Eclipse

Summary:

Caitlyn has been looking forward to the solar eclipse for weeks. But when the day arrives and she looks through her binoculars, she finds someone she never expected to see instead.

Notes:

Welcome, lovely sapphics,

to my first ever CaitVi oneshot!

I'm currently in the middle of a bigger project — my "Movies That Should Have Been Gay" list just keeps growing — but after watching the eclipse on Wednesday through my late father-in-law's binoculars, I couldn't stop thinking that this would so be something Caitlyn would do.

I can totally see her nerding out over an eclipse, getting all excited about the science of it... but what if, instead of the sun, she finds Vi through her binoculars?

Lesbian shenanigans ensue 😉

I also want to use this note to thank Meekzfit for her unwavering support of all my projects!

You are the best cheerleader and motivator. You make me want to keep improving my writing and continue telling these stories about our favorite girls! So thank you, Meekz — this one is for you! 💜

Please enjoy!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Caitlyn Kiramman had planned for the eclipse.

She had checked the predicted path three times, consulted two astronomical charts, compared elevations across Piltover, and spent an embarrassing portion of the previous weeks calculating precisely where they would have the clearest view of the sun as it passed over the fissures.

She had also brought binoculars.

With solar filters.

And a tripod.

Mel stared at the collection of equipment Caitlyn was unpacking from its leather case and slowly lowered her cup of tea.

“You do realise,” she said, “that they handed out glasses downstairs.”

“Yes.”

“For free.”

“I’m aware.”

Jayce picked up one of the small cardboard frames they had been given at the entrance to the observatory gardens and examined it.

“These seem pretty good.”

Caitlyn tightened a screw on the tripod.

“They’re adequate.”

Caitlyn straightened.

“The binoculars provide magnification.”

“I know what binoculars do, Cait.”

“Do you?”

Jayce looked offended.

Mel laughed.

They had claimed a secluded terrace along the eastern edge of Piltover, high enough that the city seemed to spill away beneath them in terraces of pale stone and gleaming glass.

Beyond it, separated by bridges, cliffs, and generations of mutual resentment, Zaun descended into the fissures.

From here, Caitlyn could see almost everything.

Piltover had turned the eclipse into an event, naturally. There were tables laden with champagne and tiny pastries, astronomers giving lectures no one was listening to, children running between adults with their eclipse glasses already crooked on their faces.

Zaun appeared to have taken a somewhat less organised approach.

People were gathering on rooftops.

Bridges.

Balconies.

Fire escapes.

Anywhere with a scrap of visible sky.

Caitlyn smiled despite herself as she adjusted the binoculars.

“What?” Jayce asked.

“Nothing.”

“You smiled.”

“I’m allowed to smile.”

“Not like that.”

Mel had joined him now.

Caitlyn ignored them both and bent to the eyepiece.

The world snapped closer.

She swept slowly across the horizon.

A bridge crowded with people.

A rooftop where someone had apparently dragged an entire sofa outside.

Three children sitting on a rusted ventilation pipe, passing a pair of eclipse glasses between them.

A woman selling something from a cart.

Another rooftop.

A balcony.

A flash of bright blue hair—

Caitlyn stopped.

Adjusted the focus.

The blue-haired woman came sharply into view.

She was leaning over a railing, gesticulating wildly at someone just outside Caitlyn’s field of vision. There was something in her hands. A pair of goggles, perhaps.

She thrust them toward whoever she was speaking to.

Caitlyn moved the binoculars slightly.

And forgot about the eclipse.

The woman beside her was—

Oh.

Caitlyn went very still.

Pink hair.

Strong shoulders beneath a sleeveless black shirt. Tattoos curling over one arm. A scar through one eyebrow. Freckles scattered across her nose and cheeks.

She was laughing.

Even from this distance, Caitlyn could see it in the way her head tipped back, the way her mouth opened, the way her whole body seemed to surrender to it.

Caitlyn adjusted the focus again.

Pink swatted the blue-haired woman’s hand away.

But Blue shoved the glasses at her.

Pink said something Caitlyn obviously couldn’t hear.

Blue flipped her off and Pink laughed again.

Caitlyn’s heart did something deeply inconvenient.

“Anything interesting?”

Caitlyn nearly drove her eye into the binoculars.

