Work Text:
Eggchan was fine. Really, he was totally and completely fine. More than fine actually, he was doing great!
Except for the fact that he was in pre-heat, miserable and alone in a nest that felt incomplete while his hindbrain yearned for an alpha that had no interest in him, not in the way he wanted, at least. Which meant he was aching, not only between his legs but also in his heart, not to mention the innumerous discomforts, such as cramps, an annoying headache and the fact his nest only smelled like himself. So, anyway, fine, like he said, even if he wanted to cry and his mind demanded something he couldn't have. After all, Wemmbu and him were best friends and just that, and the alpha had made it clear with each polite but disinterested smile he gave the angel when Eggchan feably tried to court him.
Egg turned away from his balcony, that was few feet away, choosing to face the wall, and curled in even further against himself, wings wrapping tigther in an attempt of comfort.
Wemmbu pressed himself even further against the glass door on Eggchan's balcony, trying to pick up on any noises and get more of the intoxicating scent coming out of the room. His mind was in a conflict of interests: pleased that the curtains were unbudging and the door was secure - that meant no one else could see his omega - but mad that he himself couldn't see inside. Patience wasn't one of his strong suits, but he had plan to not scare his omega away, not before locking him with no way out: a mating bite on the junction of his neck and knotted deep inside him.
Wemmbu was aware he looked like a creep, pressed against a balcony door with a hard on, but he couldn't help himself, just the knowledge that his Eggchan was going into heat and was less than 3 steps away from him were enough. The fact he could hear faint whimpers and the sound of fabric moving around, paired with the faint scent of Egg in pre-heat - his usual scent already addictive in Wemmbu's opnion, sweetened up and made like aphrodisics by his heat pheromones - was only a bonus. Though, he couldn't help but mourn the way everything wasn't enough, wasn't like it would be if he was inside the room, but the back of his brain argued that way was better - he would have his chance later, but that way Eggchan was protected from noisy people and wandering eyes and hands alike.
He vaguelly recalled Eggchan telling him he put filters in the vents and windows, and got airtight seals in his doors, after an incident with an alpha. The guy had harassed Egg and when the angel showed not interested, started following him to his home. Wemmbu, who had also been following Egg, then coincidentally appeared and scared the guy away - Eggchan had thanked and praised him, telling him how he had showed up like a miracle and that he had been the right person at the right time and place. He also recalled, albeit more clearly, how he had beaten the guy up, breaking many bones and giving him enough bruises for a lifetime, only calling an ambulence because Egg would surely be disappointed if he'd killed someone.
The dragon took a deep breath and pushed himself off, with great effort. He didn't want to scare his omega away, and that meant having patience and doing things according to plan.
With a promising whisper of coming back soon, that the angel couldn't hear, Wemmbu opened his wings and quietly left the balcony.
-
Egg couldn't quite remember when he had decided to court Wemmbu, but it had been months ago. Between multiple times he thought of doing so and the times he almost did, he couldn't pin point the one occasion where he decided to go through with it, even so, what he did remember was all of his failed courting attempts, burried by a smile and a "Thanks, bro." that he'd grown to despise hearing.
Angels courting attempts were beautiful and delicated things. They had a peaceful life on the Aether and were powerful enough to deal with any threats themselves, besides the fact that an angel death consited mostly of them losing their memory and starting anew, which meant that shows off of strength and power were considered unecessary and useless, and so, their courtship was vastly different from a lot of species.
To show an interest in an angel was to show proof of dedication, of affection. It mostly consisted of handcrafted items, fine and dainty gold jewelry, baked good that took hours and many attempts, reciting and writing poems for their muse, sending love letters in careful crated pensmanship and handpicked bouquets. Acts that, for species which survival mattered most, were usually seem as frivolous, a waste, pathetic or a mix of those. Even so, it was the only way Egg knew of doing things as he decided the first step he would take would be baking something.
"You can't never go wrong with food" was his thought.
Except you could, apparently.
"Egg, bro? What you doing here?"
Okay, maybe it wasn't his best idea to come to the fighting club Wemmbu worked at, but he was terribly nervous, and if he was pretty sure if didn't stopped thinking and just took a chance, he might give up entirely, once again.
Egg had made a batches of cupcakes - yes, batches. He'd spend the entire weekend baking, obsessing over details and redoing from scratch when he thought they weren't perfect. That's to say, the angel baked the cake bases over and over, trying to pick a flavor, and even when he finally decided - vanilla and dark chocolate, dozen of each - he still had to bake multiple times, burning the first batch as his nerves got the best of him and overmixing the second one, because his hands couldn't stop shaking. By fourth time, he'd given up hope and stared at oven in prayer until he pulled the tray out.
Don't even get him started on the fillings, icings and toppings. It'd been a nightmare, and he nearly cried more times he could count, trying to pick a flavor Wemmbu would enjoy and getting it right had cut his life span by half, plus he know he had enough fillings to open a cakeshop. He'd drove himself insane trying to get right the purple shade of Wemmbu's hair and magenta of the gem on the dragon's jewlery, while his own signature blue became an afterthought. By the time he finished, on Sunday night, Egg settled for simple drizzles and sprinkles.
On Monday morning, driven by the impulse of two sleepless nights and far too much coffee, he went to the club and stopped outside of it. For almost thirty minutes, he'd stood there, just out of the windows range and with the box in hands, rehearsing lines that all sounded wrong.
"I made these for you." Did it sound too foward?
"Oh, these were some leftovers." No, it sounded too dismissive, too casual.
"I've been in love with you for years and the way angels court-" Absolutely not. Eggchan took a deep breath. It's fine, I'm completely fine. I can do this.
He could in fact, not do this.
Eggchan left them at the front desk, mumbling a "Good morning, these are for Wemmbu." because even when fleeing as fast as he could before anyone could question, he still was polite.
Later, the dragon texted him, a simple message that had Egg staring for hours, replaying the words over and over in his head.
Wemm<3:
Bro, thanks for the snacks
U didn't have to
Wait, is it like a special occasion type of things?
Shit, did I forgot?
The angel stared at his phone, and felt a small ache in his chest. It's fine, maybe the other was busy and didn't catch up. And Egg hadn't given it directly to him, so maybe that's why Wemmbu wasn't understanding. Maybe he would understand when Egg gave the second gift, it's okay, Egg understood.
You:
Nah
Just some leftovers bro
Thought you'd like them
What Eggchan didn't know was that Wemmbu had looked at the cupcakes as if they were the most precious gift in the world - and maybe they were, in the way everything Egg ever gifted him was. That the alpha was caught up in eating them or not, wanting to taste, to know how good they were, to appreciate his omega's baking, while not wanting to ruin them, preserving them forever and keeping them there - much like his internal dilema relating to the omega. He wanted Egg, wanted him so badly it drove him insane, and was so parnoid about hurting the angel, of scaring him away.
