They say that out on the open sea, a strange shadow lurks in the water beside Captain Kaeya’s ship, the Sailwind. Never does it follow the ship into port, but there are stories of what that shadow is— a secret weapon, a baby kraken kept captive, some great treasure towed beneath the waves to hide it.
The truth is far simpler, though no less grand. The shadow, who comes and goes as he pleases, avoiding the shore and accompanying them on some voyages, sending them off with a fond farewell on others, is none other than he that holds Kaeya’s heart.
