“Angel?”
“Yes, Cyrus?”
“Just confirming you’re still here.” He mumbled sleepily, an arm groping across the vast expense of their marital bed, before finally discovering Alizeh’s waist and pulling her closer.
The Jinn queen giggled with delight as her husband tugged until she was pressed tightly against him.
“Why were you so far to begin with?”
Alizeh quieted her laughter. “I arose for some water and didn’t wish to wake you with my shuffling.”
She felt, rather than saw her husband’s frown. Cyrus squeezed her to him, and said, “I wouldn’t have minded, angel.”
Alizeh smiled. “I know, sleepy boy.”
