6. Held Down, Riding Crops, Feeding/Stuffing
It was unconscionable. Laios and Marcille were fine young folk, Senshi was sure. But they were desperate, and desperation drove people to unscrupulous ends. Ends such as taking advantage of a naive young boy and using him as their trap magnet.
Chilchuck seemed to be doing fine, with his little tools, and he'd just returned from claiming he had disarmed the traps down the hallway. Senshi knew, though, that boys were prone to mistakes, and inexperienced young lads would eventually mess up. And in such a dangerous profession like dungeon delving, mistakes could be costly.
He'd stayed silent about it in front of Laios and Marcille, not wanting to rock the boat too much, but he knew he'd have to find the chance to talk to the lad by himself, convince him to take better care of himself. Much better care of himself, Senshi thought, looking the boy up and down again as he spoke to Laios. The boy was scrawny — all bones and no meat. It was a good thing they'd run into Senshi since they clearly didn't have enough food and were starving him.
That was it, he decided. He'd make some food, come up with an excuse to send Laios and Marcille away, and then have a good heart-to-heart with the lad.
Senshi watched the food cook. It was a good thing they'd managed to extract some oil from the mandrakes earlier, so he was using it to deep fry some Scotch eggs. Chilchuck was sitting by himself off to the side, doing maintenance on his tools.
Senshi had managed to send the other two off just earlier, claiming to need this and that other seasoning. Marcille had seemed almost happy to head off.
He knew this was the time to speak to the boy, so he plated the Scotch eggs, took the pot off the fire, and started moving towards Chilchuck. The Scotch eggs were made from Cockatrice eggs, bigger than regular ones with a rich and gooey yolk. Wrapped around them was basilisk ham, highly flavorful with a gameyness to them, that was complemented by the mandrake leaf flakes, adding a herbaceous crunch. All in all, a protein-dense food that was just what a scrawny kid needed to grow.
"Here lad, you should eat up," Senshi said, placing the plate on a rock near him.
Chilchuck made a strange face at the food, and seemed to hesitate. "Uh… thanks, but I'm not really that hungry."
Senshi frowned. That was hardly ideal for a growing boy. This might be worse than he thought. "Do you not have the appetite?"
"No! I mean— yes. But not because of your cooking, I mean." Chilchuck paused. "It's just that knowing what the food is made of makes it harder to swallow. I'll be fine."
Senshi thought about this for awhile. "You know, it's not good to be picky about your food, son."
"I… wha? It's not about being picky. And don't call me 'son'."
"Hmm… it's fine to take your time with growing up, there's no need to rush into being an adult. But you still need to eat to be healthy."
"Huh? Whatever. I'm telling you I'll eat it later, alright?" Chilchuck had his hackles up now, and was making to move away.
Perhaps Senshi had misjudged Laios and Marcille. Perhaps they weren't undernourishing Chilchuck, but instead had on their hands a stubborn picky eater, with no idea how to give him the proper guidance. They were still just young adults after all. He stroked his beard in contemplation. He thought back to the band of miners he'd been with since he was but a lad, and how he had learned a trick or two firsthand, for keeping unruly boys in check. It looked like this would be his responsibility now too, as the adult of the group.
He moved back to his backpack, away from Chilchuck who was pointedly trying to ignore him now. There was something in here he could use… there. He had a single remaining long and dried Mandrake root that was well-matured. He'd thought to find some culinary use for it, but this would be a good cause too. To it, he could then adhere the piece of softened Giant Scorpion carapace, for a flat surface, to act as a flap. He swung the improvised implement around a little to test it, and it held well. Certainly, it was also bound to make a loud impact on its target. Now Senshi just had to follow through.
"Chilchuck," he called out, moving back towards the boy.
"Yeah, hey, Senshi," he said, awkwardly, without turning back, "Look, there's no need to nag. I can take care of myself, I'm a full—"
"You said before that your old man passed away, didn't you?" Senshi decided to cut to the chase, since Chilchuck didn't seem apologetic yet.
"—Y…yeah?"
"It's tragic," Senshi nodded, "but I suppose that explains the lack of discipline in your life. It doesn't please me, but I'll have to be the one to give you the proper correction."
"What—" Chilchuck finally turned around, stunned. "What the hell are you talking—" his eyes took in the implement in Senshi's hand. "What is that?"
Since he was still caught off-guard, it was easy for Senshi to flip Chilchuck onto his stomach, onto a second rock next to the plate of eggs.
"Waugh! Hey!" The lad flailed around a bit, ineffectively. Senshi bit back a sigh. This was just further showing why he needed his protein. The boy barely had any strength to him.
"Stop struggling lad. Whether you like it or not, this is for your own good." Senshi had folded Chilchuck's arms into the small of his back now, using his body weight to keep the boy pinned.
"Are you crazy?! Of course I'm going to struggle, what the hell do you think—"
WHAP!
Senshi had swung the implement into the boy's behind, and that had seemed to get his attention.
"Did… did you just hit me with that crazy riding crop?" Chilchuck asked, bewildered.