Even so, it didn't stop his fantasies.
The angel also didn't know, but Wemmbu had spent his evening with his hand down his pants, with the sweet taste of the cupcakes in his mouth, and imagining Egg on his kitchen, wearing nothing but an apron, with a vibrator inside him, his wings tremblinds and hands shaking as Wemmbu turned up the vibrations and, in a deceptively sweet tone, asked him to explain what recipe he was doing.
-
The embroidered handkerchief had been idea number two, sometime between three weeks later, and inspired by an old style movie, that he couldn't care for the name, during one of the nights he feel asleep watching tv.
The angel spent weeks working on it, stitching every moment he had free time - a beautiful pattern taking the shape of a dragon with pointed diamond shapes, resembling Wemmbu's tiara and favorite jewlery. He'd chosen colors that matched Wemmbu, all shades of purple he adorned, be it from his scales or gems, and threads of gold the dragon, to match the dragon's acessories. Egg had even carefully stitched smaller details, things surely no one else would notice, but that he'd spent days agonizing over.
They'd been out, at a coffee shop, with Egg mulling over how to present and give it to Wemmbu, when said hybrid spilled his drink, coffee pooling in a small puddle near the ceramic cup.
"Shit" Wemmbu had said, laughing breathily before reaching out for some napkins and grabbing them. "Don't know what's going on with me today."
"Oh, uhm-" Egg mumbled as he reached in his bag, and the dragon took that time so send a murdeous glare towards the two girls sitting on a table behind Eggchan. One of them, some kind of cat hybrid, had been whispering to her friend while pointing to their table and blushing, and both of them had been gligling as if they were teenagers having a crush for the first time.
When Egg looked at him, however, his expression was back to normal. Or, as normal as it could be with the urge of getting up and teaching those two to not look at his omega. The dragon hybrid looked down at what Eggchan had in his hand, that was stretch out for the alpha to reach.
Eggchan's voice was uncertain when he said "Uh, I made it for you... bro", a reflection, alonside his head wings that were twitching and quickly flapping, that he was nervous.
Wemmbu had taken it, eyes widening at the embroidery. The alpha had been rendered spechless for a moment, mind blanking as a million thoughts ran through his head - and nearly giving Egg a heart attack as each second ticked by, worried Wemmbu didn't like it - before he forced his brain to coperate and actually form words. "You made this?"
Eggchan nodded slowly, looking at his cup of tea as if it was the most interesting thing in the whole world. For a moment, he was sure the dragon understood, with the way his voice was soft.
Wemmbu spoke again, it was back to his almost sarcastic tone, one he used when he didn't want to feel vunerable. "And you made it for me? Awn, Egg, bro, thank you, thank you. I'll keep it on me and use it all the time, bro."
And he did, Egg had seen him carry around and use it for everyday tasks - to wipe sweat from his forehead after training, to clean his phone screen, to dab at the cuts on his knuckles after fighting. Each time, the angel felt a flutter of hope, hope that the other understood what it meant, followed by crushing disappointment when Wemmbu treated it like any other everyday, useful item, not like what it was - a declaration of love.
What Egg didn't know was that Wemmbu slept with it beside his head, atop his pillow, that he'd held up to his nose and inhale, wanting to drown in the angel's scent, until he washed enough times that the scent faded. And that in the first night, the dragon put it right against his nose and wrapped a hand around his cock, imagining that Eggchan was there with him instead.
-
Then, there was attempt number three, which had been poetry.
They were at Egg's apartment, watching some documentary the angel put on more as background noise than anything, and Wemmbu was laying down, head in Eggchan's lap. The dragon had been lazily scrolling through his phone, while Egg had been holding a notebook in his right hand while his left was in the alpha's head, caressing his hair and stroking his horns without thinking.
Egg's mind had been blissfully blank, and calm, made soft and vunerable by the proximity with the alpha and the domesticity of the situation, and with voice as low as a whisper, he started reciting some lines he'd written in his book, lines of poems he wrote with Wemmbu in mind.
He murmured them while his fingers traced the curve of Wemmbu's horns, trying to focus on his book and reading them, because he couldn't possible look at the alpha, least he loses his courage. Said person went quiet for a long moment, and Egg's heart was hammering against his ribs, sure this was it, sure Wemmbu understood and this was finally when-
"That's... that's beautiful, Egg." Wemmbu said, voice going soft and slightly angling his head to look at the other. "Did you write that?'
Egg breathed in deeply, head wing fluttering. "Yes."
"You should publish it." Wemmbu continued, head turning back to his phone, settling back into Egg's lap and the mindless scrolling. "It's really good, you, like, have real talent, bro."
Egg stared down at him, hand freezing in the Wemmbu's hair, feeling his chest crack open and his heart ache, wings drooping imperceptivel as he asked. "You... you think so?"
"Yeah, bro. You could be like, a famous poet or whatever." Wemmbu said, oblivious to the internal tumoil Eggchan had going on. "You're good at this kind of stuff, bro."
Egg had managed to hold it together until Wemmbu left, then he went to his bed, curled up and had his wings tight around himself, cocooning him, and then stayed until he slept, exhausted, confused and upset, certain that either Wemmbu didn't understand and would never do so, or worse: he did understood and had no interest in the omega, was just trying to be polite. Trying to tell Eggchan that they were just best friends, and that's all they ever be, in a way that didn't ruin their friendship.
Meanwhile, the alpha had gone home repeating the words over and over in his head, and wrote them down as soon as he could, whispered and repetead them, wishing they were for him. Wemmbu didn't understand they were for him, but he treasured them anyway, keeping them close to his heart, reading them when he needed to feel close to Egg.
-
The fourth attempt, a pendant and a chain, came a few weeks later. Originally, it was supposed to be a brooch, but while thinking about it, Eggchan decided it to be something more versatile, that could be used as more than one thing, and included the chain so it could be immediatily worn as a necklace.
He spent many days working on it, even some night during in which he couldn't sleep, weaving thin gold wires with careful fingers by the light of desk lamp. It was delicate, a simple pendant of an eye with a pair of wings that could be attatched to a chain and become a necklace or bracelet, or used as a brooch, and he hoped it was a subtle enough reminder of him, but that was still reconizable, that was it could convey his feelings.
They were on the couch at Wemmbu's apartment, a Tuesday evening that involved takeout and developed in the alpha, once again, complaining about how he lost another one of his necklaces during sparring. It was the perfect opportunity, present on a gold platter for Egg, and he pulled a small box from his bag, hands trembling minutely as he clutched it tigther, afraid to let it fall.
