Work Text:
"Anything you want, Kyoya," Tamaki heaved, his chest rising and falling with every breath. ‘Anything you want, I’d give it to you. You just need to ask.’
"Tamaki…" Kyoya murmured breathlessly. He gazed up at Tamaki, his hands shaking as he clutched his shirt, which wrinkled under his tight grasp.
"Kyoya-"
"Give me a second-"
"Kyoya…"
"I said give me a second, goddamnit…" Kyoya huffed at Tamaki’s begging and couldn’t help but gaze up at his puppy eyes – God, the things those do to him. Kyoya could feel something warm curl in his stomach and travel up to his face, painting his cheeks in a rosy blush.
All of this was too much for him. He was supposed to be Kyoya, the Shadow King, the Third Ootori Son, the Cold, Unshakable One. Yet, he was here, caged in by his best friend’s arms and trapped under his scrutinising gaze. Tamaki’s eyes seemed to pick Kyoya apart, pushing back all the masks and covers just to see Kyoya. His Kyoya.
"Are you okay?" Tamaki whispered, leaning in until his face was an inch away from Kyoya’s, their breaths ghosting each other’s lips like a promise of a kiss. Kyoya’s own were red and swollen from all the biting both inflicted on them. Tamaki searched Kyoya’s eyes, desperate to find approval to carry on.
"Yes…" Kyoya sighed, "I’m fine. I’m just not used to this-"
"You’re not used to affection," Tamaki concluded for him. "You’re not used to anyone giving you this much attention. I’ll give it to – I want to give it to, Kyoya." Tamaki’s view dropped down and finally connected their mouths together, running his tongue across Kyoya’s bottom lip to ask for entry. Kyoya gasped, and Tamaki immediately filled the space, exploring Kyoya’s mouth. He kissed him with so much fervour akin to that of a starving man, biting and licking and craving more, more, more.
Kyoya pulled away, cocking his head away from Tamaki’s. Tamaki whimpered lightly from the loss of contact, and his hand rose from Kyoya’s hips to his jaw, tracing over the soft expanse of his cheek. Everything about his body language screamed ‘look at me, touch me, love me’ in the desperate Tamaki way.
"I’m glad I’m the only one seeing you like this," Tamaki said in a hushed tone, his eyes sparkling. He and Kyoya were so close he could practically count every individual lash on Kyoya’s eyes, notice the point where his iris blended from practically black to a misty grey and the pure want behind all the fronts he puts up.
"You’re the only one who’d bother to see anything more," Kyoya murmured, his gaze still off of Tamaki’s – something that Tamaki has grown to absolutely hate. Kyoya’s gaze should always be on him. He knows he won’t always be able to be the centre of Kyoya’s attention, but at least he deserved it now. He worked hard to get Kyoya to open up, to get Kyoya to try, to get him to dream. Kyoya deserved to have everything, and Tamaki was anything but ready to yield and let him take, goddamnit.
"Won’t you look at me?" Tamaki questioned softly, his sight still locked on Kyoya, and knowing Kyoya, he wouldn’t deny Tamaki anything. Kyoya’s eyes flickered back up, finally looking back at Tamaki, and Tamaki couldn’t help but let a grin split his face.
"What are you smiling about now?" Kyoya snorted fondly, raising his arms to hang loosely on Tamaki’s shoulders and drawing him in. "I’m happy to be with you, that’s all." Tamaki responded, dropping his head to nuzzle Kyoya’s shoulder. It was like it was made for him, like they had been destined to be together from the start – like the Sun and Moon.
"Get off me, you big oaf. I have work to do," Kyoya grunted as he sat up, guiding Tamaki off him. Tamaki’s smile dropped. Was Kyoya really going to work again after everything he just told him? At least he thought they were going to cuddle, wrapped in each other’s arms and bathing in their shared body heat. Now he’d have to share his Kyoya’s attention with a metal device and a notebook.
"Why do you have to work now?" Tamaki whined, slithering his hand back onto Kyoya’s waist and pressing into him. ‘You’ve barely taken the break I begged you for!’
"That’s because you’ve been climbing all over me, idiot."
"But still!" Tamaki complained. "The financing isn’t going anywhere! Our profits aren’t going to magically drop because you spent time making out with your boyfriend." Tamaki pouted, his lower lip jutting out childishly in a way that could only make Kyoya want to kiss it off him.
"You’re not disappearing either, are you?"
"I might!"
"No, you wouldn’t."
"You’re right, I wouldn’t."
Kyoya giggled lightly, and Tamaki basked in the beautiful sound. Tamaki didn’t relent, because if there’s one thing about him, he’s determined (correction: stubborn). He leaned in even more, looking at Kyoya expectantly. Kyoya couldn’t help but sigh and plop back down onto the expensive sheets, his hair fanning out around his head like a halo.
"Just this once." He stated. A lie, of course. If Tamaki asked again, he couldn’t say no. Tamaki smiled giddily and dropped down onto Kyoya, eliciting a grunt from the boy below, but they couldn’t help but break into laughter. Everything was perfect, just like Tamaki dreamt it would be.
