MACHINE OVERLOADING! MACHINE OVERLOADING!
Alarms are blaring around one of the labs in Stark Industries. One of the machines that the scientists are testing is malfunctioning and it’s going out of control. The scientists are panicking on how they’re gonna stop the machine before it’ll explode.
“WE NEED TO TURN OFF EVERYTHING IN THE LAB!” One of them yelled.
“WE CAN TRY, BUT NONE OF US HAVE ACCESS FOR THAT. FRIDAY ONLY FOLLOW IT IF IT’S THE HIRE UPS ASKING FOR THAT!” Another yelled.
“WELL CALL MR. HOGAN, FOR FUCK SAKES!”
“F-FINE! FRIDAY CALLED MR. HAROLD HOGAN IN HERE!”
“Affirmative” Friday responded.
Not even 5 minutes later, Happy entered the room. “What’s happening?!” He asked while trying to calm everyone in the room. “The machine that we’ve been working on for the past 6 months is malfunctioning!” The scientist replied. “What is this machine that you've been working on?! He asked. “The one that helps a person to teleport from one place to another! TURN OFF THE MACHINE” They replied. “Okay, FRIDAY, turn of-”
It was too late, the machine exploded. A loud bang burst through Stark Industries. All of the building was shaken by the explosion and multiple windows outside of the room exploded. Everyone in the room was launched into the other side of the room.
Thankfully, no one died. Although, many were injured, especially the ones inside the room where the machine exploded. Most in the room are critically injured in the process.
Happy soon woke up. He was covered with some blood from the explosion and saw the room was dark, except for the machine burning on fire. He noticed everyone in the room survived and he was relieved that they survived. But then, he saw a figure coming out from the flames of the machine.
Someone who isn’t one of the scientists.
Happy then stood up and walked towards the mysterious figure in front of him. “Who are you, and why did you do this?!” He yelled.
“Happy?”
Happy was frozen.
That voice… that voice that he hasn’t heard for 4 years. A person he saw died four years ago. That can’t be possible? Did the machine just bring someone back to life?
“M-May, is that you?” He asked.
“Happy, what happened? Where am I?” It is May. She was shaking so badly.
“You’re in Stark Industries." He responded.
“H-How? How…” She then collapses. Thankfully, Happy catches her before she crashed onto the floor.
“Oh fuck, May don’t go.” Happy cried.
He already saw her dying in his apartment. He cannot let that happen again. He soon carried her and called Friday. “FRIDAY, call the paramedics to come here right now.” “Affirmative.”
Soon, paramedics came and helped aid the injured scientists. May though, Happy refused to let anyone touch May unless it’s Dr. Cho. How can a regular paramedic deal with a person who died four years ago and just got resurrected.
I mean I guess they’ve done it before thanks to the blip but he’s not sure.
The next day, May woke up on a hospital bed. She noticed Happy on a chair sitting beside her and watching TV. “Happy?” “Oh my God, May, are you feeling better?” He asked. “Yes, but my head is aching.” She replied.
“It’s going to be okay, May.” Happy said. “Thank you, Happy. But how am I here? last time I remember, I was lying on the debris of your apartment. How long was I gone?” She asked.
Happy was silent, he didn’t know what to say.
“Happy, how long have I been gone?” She asked.
“Okay May but you need to relax first.” He replied.
“Alright, tell me?”
“…Four years.”
May’s eyes widened. “Y-you’re joking right?” But Happy nodded no. “Happy, this isn’t funny. How long have I really gone?!” She asked again. “May, I’m not joking, it’s been four years since you were gone, see.” Happy replied as he showed his phone to her.
May was shocked to see the date, 2028. It’s been 4 years since she was gone.
“Oh my God, oh my God.” May was panicking.
“May calm dow-” “FOUR YEARS, HAPPY! I WAS GONE FOR FOUR YEARS!” Happy tried to calm her down but it didn’t work.
“May, it’s okay, we’re here for you.” Happy said.
May then remembered about Peter. He must've been so lonely without her. “Okay, how about Peter?” She asked.
Happy looked at her with confusion. “I’m sorry, but who’s Peter?” May looked at him with even more confusion. “Happy for you joking? He’s my nephew.”
“May, I didn’t even know you had a nephew.” He said. May started to get angry at him. “Happy, you’ve met him multiple times. You seen him as Spider-Man”
“May, I don't remember meeting him at all. And also, he’s Spider-Man?”
“Oh my God you're getting too frustrating, this isn’t funny at all.”
“May, I am serious, I don’t know who Peter is.”
“Happy, open your phone for me, please?” She asked and Happy opened the phone.
May searched the photo gallery, she remembered Happy taking photos with her and Peter. But every photo that she remembers that Peter was a part of it, he vanished. She was so confused, she checked every photo and all of them didn't have Peter in it.
She then went to Google to search for Midtown Highschool. Surely there’ll be photos of him with his classmates right? She saw the class that Peter was a part of; there was Mr. Harrington MJ, Ned, Betty, Abe, Cindy, and everyone in the photo.
…Except for Peter.
She searched for Peter’s name on Google but there were no signs of his at all. Not even at FEAST.
May was now completely confused. Why was Peter not in the photos? Why are all the information and documents of his own nephew not there at all? Is it like Peter Parker didn’t exist?
“No… no… NO… PETER, WHERE ARE YOU?!” She cried.
“May it’s oka-”
“NO IT’S NOT OKAY, HAPPY! WHERE IS PETER?!”
“I don’t know.”
“DID YOU LEFT HIM ALONE FOR FOUR YEARS?! WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!” May slapped Happy hard.
“Ouch, May.”
“No No NO! WHY DID YOU LEFT HIM ALONE FOR SO LONG?!”
“May, I have no idea who Peter is.”
“HE’S SPIDER-MAN, YOU LITERALLY SAW HIM WITHOUT HIS MASK!”
“I did see Spider-Man, but not without the mask.”
“ARE YOU FUCKING JOKING WITH ME-” May was completely cut she can Happy were mysteriously frozen in place.
What’s happening?
How’s she brought back from the dead? Why are there no documents or information about Peter, her own nephew? And why is she and Happy just frozen in place?
After what felt forever, they stopped being frozen. They can both move again.
“What just happened-” She then was cut off by the news of the TV.
BREAKING NEWS, SPIDER-MAN IS CRITICALLY INJURED AND IS RUSHED IN TO THE HOSPITAL
“W-what?” May cried.