"Here" Eggchan said, eloquentely, before shoving the box towards Wemmbu, when said hybrid made no motion to grab the box from Egg's hands. Egg stared fixedly at the coffee table, his face felt hot and his wings were twitching with anxiety. "Since you been talking about losing a necklace, I, uh, thought it would be perfect timing to give you this. And, uhm, it's blessed, protection and stuff."
"Bro." Wemmbu breathed, and for a second, maybe he- "This is sick!" The angel could see Wemmbu's tail wagging, from the corner of his eye. "Did you make this?"
Egg nodded. "Uhm, yeah." Still not looking up, picking at the skin near his fingernails until it bleed.
"You're so talented, bro." Wemmbu said, quickly putting the pendant in the chain and clasping it around his neck. Egg's eyes lifted up, and he watched the dragon do that, the gold settling against skin and scales. He felt faint. "Seriously, this is awesome. Thank you, Egg."
Wemmbu worn every day since. The omega could list all the places and events he saw the alpha wearing it, but it'd be easier to list when he had not. He'd seen the alpha fiddle with it while talking to other people, sometimes even swapping to wear as a bracelet, and while Egg was happy, each time felt like he took damage - Wemmbu wore it like a gift from a friend. Just that, a present from his best friend.
Egg didn't know Wemmbu wore it like a lifeline, fiddling with it when he was anxious, touching when he wanted to go find Egg and have him stay by his side, when the angel got too close to another alpha and he had to physically restrain himself from violence. That he wore even when he jerked off, worrying the pendant between his lips, careful to to scratch it with his teeth, wishing the angel was there, pulling on the necklace to bring his head down to kiss him.
-
The pressed flowers came next - an idea born from the flowers Egg pressed between his books and the decoration he'd seen at a cafe, pressed flowers in a frame, resembling a boquet. Eggchan had then spent weeks carefully picking and choosing them, going to inumerous flower shops in an effort to find the best.
The omega arranged them into a medium frame, just a bit larger than his face. He took care to search for the meaning of each flower, trying to convey a message without words, because words had failed him so many times before. He chose ivy for fidelity and affection, honeysuckle for devoted attachment, violets for faithfulness, and delicate ferns for sincerity.
Egg had spent weeks collecting them, wandering through parks and gardens, picking flowers that made him think of Wemmbu. He pressed them carefully between the pages of heavy books, from old textbooks he didn't need anymore to novels he read a hundred times, anything with pages thick enough to absorb the moisture. He would check them every morning, carefully peeling back the pages to see if they were ready, holding his breath, in case they crumbled.
He brought them to Wemmbu's apartment one Tuesday evening, no special occasion, just a random day that Eggchan had convinced himself was perfect. They were watching some action movie Wemmbu had picked, the dragon sprawled on the couch complaining about how bare his walls looked since he moved in, how he needed to actually decorate but kept forgetting.
"I saw these and thought of you." Eggchan said, his voice barely above a whisper, his wings trembling as he pulled the frame from his bag. "For your walls. Since you said...uh, since they were empty."
Wemmbu took it, his eyes widening as he turned it over in his hands. "Whoa." he breathed, and for a moment Egg's heart soared, sure this was it, sure he finally understood-
"This is... wow, Egg. This is really something."
"I thought you might like it." Egg had mumbled, staring at the floor, his face burning, his head wings flapping nervously. "The ivy means fidelity. And honeysuckle is for... uhm, attachment."
"It's beautiful, bro." Wemmbu said, his voice soft in a way that made Egg's chest ache with hope. He'd hugged Egg tight then, crushing him against his chest, and Egg had breathed in his scent, something uniquely Wemmbu, and wanted to die right there, wanted to melt into the floor and never exist again. "You're such a good friend, always thinking of me. I don't deserve you, you know that?"
Good friend. The words had carved out Egg's heart, left it bleeding on the floor of Wemmbu's apartment. He'd managed to smile, to mumble something about being glad Wemmbu liked it, but inside he was screaming, crying, tearing himself apart with the knowledge that yet another attempt had failed, that Wemmbu would never see him as anything more than a loyal, devoted friend, that he was pathetic and obvious and still somehow invisible.
Wemmbu hung it in his bedroom, where he could see it from his bed, right across from where he laid his head every night. He'd look at it before he slept, tracing the delicate handwriting with his eyes, memorizing the words written alongside the flowers - fidelity, attachment, faithfulness, sincerity - not understanding they were a love letter but knowing they were precious anyway. He'd touch the glass sometimes, his fingers hovering over Egg's penmanship, whispering them to himself like a prayer.
What Egg didn't know was that Wemmbu fell asleep looking at those words every night, wishing they meant what he desperately wanted them to mean, wishing he was worthy of such devotion. That he imagined Eggchan beside him, explaining why he chose each one, while the frame was propped up on his pillow so he could see it, pretending the angel was there with him, that they were sharing a bed, a life, a future built on fidelity and devoted attachment. That he memorized every word, every curve of Egg's handwriting, treasured them like they were written just for him - which they were, but he didn't know that, couldn't let himself believe it.
-
The love letters had been, in Eggchan's own opinion, the worst courting attempt by far.
He spent a month on them, writing and rewriting until his hand cramped and his fingers stained with ink, trying to find the perfect words to make Wemmbu understand. He used his best penmanship, careful and precise, each letter a work of art on cream-colored paper he'd special ordered, the kind that felt expensive beneath his fingertips. He'd written about the way Wemmbu's eyes looked in the morning light, alive and sharp and beautiful, the way his laugh made Egg's chest ache like something was breaking open, the way he wanted to build a life with him, quiet and dedicated and full of devotion, though he didn't sign Wemmbu's name anywhere, too embarrassed to write it and make it real.
He poured everything into those pages: his heart, his soul, his pathetic, embarrassing longing, until there was nothing left of him but ink and paper and hope. And then kept them in his desk drawer, unable to bring himself to mail them, too anxious and embarrassed to actually send them, too terrified of what would happen if he did. They sat there for weeks, a secret hoard of his pathetic longing, growing more embarrassing with each passing day, accusatory every time he opened the drawer to get a pen or some paperclip.
Then Wemmbu found them.
He'd come over to drop off a book he'd borrowed, and Egg had stepped out to use the bathroom, leaving him alone for barely five minutes. When he returned, Wemmbu was standing by the desk, holding one of the letters, his expression unreadable, something dark and tight in his jaw.
"Egg." he said, his voice careful, controlled in a way that made Egg's stomach twist. "You didn't tell me you had an admirer."
Egg had frozen, blood draining from his face, his stomach dropping through the floor like a stone. "What?"
