response.

"Can you talk?" Killer questioned. Cross thought about it. He willed his mouth to work, but everything seemed so sluggish. When he finally summoned the intent, it was with hesitant, stilted words.

"Y-yeah, what…what did you do?" he croaked, "why do I…feel like this?"

"Subspace. I'm guessing you aren't too used to being the receiver, huh?" Cross shook his head. He just had the inexplicable urge to be closer to Killer. So, he sat up slowly and collapsed on top of the other. Killer reciprocated the contact.

"Hey, it's alright, you did so well," Killer soothed. He turned over from his prone position and wrapped his arms around Cross. He peppered kisses along his jaw that had Cross melting. He whimpered.

They laid like that for awhile before Killer started moving again. At some point, both of their ecto had dissipated, leaving their bare bones exposed to the still air of Killer's room.

"I'm gonna go grab us some water, okay? Just wait here for a minute," Killer murmured. Cross mourned the loss of contact, but he rolled off of Killer.

He laid there in the empty room, mind dissociating. Cross wasn't quite sure what to feel. He didn't know how long he stared at the ceiling, drifting in silence, but Killer soon returned. Cross blinked and he was above him, looking down. He held a glass of water in his hand.

"Sit up for me, hmm?" Killer prompted. Cross obeyed. Killer sat next to him on the edge of the bed and brought the lip of the glass to Cross' mouth. He slowly parted his teeth as Killer tilted the glass back. The cool water felt like a blessing. He didn't realize quite how parched his throat was until he was gulping down water. Killer rubbed soothing circles into his spine the whole time.

Cross withdrew when he was done, brushing away the stray droplets of water with his arm. He watched Killer return the glass to the nightstand.

"Feeling better?" Killer asked.

"What transpired here does not leave this room," Cross stated firmly. Killer laughed.

"I'll take that as a yes. Don't worry, Crossy, your secret's safe with me," Killer winked and Cross did not feel reassured. "Although, I'm sure you'll be back for more. Seems like you enjoyed it."

Cross scowled at him.

"Ooh, feisty. Looks like you're about to start growling," Killer teased, "Hey, just saying I'd love to have my puppy back." Cross looked away.

"I mean, I didn't hate it," he relented.

"Uh huh, yeah," Cross could practically hear the smug expression.

"What time is it, anyways?" Cross changed the topic. Killer allowed it and didn't press further.

"Ahh…" he swiped his phone from the nightstand, "about 11:38. Wanna stay here for the night? We'll clean up in the morning."

Cross mulled it over before deciding he was too sore and exhausted to do anything else at that moment.

"As long as you actually get up. I don't want to be stained with your cum forever." Cross made a show of gagging exaggeratedly.

"Oh really? Because I remember someone drinking that down like it was your morning coffee."

"Killer, shut the hell up," Cross growled. Killer laughed again, and Cross refused to admit his insides fluttered at the sound. Unlike so many other times, it sounded genuine.

Killer turned to curl up into the bedsheets, tugging them up over his shoulder. He turned to look at Cross and held the blanket up in a silent offer. Cross took it. He ducked under Killer's arm and laid his head on his pillow. Killer's arm draped over him and the two were swaddled in the warmth, safely tucked away.

Killer reached behind him to switch the lamplight off and that was it. At some point, his computer monitors had shut off so now the only light that remained was from Killer's soul.

The red glow painted Killer's face. Cross studied it for a moment, lost in contemplation. His face looked relaxed, no longer sporting the thick streaks of tar. He was breathing languidly, eyed lidded. The small spark of white eyelight was pinned to Cross.

Cross shifted closer until he was flush against Killer. Their soft breaths followed each other in tandem. Before he could regret it, Cross moved to press a chaste kiss to Killer's teeth. Killer's eyes widened, but he sank into it.

Cross reluctantly pulled back, realizing just how tired he was. And when he fell asleep, his dreams were filled with bright smiles and warm embraces.