Mel was standing beside her.

“No.”

“Mm.”

“I’m checking the visibility over the fissures.”

“Of course.”

Caitlyn shifted the binoculars deliberately toward the sun.

Or tried to.

Somehow, inexplicably, they ended up back on the rooftop.

The pink-haired woman had put the glasses on.

Caitlyn swallowed.

They were ridiculous.

Crooked, oversized things with green lenses and what appeared to be metal welded along the sides.

The woman looked utterly absurd.

She was, Caitlyn decided, possibly the most beautiful person she had ever seen.

“Let me see,” Mel said.

Caitlyn jerked upright.

Mel had leaned down beside her.

“Mel.”

“My apologies.”

“You cannot simply look through someone else’s binoculars.”

“Apparently I can.”

Jayce wandered over.

“What are we looking at?”

“Nothing.”

“A woman,” Mel said.

Caitlyn stared at her.

Jayce brightened.

“Where?”

“There is no woman.”

“There is very much a woman.”

“Mel.”

“Pink hair. Tattoos. Remarkable arms.”

Jayce reached for the binoculars.

Caitlyn slapped his hand away.

“Ow.”

“You have eclipse glasses.”

“So do you!”

Mel was openly smiling now.

Caitlyn hated both of them.

She bent back to the eyepiece.

The woman was gone.

Her stomach dropped.

Ridiculous.

She didn’t know her.

She had never spoken to her.

She had spent perhaps forty seconds watching her from half a city away like some sort of—

There she is!

Caitlyn moved the binoculars.

Found blue hair.

Then Pink.

Something loosened inexplicably inside her chest.

The first sliver of sun was disappearing behind the moon.

But Caitlyn barely noticed.

Twenty-three minutes later, Mel caught her looking again.

Thirty-one minutes later, Jayce did.

At thirty-five, the woman disappeared into the crowd.

At thirty-six, Caitlyn made a decision.

“I’ll be back.”

Jayce lowered his eclipse glasses.

“What?”

“I need to go somewhere.”

Mel looked at her.

Then at Zaun.

Then back at Caitlyn.

Her expression changed.

“Oh, you cannot possibly be serious.”

“I don’t know what you mean.”

“Caitlyn.”

“Please watch the binoculars for me. They're my mother's.”

Jayce stared between them.

“What’s happening?”

Caitlyn was already packing her smaller pair of glasses into her coat.

Mel laughed softly.

“She’s going to Zaun.”

“What?”

“I am simply—”

“To find the woman.”

Jayce’s mouth fell open.

Caitlyn straightened.

“I hate you both.”

“No, you don’t,” Mel said.

Jayce looked delighted.

“You’re going down there because you saw a pretty girl through your binoculars?”

“When you say it like that, it sounds absurd.”

“How else would I say it?”

Caitlyn ignored him.

Mel lifted her champagne glass.

“Good luck.”

Caitlyn turned and hurried away before either of them could say anything else.

By the time the bathysphere reached Zaun, Caitlyn had begun to appreciate the flaws in her plan.

Primarily that she did not actually have one.

The doors opened.

Noise rushed in.

Music. Voices. Laughter.

Zaun was alive.

People packed the streets, faces turned toward the shrinking sun. Children darted between legs wearing homemade glasses. Someone had climbed a lamppost. Music poured from an open window overhead, accompanied by cheers every time another piece of sunlight vanished.

Caitlyn stepped into the crowd.

She had been able to see half of Zaun from Piltover.

Down here, she could barely see ten feet.

Brilliant.

She moved anyway.

Pink hair.

That was what she was looking for.

Pink hair, tattoos, approximately—

Caitlyn stopped herself.

She pushed through another cluster of people.

The light was changing now.

That was what struck her most.

Everything had taken on an eerie, muted quality, shadows sharpening strangely along the ground. The air felt cooler against her skin.

She should have stayed with Mel and Jayce.

She had planned this for weeks.

She had found the perfect observation point.

She had brought equipment.

She had—

A laugh rose above the crowd.

Low.

Raspy.

Warm.

Caitlyn stopped.

“You’re gonna blind me with these things.”

“They’re literally designed to do the opposite, genius.”

“That’s what you said about the last ones.”

“The last ones worked!”

“The last ones set fire to the curtains.”

