A pretty pink princess covered in hearts hummed a little tune to herself as she skipped to her locker. It was officially the end of the school day, which means she was finally free from schoolwork. Ideas were already forming in her head of what she could do for the rest of the day.
When she got to her locker she could see Red was already at her own locker with Luis.
Noticing her sister was distracted, Pink decided in that moment she would go scare her, just a little bit.She walked slowly up behind her and tapped Red's arm.
Red jumped a little too far back losing her balance, luckily Luis caught her with ease.
"Cariño,Are you okay?" Luis asked Red.
"Oops,I'm so sorry Red.I didn't think you would get that scared." Pink rambled worried that she might of hurt her sister.
Distracted by being in Luis's muscular arms. Red completely zone out forgetting to answer either one of them."I'm totally fine guys. I'll meet you back in the dorm Pink, also never try that with Chloe you'll most likely get stabbed or sliced."She responded hazy as she got out of Luis arms to walk away.
"Okay noted, I'll see you later sis!" Pink announced, but her sister was already gone.
Feeling a little awkward, Luis spoke up, "I'm going to go now as well. It's been nice seeing you Pink."
"Bye!!" She waved him off.
Now being by herself she could finally focus on opening her locker. When it was fully opened she saw a card placed over her tea cup. Picking up the card she realized it wasn't a pink playing card, but a tarot card instead. Knowing exactly what to do next, She held the side with the picture to the light revealing a message on the front side of the card."
Max wants to see you at 5pm tonight in a special location, I'll lead you through shadows, -signed F.F.
After reading it, she tucked the card safely away in her purse, and grabbed the rest of her stuff from her locker. Well at least she now she has plans for the rest of the evening, pink though to herself.
On her way back to her room she couldn't help but feel bad for using Felix as a human carrier pigeon. It felt wrong to use a friend like that, but his exact words when he confronted her was;"Princess,You can't hide secrets from shadows.", So for the past couple months he has been keeping her secret safe, and distracting people when she was most likely to get caught. As much as she wanted to deny it, Pink was envious of her sister's relationship. Thoughts of being able to be publicly together with Max as a couple were bubbling to the surface of her mind. Holding hands, maybe kissing a little, or even just being able to cuddle up on him when they were all hanging out, it made her feel warm inside. It's been awhile since they first started to date, maybe now he'll say yes to her.
As soon as she got in the drom her sister greeted her, while laying on her bed on the other side room,"Hey, I need to-." Red stopped mid sentence.
"Hi to you too,I guess."Pink said while laughing a little bit, confused why her sister cut herself off.
"Why so smiley?" Red questioned, Getting off her bed to get closer to Pink's side of the room.
"I don't know what you mean, I'm always smiling." Pink wasn't expecting Red to catch on so soon, Granted it's been four and a half months, but she was hoping her sister wouldn't find out, at least not by accident.
"Yeah you are, but this is different I mean you're practically glowing all sunshiny." Getting even closer to inspect her.
Thinking of a lie, "Mom is sending us homemade tea cakes. Don't tell her I said anything, she wants it to be a surprise for you."Pink hated lying, especially to Red of all people. If anyone deserves to know what's happening in her love life it should be her big sister.
Red was silent for a bit "Okay, I won't tell her you said anything, also I'll be leaving soon to hang with Luis and Chloe until about eight tonight."
Hearing that brighten up her mood. Pink would be able to get ready without anyone thinking she was weird for trying to look as cute as possible, if she was only going on walks by all herself.
At 4:55 she gave herself a once over in the mirror to make sure everything was perfectly in place.
Like clockwork as soon as it hits five, Shadow footprints appeared on the ground below her.
Knowing the routine she simply let them lead her through the corridors, until they got to a hallway, where instead of continuing to go straight down they turned into the wall. To the untrained eye it was just a wall, but she knew it was a passageway to a hidden area made specifically by the Facilier siblings.
Stepping though she came face to face with her nightly tour guide.
"You look lovely tonight." Felix said trying to compliment the princess, while doing a goofy little bow.
"Thank you Felix, I know I tell you this every time you help us arrange these little meetings, but I do really appreciate you."
"It's no problem princess, Oh by the way your boy-toy apparently has something to make you feel extra special tonight."
"I can hear you, You know that right?" Max said walking up to them to make himself known.
"The man of the hour!" Felix remarked, while putting an arm around Max's shoulder.
"Max!" Pink ran over to give him a hug, and whispered to him,"I've missed you baby."
What she said was still loud enough for Felix to hear, Which caused the to room to fill with his laughter as he clutched his stomach.
Max still holding his girlfriend in his arms looked at his friend, "Shut up.You heard nothing."
"I hand delivered your princess safely right to you. I'm allowed to say and hear whatever I want, Baby."
"When I get back to our dormroom, I'm going to make all your stupid cards disappear!" Max threatened.