"These letters." Wemmbu held one up, his jaw tight, something dark and unreadable in his eyes, something that looked almost like anger. "They're... passionate. Very passionate. Someone is clearly devoted to you." He paused, his voice going strange, tight and formal. "Do you know who they're from?"
"I- no-" Egg stammered, his face burning, his whole body trembling with humiliation. Wemmbu thought- he thought someone was sending them to Egg. That Egg had a secret admirer, that someone else was writing him love letters, that Egg was the object of someone else's love. The embarrassment was suffocating, like a hand around his throat - he couldn't speak, couldn't explain, his throat closing up with anxiety, his back wings drooping so low they dragged on the floor. "I don't- they're not-"
"You should be careful, Egg." Wemmbu said, his voice tight, controlled, formal in a way that made Egg want to cry. "These are... intense sentiments. Whoever wrote them feels strongly. You should find out who it is. They could become... problematic."
He left shortly after, formal and distant and cold in a way he'd never been before, and Egg had sat on his couch and stared at nothing, until his wings went limp and and his brain became background noise. Wemmbu thought he had an admirer. That someone was in love with him. That Egg was desired by someone else, that these passionate words were meant for him, not from him. The irony would have been funny if it hadn't been so mortifying, so devastating, and so, so completely and utterly humiliating.
What Egg didn't know was that Wemmbu had gone home and punched through a wall, his knuckles bleeding and raw, snarling like an animal. That he sat in his car outside Egg's apartment for three hours, fighting the urge to break down the door and demand to know who was writing such things to his omega, who dared to want what was his, who thought they could have what belonged to him. That he read and reread the letters, memorizing every word, every phrase, jealous and desperate and dying inside, wishing they were from him, wishing Egg would look at him the way the letters described, wishing he was brave enough to write such things himself. That he'd gone to the fighting club after and beaten a punching bag until his hands were bruised and bleeding, imagining it was the face of whoever had dared to love his angel, whoever had made Egg blush and stammer and look so guilty, so caught.
-
Scratch that about the love letters being the worst, the worst part, the part that made the omega want to tear his own heart out, was watching Wemmbu with FlameFrags.
It was sometime after the letters fiasco, when Eggchan had convinced himself to try just one more time. He spent days thinking of what to do, before settling on a bouquet and a box of chocolates, forgoing a card because he planned on personally giving them to Wemmbu and finally confess. He was nervous, yes, but determined to see it through.
He drove to the club with the flowers and candy in the passenger seat, rehearsing how he would present them and what he'd say, even as his hand were sweating and his wings couldn't be still and he felt like his legs would give out with each stop he took between his car and the building. He found Wemmbu in the training ring, though not alone.
Wemmbu and FlameFrags were sparring, and the angel stopped a few feet away, half-hidden behind a pillar, watching his alpha, his Wemmbu- laugh with his whole body as Flame landed a hit on his shoulder. Both were shirtless and sweating, muscles gleaming under the harsh lights. Flame, the demon and tiger hybrid, smirked, strong and confident and everything Wemmbu admired and that Eggchan wasn't-
"Come on Wemmbu." Flame teased, grinning, blindfold conceling the mirth that surely dancing in his eyes. "Don't tell me you're getting soft on me, bro!"
"In your dreams, buddy!" Wemmbu growled, and there was something in his voice that made Egg's stomach twist. It soundes playful, challeging, maybe somewhat even... interested.
They kept fighting, and Egg watched without knowing how much time was passing, frozen there as Wemmbu's eyes tracked Flame's movements with predatory focus, as they grappled and pinned each other, as their tails wrapped around each other, the tiger's one on Wemmbu's arm and the dragon's one on Flame's ankle, and how Flame laughed even further, not pulling away-
Eggchan left the bouquet and chocolate box in the trash on his way out.
He'd gone home, and for the first time in this whole ordeal, let himself cry, wings wrapped tight around himself, now certain that Wemmbu didn't want him.
Of couse the alpha didn't want him. Why would he? Wemmbu always valued strenght, people who could fight, pull their own weights, who could give him the thrill, the adrenaline when sparring, that were strong and capable and confident and nothing like the angel was- Egg couldn't fight, was barely capable of using a bow and wasn't strong. He was weak. A weak and soft omega, who liked fishing and books and couldn't even looke Wemmbu in the eye when handing him gifts.
Egg didn't know that Flame was already dating someone, a bunny hybrid with soft ears and gentle demeanor, or that Wemmbu sparred with Flame to burn off restless, violent energy, worried that he would that he would hurt Eggchan if he didn't, that he would scare the omega away. That the dragon didn't want someone with rough edges or strong, he wanted Egg, soft and weak and the one he loved.
-
The coffee shop was a recomendation of FlameFrags originally, with Wemmbu taking Egg there after a shift at the club the first time. Nowdays, it became routine for the angel to stop and grab a tea or coffee, often after working a shift at the library and wind down, and also to meet up with Wemmbu, considering the fighting gym was only two streets away.
Lomedy, an alpha with soft bunny ears and a gentle demeanor that made him seen harmless who worked there and was Flame's friend, had become one of Egg's own friends, often talking about more mudane hobbies, such as how Lomedy had his own mini farm, growing vegetables for himself and taking care of plants, in general.
The angel was supposed to meet with Wemmbu, thought he got there and the dragon was nowhere to be seen, so he ordered a coffee while he waited for the dragon to arrive. He hadn't noticed Wemmbu looking through the window, too busy talking to Lomedy while the bunny prepared his latte.
"Hey, Egg." Lomedy said, voice soft and ears twitching minusculy as his eyes flicked briefly between the angel and somewhere behind. "You look tired. Having trouble sleeping?" He asked as he handed Egg his coffee.
"Uhm... Yeah, something like that." Eggchan mumbled, face heating up with embarrassment at the attention. "Just busy, with, uh, work."
"You should take care of yourself more." Lomedy said, and his smile was kind and genuinely warm. "You need to rest, you-"
Wemmbu had appeared out of nowhere, at least to Egg who had his back to the door of the shop and couldn't see the death glares he'd been sending Lomedy's way, sliding into the space beside the omega, with his arm wrapping around the angel's waist that looked casual and was anything but.
"Hi Egg. Oh, and hi Lomedy." The dragon's voice was controlled, forced to sound normal, but his eyes were cold, and he was glaring at the bunny. "Didn't expect to see you here."
"I work here." Lomedy pointed out. "You know that. You literally saw me working before, bro. Wasn't it Flame who recommended here because of me working her-"
"Daaalright buddy." Wemmbu said, his hand tightening on Egg's waist. "Me and Egg were just about to leave. Weren't we, Egg?"
