Work Text:
“Uika…?” Mutsumi looked up at her girlfriend cupping her cheeks. “Is something wrong?”
The blonde only stared back at her with a serious look on her face. Mutsumi tilted her head curiously, wondering what the heck Uika was thinking.
All of a sudden, she felt her cheeks getting pulled by the very hands that held them so tenderly just moments ago.
“...owwah…” came the green haired girl’s muffled cry of pain.
—
“Betrayal!” Mortis quipped from within their shared headspace. “How utterly vile and evil that blonde woman is…! I’ll give her a piece of my mind, Mutsumi-chan! Let me at ‘em!”
“W-Wait, Mortis—”
—
“Ow… it hurtsh…” Mortis immediately regretted her decision to tap in as the feeling of Uika’s fingers pinching her cheeks suddenly came rushing to her. “Uikaaaaaaaa!” She tried to pout but could only do so much with how stretched her face was at the moment.
“Ah!” Seems like that did the trick! “I’m so sorry!” Uika snapped out of her trance and finally stopped pinching the girl’s cheeks. Much to the smaller guitarist’s delight though, the blonde kept her cold yet comforting hands anchored onto her face.
“Are you okay?” Before Mortis could cuss her girlfriend out, Mutsumi somehow managed to take back control over their shared body, practically suplexing her alter.
—
“Hey! What the heck?!” Mortis huffed from the backseat like a petulant child.
“I got this, Mortis.” Mutsumi said, coolly.
“...If you say so, Mutsumi-chan…”
—
“Mutsumi-chan?” The blonde’s soft voice pulled the green haired girl back from within the depths of her mind. The worried look on her girlfriend’s face reminded Mutsumi of a confused puppy and it tugged at her heartstrings.
“So cute…” She cooed at her (admittedly grown ass) girlfriend.
“I—?!” Uika’s face went from lightly tanned to bright crimson in record time and it only served to make Mutsumi melt further.
She giggled softly at the blonde’s reaction. “What’s so funny?” Uika pouted, faux annoyance in her tone.
“Nothing,” Mutsumi shook her head. “You’re just so cute.”
Uika shrank slightly in embarrassment. “You’re cuter.” She muttered, softly rubbing her thumb against Mutsumi’s rosy cheeks which were made rosier by the comment.
“...is that why you pinched my face?” Mutsumi asked with a teasing smile. She’d been hanging out with Nyamu too much, it seems.
“Guh—!” The blonde looked away before nodding slightly. “I’m sorry, I couldn’t help it… your cheeks reminded me of rice cakes and I just…”
Mutsumi could vividly picture the dropped dog ears on top of her girlfriend’s head and the mental image was almost enough to give her a heart attack.
Thank you for the meal…
Mutsumi could honestly die right then and there in Uika’s arms and she wouldn’t mind at all. Not one bit.
“It’s okay, Uika,” She smiled softly at the taller girl, placing her hand over the one caressing her face. “I was just confused, I didn’t mind it.”
—
“I did!!!”
“Not now, Mortis.”
“Traitor!”
—
“Really…?” The giant dog in front of her had successfully captured her heart yet again with nothing but her big watery eyes… her power is truly astounding.
“Really.” Mutsumi assured as she took the girl’s hand and gently left a kiss on her palm. Uika leaned in closer and…
“Ewwwwwww…” All of a sudden, there was this agitating, grating voice. “I hate gay people,” Nyamu said with a fake gag to sell it.
The couple looked away from each other to glare (as mean of a glare as they could both muster, that is… which isn’t exactly much) at the purple haired girl coming down the stairs alongside their two other band members.
“Nyamu-chan, I don’t really think you can be talking right now…” Uika huffed, glaring pointedly at the interlocked hands of a certain drummer and a certain pianist.
“God forbid a girl wants to hold hands with her bestie.” Nyamu said, rolling her eyes.
Sakiko raised a brow at the drummer, “Are you seriously going to call me a ‘bestie’ when my tongue had been intimately getting to know yours barely 30 minutes ago?”
“I—You—Sakiko, you can’t just tell them that—!” Karmic retribution hit the cat hard, leaving her crimson faced. Snickers could be heard from the rest of the band and if Nyamu had her way, all of them would have exploded by now.
“...I’m getting severe FOMO as all of you are in pairs,” Umiri deadpanned. “Can someone scooch over and let me be their third?”
Silence filled the room before Sakiko cleared her throat and deliberately ignored the bassist. “Places, everyone! Let’s start our rehearsals!”
“...am I muted?”