“They worked before they set fire to the curtains!”

Caitlyn turned.

Blue and Pink.

Her heart stumbled.

They stood beside a rusted railing overlooking one of the lower levels, still arguing.

Up close, the woman was somehow worse.

Or better.

Much, much better.

She was built beautifully. Vibrant and colourful, with strong shoulders and powerful arms that Caitlyn suddenly understood why Mel had specifically mentioned.

Blue held up her pair of strange green-lensed glasses, covered in tiny brass components.

“I improved them.”

“You put spikes on them.”

“They’re decorative.”

“They’re a tetanus infection.”

Caitlyn laughed.

Both women turned.

Two pairs of eyes landed on her.

Caitlyn momentarily forgot every word she had ever learned.

Blue recovered first.

“What?”

Caitlyn looked at the glasses.

Thank the gods.

Something she could talk about.

“Did you make those?”

Suspicion vanished instantly from the woman’s face.

“Yep.”

Caitlyn stepped closer, trying not to think too hard about the pink-haired goddess eyeing her suspiciously.

“The lenses as well?”

“Modified welding glass.” The woman pushed the glasses higher on her nose. “Layered it, treated it, added a filter because apparently burning your retinas is ‘bad’ and ‘we shouldn’t encourage children to do it.’”

Caitlyn smiled.

“That’s ingenious.”

The other woman blinked.

Then beamed.

“I know.”

“You know, you really shouldn’t encourage her,” Pink cut in.

Caitlyn tried very hard not to blush.

“But why not?”

“Calling her ingenious. Her head's going to explode.”

“But she is.”

Blue pointed triumphantly at Pink.

“See?”

Pink merely rolled her eyes.

Caitlyn was staring again.

She knew she was.

She simply seemed incapable of stopping.

Grey eyes met hers.

Held.

And something shifted.

The woman’s brows drew together slightly.

Not hostile, but curious.

Caitlyn remembered herself.

“I’m Caitlyn.”

The woman slowly looked her up and down.

Caitlyn felt every inch of it.

Then one corner of her mouth lifted.

“Nice to meet you, Cupcake.”

Caitlyn blinked.

“I beg your pardon?”

“Ugh, fat hands, stop flirting. My name’s Powder,” Blue supplied.

“Nice to meet you, Powder.”

Caitlyn looked back at Pink.

The woman had the audacity to wink at her.

Caitlyn should have been offended.

Instead, heat crept slowly up her neck.

“And you are?”

“Vi.”

Caitlyn held out her hand.

Vi looked at it.

Then at her.

The world was getting darker around them.

Someone nearby shouted that totality was approaching, and Powder turned away from them.

Vi took her hand.

The instant their palms touched, something went through Caitlyn.

Sharp.

Hot.

Electric.

Her breath caught.

Vi’s did too.

Their eyes snapped together.

For one impossible moment, everything seemed to stand still.

Then Vi pulled her hand back as though Caitlyn had burned her.

Caitlyn stared.

Vi stared back.

“Oh,” Caitlyn whispered.

Vi swallowed.

Powder had already turned toward the sky.

“Holy shit, look at it!”

But neither of them did.

The remaining sunlight narrowed.

The world dimmed and strange shadows stretched across Vi’s face, sharpening her cheekbones, catching silver in her eyes.

And Vi—

Vi was blushing.

A lovely dusty rose beneath her freckles.

Caitlyn’s pulse thudded.

She stepped closer and Vi didn’t move away.

“I have a confession.”

Vi’s gaze dropped briefly to Caitlyn’s mouth.

“Already?”

Caitlyn’s stomach flipped.

“I saw you from Piltover.”

Vi blinked.

“What?”

“I had binoculars.”

That sounded terrible.

Caitlyn closed her eyes briefly.

“Solar binoculars.”

Somehow that sounded worse.

When she opened them again, Vi was fighting a smile.

“You spying on me, Cupcake?”

“No...”

“Sounds a little like spying.”

“I was observing the eclipse.”

“Uh-huh.”

“And then I saw you.”

Vi’s smile faded.

Just slightly.

Caitlyn could hear her own heartbeat.

“And I thought you were beautiful.”

Vi went very still.

“So,” Caitlyn continued, because apparently she had abandoned dignity somewhere on the bathysphere, “I came down here.”

