p:G-v.F - Log 683 - Test 1275
“It's 19th of June 1942, to sum up: Project:Glimmer had shown success, yet the results don't satisfy the board of investors, so further experiments are being done on the subject. The final rounds of experiments on modifying the initial nature of Chaos are running. The final goal is morphing the initial purely positive nature to a more dark-leaning one.”
There could be heard muffled screaming and occasional screeching muffled in the background. Orders of "Reduce the dose of tranquilizer for better reaction to 25mg" and "Record Chaos readings and create an ID-sequence" were shouted and picked up by the microphone.
“Balance has not been reached yet, bursts of hyper-negativity - further called Caligonia and declinations thereof - and hyper-positivity - further called Lumosia and declinations thereof - are frequent. The subject with the domination of Glimmer was personalized as a calm pacifist with the goal to make one terminally-ill little girl happy, to put it bluntly and as such the emotionality has been a hindrance to the experiments. The Chaos purity was tied to the emotional stability of Glimmer, introducing negative Chaos to the system has thrown that stability off, the current hypothesis is that the more negative Chaos and negative impressions on the body are introduced during a shorter period of time will pressure the system into accommodating the new nature-”
An explosion accompanied by screams.
More shouted orders. "Negativity rate exponentially increased, protocols to regain control over the power running.”
“Protocols show insufficient: chance of regaining control sinking by the second.”
“Evacuate experiment chamber immediately! Subject is showing heightened aggressive tendencies, fatal attacks are imminent!”
“Ah, the fickle balance between Positive and Negative Chaos has been upset, perhaps a slower rate for a lower dose would have been more appropriate. Different impressions also overwhelmed the system as a whole.”
“Negative energy readings in the subject are sky-rocketing! Caligonia imminent.”
“Shit. Immediate general anesthesia!”
Glimmer trashes through the reinforced room leaving marks and dents on the walls, ceiling and floor, the initially pure white quills became pitch black and pointed upwards instead of downwards. A dark red Miasma surrounded the body and the scleras became glowing red. A blue-ish fog started filtering in and darts shot from the walls, stabbing the subject. It took around 120 seconds for the chemicals to start taking effect. Glimmer ended up passing out completely after 25 minutes.
“No signs of returning to normal state even after reaching unconsciousness, Caligonia State eats too quickly through the tranquilizers, induce medical coma for further tests.”

“24th June 1942, it's been five days since Glimmer’s Caligonification. Since then we've been doing all possible experiments to nullify our previous work - to no avail. Glimmer has been irrevocably turned into a Dark nature, scans and Chaos sequence readings have shown that now 100% of the energy in the subject is Negative in nature. New theory: if the last experiment on Positive-natured Glimmer is reversed the results will also be reversed. Final test will be carried out under general anesthesia.”
“Re-introducing Positive Chaos - observing vitals”
As soon as even the smallest amount of strange Chaos enters the body Caligonic Glimmer wakes up screaming in agony and rage.
“Immediate evacuation! Lumification has shown impossible to achieve.”
“Re-instante medical coma. The incompatibility was probably too strong from the beginning, throw long-term overstimulation and emotional instability into the mix and you get a chronically Caligonic state, cPTSD and adjacent symptoms may be starkly recognizable if a psychic evaluation becomes possible. Final test complete, goal failed. Reevaluating Project:Glimmer and its success.”

“1st July 1942, This is the final log concerning Project:Glimmer. Glimmer as is, cannot continue to function, the goal isn't longer to give hope, but to protect even when that isn't wanted. The final glimmer of hope will be given up, for that a shadow will be instated to protect from the dark where no one wishes to reside. That Project will get its own designation, the subject will be repurposed as is for that matter. The subject will be kept in a stasis chamber until further notice to keep the disastrous emotional instability at bay. Because of this massive failure and how it came to be, everything and all evidence concerning Project:Glimmer will be erased from the planet, no one and nothing shall remain - except for me and Glimmer. The world will never know what it lost the day that greed destroyed hope.”
