Summary:

Izuku is a dumb dumb and gets pinned between two buildings

Whumptober Day 4: Pinned | Shipwreck | Staying Behind | "Where would you rather die?"

Work Text:

“Stay still, Midoriya.” Called the voice of one of his teachers. “The more you move, the more stuck you’re going to get.”

Izuku sighed and settled down. He was pinned in between two buildings because he tripped while trying to do some parkour and the alley between this particular two buildings was small.

Small enough that most of his adult teachers couldn’t get in far enough to yank him out.

Currently, they were jerry rigging something above him that will come down, go under his arms and pull him up like a life saver in water.

“How much longer do you think?” Izuku called up, tilting his head back to lean it against the wall. It had been about an hour at that point and Izuku’s legs were starting to hurt from just dangling.

At least there wasn’t much pressure on him. Wearing his hero costume for practical heroics today saved him from the imminent sprained or broken ankle from landing on the ground, but it did not save him from the embarrassment of his classmates staring at him dangling between two buildings.

“Just a few more minutes, kid. We’ve almost got it set up.” Aizawa said, leaning over the edge to check on Izuku. “How you feeling?”

“Ready to get out of here,” Izuku grumbled light heartedly before giving a real answer, “One of my legs is going numb, but I’m find otherwise.”

Aizawa hummed in acknowledgement before he was pulled away from the ledge by another teacher. They were ready, Izuku was going to get unpinned.

Lowering the life saver like object, Izuku got it wrapped around him under his arms while being careful to not move too much so he didn’t get more stuck before they started to slowly lift him up.

He hissed lightly as blood flowed back into an area he didn’t even realize went numb where his utility belt sat on his waist.

They paused, hearing it. “You good, kid?” Aizawa asked.

“Yeah,” Izuku said, explaining what happened real quick and getting a nod from the teacher in question.

It only took a few minutes and Izuku was back on the roof, the boy flopping onto his back and letting the blood return to where it was supposed to be, the pins and needles being annoying.

“Be more careful, will you?” Aizawa chastised, but there was no heat behind it.

“Yeah,. yeah, I will.” The boy muttered, letting out a small sigh of relief.