“You came all the way from Piltover?”

“Yes.”

“To find me?”

“...Yes.”

Vi stared at her.

Behind them, the crowd erupted.

The last edge of sunlight vanished.

Darkness fell over Zaun.

Someone screamed delightedly.

Powder shouted something about the corona.

Caitlyn barely heard any of it.

Vi stepped closer.

“You know, you’re not too bad yourself.”

Caitlyn laughed softly.

“An overwhelming compliment.”

“I could do better.”

“Oh?”

Vi’s eyes dropped to her mouth again.

This time, they stayed there.

“Could get outta here,” she murmured. “Make the trip worth your while.”

Caitlyn’s teeth caught her bottom lip.

Vi watched.

Absolutely transfixed.

Interesting.

Caitlyn released it slowly.

“Alright.”

Vi blinked.

“Yeah?”

“Yes.”

A grin spread across Vi’s face.

It was devastating.

She reached for Caitlyn’s hand again.

This time, her fingers moved slowly, giving Caitlyn every opportunity to pull away.

Caitlyn didn’t.

When their palms met, there was no shock, only warmth.

Vi threaded their fingers together and Caitlyn’s heart began beating even harder.

“Powder!”

The younger woman waved vaguely without looking away from the eclipse.

“I’m heading out.”

“Yeah, yeah, have fun making terrible decisions!”

Vi snorted.

“Love you too.”

“Use protection!”

“Powder!”

Caitlyn burst out laughing.

Vi tugged her into the crowd.

“Come on.”

They moved quickly.

Or tried to.

The streets were packed, everyone pressing closer together as darkness swallowed the city.

Vi kept hold of her hand.

At first, Caitlyn assumed it was simply so they wouldn’t lose one another.

Then the crowd narrowed.

Vi moved in front of her.

Caitlyn followed.

Someone pushed past them, and Vi’s body pressed back against hers.

Caitlyn inhaled sharply.

Vi glanced over her shoulder.

Their eyes met again for a brief moment before they kept moving.

Another bottleneck.

Another press of bodies.

Caitlyn’s hand found Vi’s waist instinctively.

Muscle shifted beneath her palm.

Vi’s breath caught.

The crowd moved again.

Neither of them immediately stepped apart.

Caitlyn could smell her now.

Leather.

Soap.

Something faintly metallic.

And beneath it, warm skin.

Gods.

This was insane.

She had never done anything like this.

She had seen a woman through binoculars less than an hour ago and was now following her through Zaun with her pulse pounding between her ears.

Vi turned down a narrower street.

Then another.

The crowds thinned.

The noise faded behind them.

Caitlyn was breathing too quickly.

Finally, Vi pulled her into the mouth of a narrow alley between two brick buildings.

Caitlyn’s back met cool stone.

Vi stopped in front of her.

Close.

But not touching.

Suddenly, the teasing expression was gone.

“You sure?”

Caitlyn looked at her.

At the freckles.

The scar in her top lip.

Those extraordinary eyes.

The faint flush still colouring her cheeks.

“Yes.”

Vi searched her face.

“You don’t even know me.”

“I know.”

“You saw me through binoculars.”

“Yes.”

“Which is still weird, by the way.”

Caitlyn laughed and Vi laughed with her.

But Caitlyn didn't want to wait anymore.

She reached for her.

Her fingers curled lightly into the front of Vi’s shirt.

Vi’s eyes dropped to them.

Caitlyn pulled.

Only slightly.

But it was enough.

Vi leaned in.

Their first kiss was almost absurdly gentle.

A brush of warm lips.

It was careful.

Vi drew back barely an inch and Caitlyn opened her eyes.

Vi was looking at her like she had forgotten what came next.

So Caitlyn kissed her again.

That solved the problem.

Vi made a quiet sound against her mouth, and suddenly the careful distance between them disappeared.

One hand found Caitlyn’s waist.

The other settled against the wall beside her head.

Caitlyn’s fingers slid into short pink hair and Vi kissed her harder.

Caitlyn had expected confidence.

She had not expected softness beneath it.

The tiny hesitation before Vi deepened the kiss.

The way her thumb moved once against Caitlyn’s waist, as though asking permission.

The sharp breath she took when Caitlyn pulled her closer.

Caitlyn answered by kissing her again.