"Oh, I-" Egg stammered confused, his face burning with embarrassment once more, and mixed with confused with the suddeness. "Wait, I haven't finished my-"
"See, Lomedy, as I said, we're leaving." Wemmbu repeated, and there was something in his voice and scent that made Eggchan's anxiety spike, but he still let himself be steered out, flushing with humiliation at scene, mind blank enough to be oblivious to Wemmbu's clear possessiveness being something more than out of friendship.
Oblivious to Wemmbu had snarled at the bunny hybrid over his shoulder, the way his lips had shaped "mine" without sound, to the fact the dragon thought Lomedy would be a better match. The other alpha was gentle, kind, someone who wouldn't be too much for Egg, who would treat him nicely, and the thought of someone better had been eating Wemmbu alive for months.
And both of them missed Lomedy's stare, filled with sympathy.
-
The bar had been Flame's idea, some kind of group outing that looked awfully like a double date, all of them squeezed into a booth without the drinks, that they had yet to order.
They were at a place near the gym, all concrete and exposed beams, the kind of place that served beer in mason jars and played music too loud for comfortable conversation. Lomedy had joined them after his shift ended, sliding into the booth next to Flame with easy familiarity, their thighs pressed together, the demon-tiger's tail curling around Lomedy's leg under the table. Egg didn't register any of it. He was too busy trying not to stare at Wemmbu next to him, too busy burning with embarrassment every time he caught himself looking, his wings tucked tight against his back, his fingers picking at the label on his beer bottle.
"You're both idiots." Flame said suddenly, his red eyes gleaming in the dim light, his tail now curling possessively around Lomedy's wrist.
"What?" Wemmbu asked, his voice sharp, his hand tightening around his glass.
"You heard me, bro." Flame took a long drink, smoke curling from his nostrils, his gaze flicking between them with knowing irritation. "You're pining so hard it's painful to watch, bro. And you bro-" he looked directly at Egg, his expression almost pitying, "-keep looking at him like you're dying. Just admit what you both want."
Egg went red, his wings snapping tight against his spine, his stomach churning with anxiety, his heart hammering against his ribs. "I don't- we're just friends-"
"Friends." Flame scoffed, his tail lashing. "Right, bro. And I'm the worst fighter ever."
"Leave them." Lomedy said softly, his ears twitching, leaning into Flame's side with a comfort that spoke of long intimacy. "They'll figure it out."
"They are taking so fucking long, bro." Flame muttered, but he let it drop, turning back to his drink, his hand finding Lomedy's under the table.
Eggchan thought Flame was mocking him. He didn't notice Lomedy leaning into Flame, didn't realize they were together, that the tiger was actually trying to help in his own way - he was too busy drowning in his own humiliation, his face burning, his mind screaming at him to stop being so obvious, so pathetic, so completely transparent.
He also didn't notice that Wemmbu had gone quiet beside him, his tail lashing under the table where no one could see, his hand clenched so tight around his glass his knuckles were white. That he'd wanted so badly to reach out, to touch Egg, to kiss him and claim him right there in front of everyone, mark him with scent and teeth and possession. That he'd been fighting the urge all night, watching Egg's wings tremble, watching his fingers shake around his drink, dying to know what he was thinking, what he was feeling, why he kept looking at Wemmbu with those wide, sad eyes. But he hadn't moved, he'd been too scared.
"I can't scare him. I can't ruin this. I can't lose him." The words were a mantra, repeated over and over in his mind.
-
The subtle possessiveness had been there all along, if Eggchan had known how to read it.
When they walked down the street together, Wemmbu always positioned himself between Egg and other alphas, his wing or tail brushing against Egg's back in a way that looked casual, accidental, but was calculated to mark his scent, to leave traces of himself on Egg's skin. Egg thought he was being friendly, protective, maybe, in his own way, but never noticing the way Wemmbu's eyes tracked any alpha who looked at them for too long, never feeling the tension in the hand that rested on his lower back.
When they went to restaurants, Wemmbu always chose the seat facing the door, his eyes tracking every person who entered, his body tense until he assessed them as non-threats, his jaw tight until he decided they weren't looking at his omega. Egg thought he was just careful and protective by nature, never realizing that every stranger was evaluated as a potential rival, a potential danger, someone who might try to take what was his.
When Egg talked to other people at parties, Wemmbu would find reasons to touch him - adjusting his collar, fixing his hair, handing him a drink - each touch leaving a trace of his scent, a subtle claim that other alphas would read. Egg thought he was being helpful and attentive, never noticing that every touch was a message, a warning: mine, mine, mine-
That he had broken a man's nose at a bar for touching Egg's wing, then smiled like nothing had happened when Egg came back from the bathroom, blood still on his knuckles.
"Just a misunderstanding." Wemmbu had said, wiping blood off his hands, his smile easy and warm. "You okay, Egg?"
Egg had nodded, confused, and Wemmbu had walked him home, tail wrapped possessively around the angel's waist the whole way, marking him, claiming him.
-
Six months ago, Egg had gone on a date.
A beta from his book club, someone safe and gentle, someone who wouldn't overwhelm him, who smiled softly and spoke quietly and reminded him of library corners and rainy afternoons. They'd gone to a small Italian place downtown, candles on the tables, wine that Egg didn't drink because he was nervous, his wings tucked tight against the back of his chair.
Wemmbu had shown up at the restaurant "coincidentally" claiming he was meeting friends, his eyes going dark when he saw the angel at the table with someone else. He sat at the bar and watched the entire date, his eyes never leaving them, his stare deadly enough to make the beta sweat across the room, heavy and aggressive and claiming. The date had ended early, the beta making excuses about not feeling well, his hands shaking as he paid the check, and Eggchan had gone home confused and disappointed, wondering what he'd done wrong.
He hadn't seen Wemmbu that night, pacing his apartment, breaking furniture, snarling that anyone had dared touch what was his, that anyone had dared look at his omega with interest. He hadn't heard Wemmbu whispering Egg's name like a prayer, promising himself that soon, soon, he wouldn't have to hide anymore, that he would claim what was his and never let go.
What Egg didn't know was that Wemmbu had followed them to the restaurant, had been watching from a car across the street, had nearly broken down the door when he saw them holding hands. That he'd sat at that bar vibrating with rage, with possession, with the need to drag Eggchan out of there and never let him go on another date again. That he'd gone home and destroyed his coffee table with his bare hands, imagining it was the beta's face.
-
The bookstore incident had been the worst.
Eggchan had been browsing the poetry section, looking for something to gift Wemmbu that might finally make him understand, when an alpha had approached him. He was polite at first, asking about recommendations, but then he had changed, turned aggressive and hungry, and cornered Egg against the shelves, hand gripping his wing, asking if he wanted to get coffee, if he wanted to go somewhere quieter, if he wanted-
Wemmbu had appeared out of nowhere.
