Work Text:
It was not a lovers' spat, but absolutely a spat about love.
Hyuna and Mizi would argue about the plan well into the evening, rebellion members hearing and passing them by, used to their frequent spats. It was just as usual for Mizi's yells of frustration to turn into those of pleasure, pressed up against the wall like the fight never happened and they were always this inseparable.
Afterwards, they go to Hyuna's room. She shed her shirt, working on her belt as Mizi watched her, a storm of emotion in her eyes. Pink hair fell over her face, hiding the tears that fell.
"I don't understand you," she whispered. "I really can't understand you."
Hyuna paused. She stepped closer, tilted Mizi's head up by her chin, forcing her to meet her eyes. A quiet moment, as she tucked the stray strand behind her ear.
"Love me anyway."
Mizi pulled her in, and they tangled in the sheets like they never left, time endless in this bliss. None of their worries mattered when they were skin to skin and Mizi could forget the world, just for a few minutes.
Tomorrow, they'd go right back at each other's throats, metaphorically and literally. It was predictable, expected, even. They were two sides of a coin, destined to meet but never agree, different in such ways but together all the same. They'd fight, and yell, and end up in each other's arms all over again. In a lot of ways, they were the only ones who truly knew each other.
And right now, Mizi basked in the feeling of being known, and loved, if not understood.