Vi’s body pressed into hers.

There was heat everywhere.

The stone at Caitlyn’s back was cold. The air was unnaturally cool beneath the darkened sun.

But Vi was warm.

So wonderfully warm.

Caitlyn tilted her head, and Vi followed immediately.

Their mouths met again.

And again.

Every kiss less tentative than the last.

Caitlyn’s carefully arranged thoughts dissolved.

There was only Vi’s mouth.

Vi’s hand at her waist.

Vi’s breath catching when Caitlyn’s fingers tightened in her hair.

When they finally broke apart, neither went far.

Vi rested her forehead against Caitlyn’s.

Both of them were breathing hard.

Somewhere beyond the alley, Zaun roared as the first sliver of sunlight began to return.

Vi laughed softly.

Caitlyn felt it against her lips.

“So.”

“So?”

“Still think I’m beautiful?”

Caitlyn opened her eyes.

Vi was flushed again.

Smugness poorly concealing something far more vulnerable.

Caitlyn smiled.

“Oh, considerably more so.”

Vi stared at her for half a second.

Then Caitlyn curled her fingers into the back of Vi’s shirt and pulled her closer.

Whatever restraint had existed between them vanished.

Their mouths moved together hungrily, breathless already, Caitlyn’s hands slipping beneath the hem of Vi’s shirt and spreading over the warm muscle of her back.

Gods, she was beautiful.

The thought seemed particularly ridiculous now, considering Caitlyn currently had her eyes closed and Vi’s tongue in her mouth, but it persisted anyway.

Beautiful through binoculars.

Beautiful beneath the darkened sun.

Beautiful here, pressed between Caitlyn’s thighs while the whole of Zaun celebrated somewhere beyond the mouth of the alley.

Caitlyn broke from her mouth only to kiss along the sharp line of Vi’s jaw.

“Fuck,” Vi breathed.
.
Caitlyn found the sensitive place beneath Vi’s ear and lingered there before letting her teeth catch gently against her skin.

Vi jolted.

Her hips pressed forward on instinct, and Caitlyn inhaled sharply at the sudden friction between them.

For one suspended moment they simply stared at each other.

Then Vi laughed, low and rough and slightly disbelieving.

“Okay.”

Caitlyn’s lips curved.

“What?”

“Yeah. We’re not doing this in an alley.”

Before Caitlyn could ask where they were doing it, Vi caught her hand.

They practically ran.

By the time they reached Vi’s building, Caitlyn had entirely lost track of the eclipse.

The hallway was dim, narrow and mercifully empty. Vi had Caitlyn against her door before she had even managed to retrieve the key from her pocket, kissing her again while Caitlyn laughed helplessly into her mouth.

“You do need to open that.”

“Working on it.”

“You appear to be doing something else.”

“You’re distracting.”

“I’m just standing here.”

“You’re biting my lip.”

Caitlyn did it again.

Vi made a strangled sound and dropped the key.

For one second there was silence.

Then Caitlyn started laughing.

“Oh, shut up, Cupcake.”

“I didn't say anything.”

“You didn't need to.”

Vi retrieved the key, finally managed to get the door open and pulled Caitlyn inside.

The apartment was small.

That was Caitlyn’s first impression before Vi kissed her again and made observation considerably more difficult.

Small, but warm. Lived in. A narrow kitchen, battered furniture, books stacked wherever there was room for them, a jacket thrown over the back of a chair. One bedroom beyond an open doorway.

Then Vi’s hands slipped beneath Caitlyn’s shirt and everything else became substantially less interesting.

Caitlyn gasped into her mouth.

Vi slowed.

Her hands remained against Caitlyn’s waist as she looked at her.

“What do you like?”

The question, asked in that low, rough voice while Caitlyn was already flushed and breathless, sent another rush of heat through her.

Caitlyn let her hands settle on Vi’s hips.

“I can do both.”

Vi’s eyebrow lifted.

“Both?”

“Take charge.” Caitlyn let her gaze travel deliberately over Vi before meeting her eyes again. “Or let someone else lead.”

Something distinctly pleased appeared in Vi’s expression.

“Either works?” she asked.

Caitlyn nodded.

Vi’s mouth curved.

“How about, you let me be in charge then?”

Caitlyn felt her stomach tighten pleasantly.