Egg had never seen him like that. His eyes were red, his claws extended, his wings spread wide and blocking out the light. He'd grabbed the other alpha by the throat and slammed him into the bookshelf so hard books had rained down pages fluttering and dust rising around them.
"Don't touch him." Wemmbu had snarled, voice barely human, barely contained, vibrating with violence. "Don't you fucking dare to touch him."
The alpha had been, later, hospitalized. Eggchan never asked what exactly Wemmbu had done afterwards, but he'd seen the blood on Wemmbu's knuckles later, the way his hands shook for hours, the way he kept touching Egg like he couldn't believe he was real, like he needed to reassure himself that he was still there, still whole, still his.
"You showed up like a miracle." Egg had said, thanking him, and Wemmbu had smiled, gentle and warm, and said, "Of course, Egg. I'll always be there."
Egg had thought it was friendship. Just protective, platonic friendship, the way Wemmbu was protective of everyone he cared about.
He didn't know that Wemmbu had followed him to the bookstore, had been watching from the cafe across the street, had seen the alpha corner him and moved before he could even think. He didn't know that the dragon had wanted to kill the guy and only stopped because he couldn't bear for Egg to see him as a monster, as something violent and dangerous and wrong. That he'd gone home shaking, still high on adrenaline of what he had almost done, of how easy it would have been to end that alpha's life for daring to touch what was his.
-
Three weeks before the heat, Egg had officially given up.
He sat on his couch, staring at his phone, Wemmbu's contact pulled up, the screen burning his eyes. He'd typed out a confession "I'm in love with you, I've been courting you for months, I'm sorry, please don't hate me" and his thumb had hovered over the send button for twenty minutes, shaking, sweating, his heart hammering so hard he could feel it in his throat.
Instead, he deleted it. Turned off his phone. Crawled into bed and cried until his wings went limp, until he couldn't breathe, until he fell asleep exhausted and empty and broken.
He couldn't do it anymore. The cakes, the jewelry, the poems, the flowers, the longing looks that Wemmbu never noticed or, worse, pretended not to see. He was exhausted, heart broken and humiliated by his own persistence in the face of such obvious disinterest, such clear rejection. He was pathetic, obvious, embarrassing, and he couldn't do this for even one more day.
He started pulling away after that. Made excuses - 'busy with work', 'not feeling well', 'maybe next time', 'sorry bro.' - watched Wemmbu's texts get increasingly more confused, increasingly more worried, increasingly more desperate, and had felt a bitter satisfaction in it. At least Wemmbu noticed him missing, even if he didn't want him, even if he only cared as a friend.
What he didn't see - he never saw - was Wemmbu after those rejections.
The way the alpha would drive past his apartment three times a night, just to make sure he was safe, that he was alone, that no one else was there. The way he would sit in the parking lot of Eggchan's building for hours, watching his window, memorizing the way his silhouette moved behind the curtains, dying to know what he was doing, why he was pulling away, what he'd done wrong.
-
When he was in pre-heat, three days before the heat hit, Egg had sent a text.
"I'm sick. Don't come over, I think it can be contagious. Please."
He'd spent those three days in misery, waiting for the full heat to hit, alone in his apartment with only his own scent for company, lonely and aching and relieved and devastated all at once. He prepared as best he could: water, blankets, toys he knew wouldn't be enough, that would leave him hollow and unsatisfied. He locked the doors, sealed the windows, told himself he could do this alone, that he didn't need anyone, that he was fine, completely fine.
He didn't know Wemmbu had been outside his balcony each night, pressing against the glass, hard and desperate and barely holding himself back, his scent thick and heavy and desperate. He didn't know the alpha had been slowly unraveling, obsession curdling into something violent and possessive and unstoppable, that he'd been watching the curtains, listening for sounds, dying to break through and claim what was his.
He didn't know that tonight, when the heat finally broke over him like a wave, when Egg collapsed in his nest sobbing and aching and alone, Wemmbu had already decided he wasn't waiting anymore. That he was done being patient, done being careful, done letting Eggchan slip away.
That he was coming to claim his mate, and this time, he wasn't leaving without him.
-
The knock came at 9 PM.
Egg was on the floor, tangled in his nest, sweating through his clothes, his cunt dripping slick onto his thighs in a steady, embarrassing stream. He had been trying to ride out the waves, but they were getting worse, longer and stronger, building like a storm he couldn't possibly weather alone, and he was sobbing into the blankets because he needed- he needed-
Another knock.
"Egg?" Wemmbu's voice, muffled through the door, worried and warm and- so close. "Egg, bro, you in there? I brought you soup. Since you said you were sick."
Egg froze.
No.
No, no, no.
He couldn't- Wemmbu couldn't see him like this, desperate and open and smelling like heat and want, his body betraying every pathetic secret he was trying to hide. He scrambled up, trying to pull himself together, to find clothes, to cover the scent, but his legs wouldn't hold him and he collapsed back into the nest with a whimper that sounded too loud in the quiet room.
"Egg?" The doorknob rattled, Wemmbu's voice sharpening with concern. "I'm coming in, okay? You didn't answer your phone and I'm worried."
"Don't-" Egg tried to call out, but his voice broke, came out as a whine, high and desperate and unmistakably omega in heat.
The lock clicked - Wemmbu had a key, Egg had given it to him two years ago for emergencies - and the door opened.
Wemmbu stood there, a bag in one hand, key in the other, wearing that stupid necklace Egg had made him, the one with the eye and the wings that looked so beautiful against his scales. He looked concerned, handsome, and there, present and real and everything Egg had ever wanted- and then he scented the air, and his expression changed.
His pupils blew wide, black swallowing gold. His nostrils flared, drinking in the scent of heat and need and Eggchan. The bag dropped from his hand, long forgotten, soup spilling across the floor in a spreading pool that neither of them noticed.
"Eggchan." he said, and his voice was different. Lower. Possessive. Hungry in a way that made Egg's stomach clench with fear and arousal. "You're in heat."
"No-" The angel lied, trying to cover himself, to hide the slick dripping down his thighs, the way his wings were spread wide and trembling, the way his body arched toward Wemmbu without his consent. "No, I'm just- sick, yeah- I'm just sick, you, uh, should go-"
Wemmbu stepped inside. Closed the door behind him. Locked it with a 'click' that echoed in Egg's ears like a promise.
"Hey." The dragon said softly, his voice gentling in a way that made Egg want to cry, want to scream, want to beg. "Hey, it's okay. It's just me. I'm not going to hurt you."