Felix rolled his eyes,"I would like to you try." Then turning to Pink, "Goodnight Princess, He's all yours." After everything was said and done Felix took his leave.
Pink finally leaving her boyfriend's embrace walking over to the couch,"Soooo, I was told you have a surprise for me." She asked trying to sound flirty.
Matching her energy Max responded, "Maybe I do."
"If you do, may I know?" She pretend to pout.
"Only If you can solve a riddle." He slyly told her.
Her smile got bigger and her eyes lit up.
Being from Wonderland both share a common interest in riddles. Dropping the flirtatious act, "A course I can solve it!" She excitedly clapped.
"I can make people happy, I can make people cry. I can make people want me, and I can drive people mad."
Pink didn't think it was possible to be more in love with Max than she already was."The answer is love!" Pink happily answered.
Max pulled a little pastel yellow bag out of his waist coat, "Correct. As your prize may I present to you, Princess Pink of Wonderland a bag of your favorite tea blend, Which is only made in the teas houses of Wonderland."
Pink froze,"How did you know I was running low?"
"You usually brew at least four cups per day after school using this blend. I noticed you recently only have been brewing two cups per day, So a week ago when I made impromptu visit to Wonderland for some stuff from my dad's workshop, I stopped in the tea houses before I made my way back to the rabbit hole."
Oh my hearts! he's perfect, she thought.
Wanting to see his reaction to something, she spoke up, "Hey Max, I think I have a riddle for you too."
"Okay Pink, go for it." He replied too casual for her liking.
"What occurs once in a minute, twice in a moment and never in one thousand years?"
Max thought for a couple seconds,"I don't know, What is it?"
She smiled and intensely stared at him, Wanting to see every detail of his face when he figured out the answer. "I'll give you a hint, The smartest, most cutest, best of best boyfriends in all of Auradon, and Wonderland has it as his first initial of his first name.
Realizing the answer made Max cover his face in his hands as he mumbled,"It's the letter “M” isn't?"
"Ding, ding, ding!, we have a winner." She cutely congratulated him by moving into his lap.
Still getting use to Pink's spontaneous nature, Max forgot how fucking adorable his girlfriend could be at times, which did lead to him becoming very flushed.
Pink thought looked so cute, she really couldn't help but purposefully make him worse, "And a winner this cute deserves only the best prize." She whispered in his ear before kissing all the part of his face that wasn't covered by his hands.
"Okay, Okay, You win." Seeing his reflection in his pocket watch.,"You turned me into a bright Pink Berryblossom. Are you proud of yourself?"
Going back to her side of the couch looking as innocent as possible,"Very, pink is cute color for you."
Hearing that Max lightly threw a pillow at her.
Pink laughing as she tried to dodge the pillow, "I don't think the term throw pillow was meant to be taken literally."
"You know, I will get you back for this one way or another." Max teased.
"What for?, It's common knowledge that V.K boyfriends are cute when they're all flustered" Pink said booping his nose.
"Yeah I'm sure all the H.Ks would love to see Max Hatter a bushings mess" He replied sarcastically.
"Why not?,I know It's one of my favorite sights." She sweetly spoke.
"You're just sadistic." Max retaliated.
Pink put her arms around his neck, "Baby you're the one everyone considers mad, So what's really the difference?"
Copying her movements,"You make a very convincing point."
Going in for a kiss.They stayed like for a good minute or maybe five before finally pulling apart.
" Um.. speaking of V.ks and H.ks, when do you think we can go public?" Pink asked trying not to damper the mood.
Max's face because suddenly serious.
" I'm sor-"
"Don't apologize. I knew this was going to be brought up eventually. Honestly Pink, I'm scared."
"Wait why?"
"Because when it's public it's not just you and me. It's you, me and everyone else around us. All starring and gossiping about how, 'A naive princess is being taken advantage of by the son the mad man, who try to kidnap said girlfriend's mother.' Which brings me to the other reason, I'm scared to announce anything because of your mom. I know she's tolerates me as one of your friends, but what would happen if she knew her kind-hearted youngest daughter was dating a fucking Hatter of all people!" Max yelled.
"Screw them! Screw everyone!, I don't care what anyone has think or say about us!" She screamed.Tears forming as she got more into her feelings,"If my mom were to be upset by the news of me dating you, I don't care! If anything Red likes you enough to help us with convincing my mother. My mom listens to Red. Don't sell my sister short she has changed a lot since coming to Auradon.
"Pink please claim down. Love, you're starting to cry." Max said softly trying to wipe her tears with a handkerchief.
Wiping her own tears away aggressively. Pink looked at him dead in the eyes,"Maxwell Hatter, I'm in love you."
Gliding his hand threw her hair and Kissing her forehead, "I feel the same as you. Even if I'll never be able to show it publicly. I promise to you I always will be in love with you"
"Madly in love?" Pink asked muffled by Max's shirt.
"Completely, utterly, beautifully madly in love." He responded back. Holding her as close to him as possible.