She leaned closer, brushing her mouth against Vi’s without quite kissing her.

“Can I still reciprocate?”

Vi stared at her for half a second.

Then laughed softly.

“Yeah, Cupcake.”

“Good.”

After that, clothing became an inconvenience neither of them had much patience for.

Buttons, belts and fabric were dealt with between kisses and increasingly unsteady laughter, Vi pausing more than once simply to look at Caitlyn as another piece disappeared.

“You’re staring.”

“So were you.”

“That was different.”

“You watched me through binoculars.”

Caitlyn flushed.

Vi grinned.

Caitlyn pulled her back into a kiss and Vi’s teasing was lost against her mouth.

Somehow they made it to the bedroom.

Vi caught Caitlyn around the waist and Caitlyn gave a startled laugh as her feet briefly left the floor.

“Vi—”

“I got you.”

Caitlyn wrapped herself around her on instinct.

Vi carried her the remaining few steps and lowered her onto the bed with surprising care.

The strange twilight coming through the window painted everything in muted silver, and Caitlyn found herself looking up at a woman she hadn't known existed an hour ago.

Vi looked equally struck by the absurdity of it.

Then her gaze moved slowly down Caitlyn’s body.

“Still sure?”

Caitlyn reached for her.

“Come here.”

And Vi did.

What followed was slower than Caitlyn had expected after the frantic journey upstairs. Vi seemed intent on discovering her rather than rushing, kissing her way down Caitlyn’s body and paying close attention to every reaction she drew from her.

Caitlyn found herself increasingly undone by the contrast: the swagger Vi had worn in the street and this surprising attentiveness now, the way she watched Caitlyn whenever she tried something new, learning her almost embarrassingly quickly.

By the time Vi settled between her thighs, Caitlyn had stopped caring how loudly sounds escaped her.

Vi spread Caitlyn open and lowered her mouth to her.

The first slow stroke of Vi’s tongue had Caitlyn sucking in a breath, her thighs tensing on either side of Vi’s shoulders. Vi glanced up at the reaction before doing it again, more deliberately this time, dragging her tongue through Caitlyn’s wetness before circling her clit in tight, teasing strokes.

“Oh gods,” Caitlyn breathed.

Vi smiled against her and settled more comfortably between Caitlyn’s thighs, one arm curling around her hip to keep her close as her tongue worked over her clit. Caitlyn’s fingers slipped into Vi’s pink hair, initially gentle, until Vi found a rhythm that made them tighten.

“Fingers okay?” Vi murmured against her.

The vibration of her voice made Caitlyn shiver.

“Yes.” Her hips shifted helplessly toward Vi’s mouth. “Please.”

Vi slid one finger inside her, watching Caitlyn’s face as she did. Caitlyn’s lips parted, a soft moan escaping her when Vi began to move it, and Vi gave her another moment before gradually adding a second.

“Fuck, Cupcake.”

Caitlyn laughed breathlessly. “What?”

“You’re so fucking wet.”

Any clever response Caitlyn might have made disappeared when Vi curled her fingers.

Her head dropped back against the mattress.

“There?”

“Yes!”

Vi obliged.

Caitlyn’s thighs tightened around her as Vi found the same spot again and again, fingers moving steadily inside her while her tongue returned to her clit. Pleasure built with startling speed, every stroke seeming to sharpen the next until Caitlyn was no longer capable of doing anything but hold on.

“Vi—”

Vi hummed against her.

That was enough.

Caitlyn came with a broken cry, hips bucking beneath Vi’s arm as the orgasm rolled through her. Vi didn’t stop immediately, easing her through it until Caitlyn’s grip in her hair loosened and she collapsed back against the mattress, chest rising and falling rapidly.

For several seconds, she simply stared at the ceiling.

Then Vi crawled up her body.

The sight of her—pink hair mussed from Caitlyn’s hands, mouth wet, freckles standing out against flushed cheeks—sent another hot little pulse through Caitlyn.

Vi barely had time to grin before Caitlyn caught the back of her neck and pulled her down.

She kissed her deeply, tasting herself on Vi’s tongue.

Vi made a surprised sound into her mouth that quickly became something lower when Caitlyn’s hand slid down her back and pulled their bodies flush together.

When Caitlyn finally let her go, Vi looked considerably less smug.