He moved slowly, carefully, like Eggchan was a skittish animal, like he was something precious and wild that might bolt. He knelt down at the edge of the nest, not touching, just looking at him with those dark eyes that Egg had dreamed about for years, that he'd memorized in every light, every mood.
"You're burning up." Wemmbu murmured, reaching out to brush Egg's hair back from his forehead. His hand was cool against Egg's fevered skin, and the omega leaned into the touch without meaning to, a whine escaping his throat, his body betraying him completely. "Shh, I've got you. I've got you, Eggy."
"Wemmbu." Egg sobbed, tears streaming down his face, humiliation and need warring in his chest. "I can't- I need-"
"I know." Wemmbu said, his voice soft and coaxing and manipulative, gentle in a way that should have been a warning. "I know what you need. Can I help you? Will you let me help you?"
Egg nodded, desperate, beyond pride or shame, beyond anything but the aching need for this alpha, for his alpha. "Please. Please, I need- you, I need you-"
Wemmbu's breath hitched, his hand trembling where it cupped Eggchan's cheek, his thumb stroking over swollen lips. "Are you sure? We don't have to do anything you don't want. I can just hold you, if you want. I can just-" He paused, his eyes darkening. "I can help you without fucking you, Eggy. I can use my fingers. My mouth. Whatever you need. You don't have to take my cock if you're not ready."
"No!" Egg keened, his body arching up, presenting without his consent, his cunt clenching around nothing, desperate to be filled. "Need you inside. Please, Wemmbu, please-"
"Shh." Wemmbu soothed, his voice dropping lower, dropping into something darker. "Let's start slow, okay? Let me take care of you. Let me make you feel good. We don't need to rush into anything."
He started undressing slowly, carefully, giving Egg time to stop him, time to watch, to want, to ache. He stripped off his shirt, revealing his muscled chest, the purple scales that ran down his sides, the strength that Egg had always admired. Then his pants, revealing his twin cocks- both hard, flushed dark purple, already dripping precome onto the blankets in thick, steady drops. Egg whined at the sight, his cunt clenching harder, slick gushing out of him in a rush that made him want to die of embarrassment.
"Easy." Wemmbu murmured, settling into the nest with Egg, pulling him close, surrounding him with warmth and scent and safety. "Easy, I've got you. Let me take care of you."
He started with his hands, stroking down Egg's sides, his wings, learning the shape of him like he was mapping new territory, exploring it inch by inch. He touched him like he was precious, like he was something to be cherished and protected and owned, and Eggchan sobbed into his shoulder, overwhelmed by the gentleness after so much longing and so much loneliness.
"You're so beautiful." Wemmbu whispered, his mouth finding Egg's neck, pressing soft kisses there, licking at his scent gland, tasting him. "So perfect. I've wanted you for so long, Egg. So long."
"You didn't-" Egg gasped, his hands clutching at Wemmbu's back, his horns, anything he could get his hands on to keep him close. "You didn't want me. I tried- I tried to show you-"
"Shh." Wemmbu soothed, his hands moving lower, finding Egg's cunt, sliding through the slick there and making them both groan, the slick sound obscene and perfect. "I wanted you. Oh Egg, I wanted you so badly I couldn't breathe. I just didn't want to scare you away."
He slipped one finger inside, then two, stretching Egg carefully, his movements slow and deliberate and maddening. Egg keened, his hips bucking up, needing more, needing everything this alpha would give him.
"Wemmbu, alpha, please-"
"I've got you." Wemmbu promised, adding another finger, scissoring them gently, his eyes watching every reaction, learning what made Egg gasp and sob and beg. "Let me make you feel good. Let me take care of you."
When he finally pulled his fingers out, Egg whined at the loss, his hips chasing the sensation, his body empty and aching and desperate.
"Shh." Wemmbu murmured, settling between Egg's thighs, his breath hot against Egg's oversensitive skin. "Let me taste you. Let me make you feel good."
He lowered his head, his tongue finding Eggchan's cunt, licking through the slick with long, slow strokes that made the omega scream and clutch at his horns, grinding down, back arching off the nest. The dragon ate him out like he was starving, like he'd been dreaming of this for years, his tongue fucking into Egg's hole, his nose rubbing against Eggchan's clit, making him sob and writhe and beg for more, always more.
"Alpha, please- " Egg begged, his voice broken, his mind hazy with heat and pleasure and the overwhelming rightness of this, of his alpha being there. "Please, I need more, I need-"
"Tell me what you need." Wemmbu murmured against his thigh, his breath hot, his voice wrecked. "Tell me what you want, Eggy."
"Need you." Egg sobbed. "Need your cock. Please, Wemm, please fuck me-"
Wemmbu paused, looking up at him with dark, hungry eyes, his control visibly cracking, his hands shaking where they gripped Egg's thighs. "Are you sure? I don't want to hurt you. I can keep using my mouth, my fingers. I can make you come like this, over and over. You don't need to take my cock."
"I do- Please, I do-" Egg keened, his body arching up, presenting his cunt, his ass, everything, offering it all to this alpha who had always owned him, even when he didn't know it. "Please, I need you inside. Please please please alpha, please fuck me-"
Wemmbu made a sound like he was dying, like Egg's words had destroyed him completely, his control shattering. Still, he moved slowly, carefully, positioning himself between Egg's thighs, lining up his lower cock with Egg's entrance, pressing in slowly, inch by inch, giving Egg time to adjust to the stretch, to the burning fullness, to the reality of finally, finally having what he'd wanted for so long.
"I've got you." he murmured, bottoming out with a groan, his hips flush against Egg's ass, staying there, letting Egg breathe, letting him feel. "I've got you, Eggy. I'm here."
Then he started moving, slow and deep, his hips rolling in a way that hit every sensitive spot inside Egg, making him see stars, making him sob with the overwhelming sensation of being filled, being claimed, being his.
"Okay?" he asked, his voice rough, his whole body shaking with the effort of holding back, of being gentle when he clearly wanted to ravage.
"Yes-" Egg sobbed, his legs wrapping around Wemmbu's waist, pulling him closer, deeper. "Yes, please, more-"
Wemmbu started slow, thrusting deep and steady, his hips rolling in a way that made Eggchan see stars, made him lose his mind completely. He kept one hand between them, stroking Egg's clit, his belly, and anywhere he could reach, really, murmuring praise and devotion into his ear like prayers.
"So good for me." he whispered. "So perfect. Taking me so well, Eggy. You feel amazing."
Egg was lost in it, in the gentleness, the care, the love he could feel in every touch, every word. He was babbling, incoherent, his mind hazy with heat and pleasure and the overwhelming realization that this was happening, that Wemmbu was inside him, that he was finally, finally his.