Caitlyn brushed her thumb over Vi’s lower lip.

“Would you like to sit on my face?”

Vi’s eyebrows shot upward.

For once, Caitlyn appeared to have rendered her speechless.

“You sure?”

“I was never surer of anything.”

Vi stared at her another second before that wonderful raspy laugh escaped her.

“Alright, Cupcake.”

She stripped off the last of her clothes and climbed over Caitlyn, but the swagger returned only briefly. The moment Caitlyn’s hands closed around her thighs and drew her down, Vi’s breath caught.

Caitlyn noticed.

Her mouth curved against Vi before her tongue swept through her.

“Fuck.”

Vi’s hand landed against the headboard.

Caitlyn moaned at the taste of her and did it again, licking slowly through Vi’s wetness before concentrating on her clit.

Vi had not expected this.

That much became obvious very quickly.

She had expected enthusiasm, perhaps. The Piltovan stranger who had crossed half the city after spotting her through binoculars certainly hadn't been shy so far.

Apparently, she had not expected Caitlyn to be good at this.

“Where the fuck did you learn—”

Caitlyn sucked her clit into her mouth.

Vi’s sentence disintegrated into a moan.

A distinctly pleased sound vibrated against her in response.

“Oh, you’re enjoying this way too much.”

Caitlyn’s hands tightened around her thighs.

Oh she was.

Vi began to move against her almost without meaning to, rocking into Caitlyn’s mouth, chasing each sweep of her tongue. Caitlyn followed eagerly, one hand sliding from Vi’s thigh to her ass and pulling her closer.

“Gods, Cupcake.”

Vi seemed unable to let her be the sole focus.

A grin tugged at her mouth and she reached behind herself.

Caitlyn jolted at the first touch.

Her tongue faltered.

Vi laughed breathlessly.

“There you are.”

Caitlyn responded with a particularly vicious flick of her tongue.

Vi’s laugh became a groan.

“Oh, fuck.”

Caitlyn moaned against her again.

Vi slipped her fingers inside Caitlyn and immediately felt her clench around them.

Now it was Caitlyn’s turn to lose her rhythm.

For a few wonderfully messy moments, neither of them seemed capable of deciding who was supposed to be undoing whom.

Vi curled her fingers.

Caitlyn moaned against her clit.

The sensation shot straight through Vi, making her hips jerk.

Caitlyn’s hands tightened around her ass and dragged her down harder.

“Fuck, fuck—”

Vi moved her fingers faster.

Caitlyn retaliated with her tongue.

Soon their earlier teasing disappeared entirely beneath ragged breathing and broken moans. Vi could feel Caitlyn getting close again in the increasingly desperate movement of her hips, in the way she clenched around Vi’s fingers every time they curled inside her.

Then Caitlyn came.

The moan she made was muffled against Vi, her entire body tightening beneath her before trembling through the release. Vi slowed her hand, intending to give Caitlyn a moment to recover.

Caitlyn apparently had other ideas.

Her hands closed firmly around Vi’s thighs.

“Cupcake—”

Caitlyn pulled her back down.

Vi’s eyes widened.

Then Caitlyn’s mouth was on her again.

“Oh, fuck.”

Whatever remained of Vi’s composure vanished.

Her thighs began to shake around Caitlyn’s head, hips moving helplessly against her mouth while Caitlyn held her firmly in place. Vi caught the headboard with one hand, the other burying itself in Caitlyn’s dark hair.

She was already too close.

Caitlyn sucked her clit and Vi broke.

Her whole body went taut above her, a strangled cry tearing from her as the orgasm crashed through her. Caitlyn kept her mouth on her through every shudder, hands gripping Vi’s thighs as they trembled against her.

When Vi finally sagged, Caitlyn loosened her hold.

For a few seconds Vi remained exactly where she was, breathing hard.

Then she looked down.

Caitlyn looked extraordinarily pleased with herself.

Vi could only stare at her.

“You,” she managed, still breathless, “are fucking dangerous.”

Caitlyn’s smile turned unbearably smug.

“And you saw me and thought Cupcake?”

Vi started laughing.

And suddenly Caitlyn had the strange feeling that perhaps neither of them was going to find this quite as easy to dismiss as a one-time encounter under an eclipsed sun.