"I made you things" The angel found himself saying, his voice slurred, distant, his filter completely gone in the haze of heat and pleasure. "The cakes-ngh- uh, necklace, ah- poems. The flowers. I made them for you. Wemm, alpha- I was courting you. I love you- nhg- ah please- I love you so much-"
Wemmbu froze. His whole body went rigid above Egg, his thrusts stuttering to a halt, his breath catching in his throat.
"What?" he breathed, his eyes wide, searching Egg's face like he was looking for a lie, for a trick, for anything but the truth.
"I was courting you." Egg whined, tears streaming down his face, his mind too far gone to filter himself even as he grinded down, trying to get friction as Wemmbu had stopped. "Angels court with uh, ngh- pretty things. With, uh, ah- food and poems and jewelry. I made you everything. I- ah- love you. I love you, I love you-"
Wemmbu stared at him, something cracking in his expression, something wild and desperate and manic breaking through the careful gentleness, the restraint he'd been holding onto for months, for years.
"The cakes. " he said slowly, his voice changing, dropping into something darker, something possessive and hungry and completely uncontrolled. "The necklace, poems- fuck, the flowers, the letters. Those were all- all you courting me?"
Egg nodded, sobbing now, his body clenching around Wemmbu's cock, desperate for him to move again, to keep going, to never stop. "You didn't want me. You didn't want me. You never-"
Wemmbu laughed, and it was a broken, manic sound, a sound of relief and desperation and years of wasted longing. "I didn't understand? Fuck, Eggchan, I thought- I didn't think they- didn't they were courting gifts. I thought the letters were from someone else- Some secret admirer, and I was so fucking jealous I couldn't see straight. I wished they were from you. I wished with everything I had that you had written those letters, that you had made that necklace for me as more than just a friend." He shook his head, his grip tightening on Egg's hips, his thrusts resuming with a new urgency, a new desperation, a new madness. "I was so scared of scaring you. I didn't court you because I thought you'd run. I thought you didn't want me. I thought you wanted someone gentle, someone soft. Not-"
He snapped his hips forward, hard, making Egg scream, his knot starting to swell at the base of his cock, thick and heavy and locking him inside.
"Not someone who wants to lock you away and keep you forever." Wemmbu growled, his teeth grazing Eggchan's neck, sharp and claiming. "Not someone who follows you home every night, someone who breaks bones for touching you. Fuck, not someone who jerks off thinking about you wearing my mark, carrying my pups, being mine in every way."
"Wemmbu-" Egg gasped, his eyes wide, but his body was responding, his cunt clenching harder, slick gushing around Wemmbu's cock, his body knowing what it wanted even if his mind was reeling.
"You want to know why I didn't understand you were courting me?" Wemmbu snarled, his hips snapping forward, driving Egg up against the wall of the nest, the force of it brutal, perfect, exactly what Egg needed. "Because dragons don't court like that. Dragons give gold and jewels and fight and I wanted to bury you in treasure, wrestle you to the ground, prove I could protect you. But I was scared. I was so scared you'd see what I really am and you'd run."
He reached down, grabbing Egg's thigh and pulling it higher, changing the angle so he was hitting deeper, making the omega see stars, making him scream.
"But you were courting me," Wemmbu laughed, the sound wild and possessive and completely unhinged. "All this time. All those pretty things. You were telling me you loved me, and I was too fucking blind to see it."
"Wemmbu, Wemm, please-" Egg sobbed, his mind reeling, his body overwhelmed, his heart bursting open with hope and love and the desperate need for more.
"You want me to court you now, Eggchan?" Wemmbu growled, his thrusts becoming brutal, punishing, his knot swelling larger with every stroke, catching on Egg's rim, tugging at him, claiming him. "You want to see how a dragon claims his mate?"
He pulled out suddenly, making Egg whine at the loss, the emptiness, and flipped him over onto his stomach. He pulled Egg's hips up, presenting his cunt and his ass, dripping and open and ready, both his, his.
"Going to fill both your holes, darling." Wemmbu snarled, his fingers finding Egg's ass, slicking them with the omega's slick and pushing inside to stretch him, prepare him for the second cock, the claiming that would bind them forever. "Going to stuff you full of me until you can't remember anyone else's name. Until you can't walk, can't think, can't do anything but feel me inside you."
"Yes, yes- " Egg begged, his face pressed into the blankets, his wings trembling, his whole body shaking with need. "Yes, please, alpha, please-"
Wemmbu thrust into his cunt again, his upper cock finding Egg's ass, pushing in slowly, carefully, until he was buried in both holes, both knots swelling, locking him inside, keeping him there, keeping him his. Egg screamed, the stretch burning so good he saw stars, his back arching off the bed, his body completely full, completely claimed. Wemmbu didn't stop nor slow, just rutted into Egg with abandon, with madness, with years of pent up obsession finally unleashed.
"Can't- can't escape-" Wemmbu panted, his hips snapping forward, driving Egg up the bed, the knots catching on his rims with every thrust, tugging at his insides, making him sob with pleasure, with the overwhelming rightness of being claimed, being owned, being loved. "Can't- never- you're mine, Eggchan, mine, mine-"
"Yours!" Egg babbled, his hands clutching at the blankets, tears streaming down his face, his body milking Wemmbu's cocks desperately. "Wemm, please, please-"
"I'll always find you." Wemmbu growled, his teeth finding the junction of Egg's neck and shoulder, biting down hard enough to draw blood, to mark him, claim him permanently, a mating bite that would last forever. "Always. You can run, you can hide, you can lock every door and window- Hell, I'll break them all. I'll tear down walls. I'll follow you across the country, across the world. You're mine, Eggchan. My omega. My mate. Mine."
He came with a roar, spilling inside Egg, filling him with hot seed from both cocks, the knots locking them together, swelling huge and thick inside both of Egg's holes, keeping him plugged, keeping him full, keeping him his. The angel came untouched, his cunt and ass milking Wemmbu's cocks desperately, his vision whiting out as pleasure crashed through him in waves, as he finally, finally felt complete.
Wemmbu collapsed on top of him, still rutting weakly through his orgasm, his knots pulsing, keeping them tied, keeping them connected. He licked at the claiming bite on Egg's neck, purring, his hands stroking down Egg's sides with possessive reverence, with devotion, with love.
"Mine." he whispered, over and over, even as Egg drifted into sleep, safe and claimed and finally, finally with his alpha . "Mine, mine, mine. Can't escape. I'll always find you. Always."
Egg smiled, his wings wrapping around them both, and whispered back "You better."
Because he never wanted to escape. Not from this. Not from his alpha, his Wemmbu.