"Just to get your focus, lad. Proper ones would be done on your bare behind."
"You are crazy! Get off me, I'm—"
WHAP! WHAP! WHAP!
"Ow! Owow!" Chilchuck cried out. The boy had clearly never been properly spanked before, with this kind of reaction even with pants protecting him.
"Now, are you going to listen, lad?" Senshi asked.
"Damnit, okay! I'm listening, you crazy dwarf!"
"I know what it's like as a young lad, trying to keep up your bravado, but boys like you need to learn proper respect for those with more experience than you. It really won't do for growing lads to not eat their meals." Senshi reached for the plate of Scotch eggs as he lectured Chilchuck.
"Is this still about the food? Come on, man, you don't need to treat me like a kid, I'm already— mmmph!"
Senshi had pushed a Cockatrice egg to Chilchuck's mouth. "Now, eat."
Chilchuck continued to struggle a little, but Senshi could eventually push the egg into his mouth. The egg was a little big, so it was probably filling his mouth entirely, but Senshi wasn't too worried about that. Boys could handle their mouths being stuffed once their appetite was whetted. That was how it always worked.
"Good. Now, you're still going to have to take your spanking, so let's carry on," Senshi informed him, pulling the lad's pants down with his now free hand.
"Mmmmgh?!" Chilchuck exclaimed, still trying to work through the gooey egg.
"I'm going to give you five good ones to start with, and we'll figure it out from there, okay?" Senshi said, grabbing the riding crop again.
"Nnmm! Nfff!"
WHAP! WHAP!
Senshi checked his technique as the boy stiffened beneath him, making more noises. He'd not had much opportunity to actually use a crop in all the time he'd been alone, so it was good to get back into the rhythm. He seemed to have spaced the hits evenly on Chilchuck's bare bottom, so, satisfied, he continued.
WHAP! WHAP! WHAP!
"Bwegh. Bleh. Stoph!" Chilchuck said, and Senshi checked on him.
And was disappointed to see that he'd spat the egg out, now a wasted mess on the dungeon floor.
Senshi sighed. "Chilchuck. You have to respect the dungeon's ecosystem. Life was given to make that food, and to waste it like this is hugely disrespectful."
"Sorry?! But you're just not listening to what I'm saying! I'm not a kid! I'm a fully grown adult! And— wait, this is a messed up way to treat a kid in the first place anyway!" Chilchuck ranted.
Senshi tutted. "I thought you were a good, quiet lad at first, Chilchuck, but now I don't know how Laios and Marcille dealt with you before this."
Chilchuck groaned in frustration, and Senshi made use of the time to pick up another egg.
"Now, we're going to try this again, and this time I don't want you spitting out any of the food, alright?"
"No! For goodness sake! Gwah—"
For tough cases like this, Senshi supposed he'd just have to keep it up until the lad learned how to behave.
Senshi swung the mandrake crop again, this time making sure to keep an eye on the lad to ensure he didn't spit out the food.
WHAP! WHAP! WHAP! WHAP!
Chilchuck exclaimed and struggled with each impact, but to his credit, the lad seemed to have gotten it into his head to not waste the food now.
WHAP! WHAP! WHAP! WHAP!
As the strikes continued, Chilchuck started to struggle less and less against Senshi's weight, and the muted yells started to be interspersed between sniffles.
WHAP! WHAP! WHAP! WHAP!
Chilchuck had finally stopped trying to struggle, quieting down, so Senshi paused. He felt Chilchuck swallow, so he checked, and was pleased to see that Chilchuck had properly ate the egg.
"You're going to be a good boy now, aren't you?" Senshi asked him in what he thought sounded like a fatherly tone.
"Yeah, fine, damnit," Chilchuck sniffed. "Fine. Whatever weird kink this is."
"Then, the rest of this meal is for you to finish." Senshi picked up a third egg, and it was a good sign when Chilchuck obediently opened his mouth to be fed.
"It's good, though, isn't it?" Senshi asked the boy, and he slowly nodded, after a short delay.
"I'm going to finish up your punishment for wasting the first egg." Chilchuck stiffened, but didn't protest, resigned now to his fate.
"I know you're being good now, but it's a reminder so you don't act up in the future. Just focus on the flavor, and it'll be over soon," Senshi soothed him.
With Chilchuck no longer struggling now, Senshi could use both his hands, one holding the egg for the boy to bite into, and the other for the mandrake crop. Alternating between feeding him and hitting his behind, the boy's sniffles soon turned to moans, as the flavorful eggs started to appeal to him. He started getting so entranced by the taste that he started moving his hips, his body responding to the interplay of tastes on his tongue.
Senshi knew then that he had successfully started Chilchuck on the path to becoming an upstanding young man.
An excerpt from Senshi's diary, written some time after the incident:
"It has come to my attention that Chilchuck has a wife and child. I seem to have had a grave misconception regarding his race. How embarrassing. I suppose it is fortunate that I had agreed with Chilchuck to not speak of the incident to the others, though I had thought it to spare his dignity at the time. Chilchuck, for a mercy, seems not to hold it against me. Though I have noticed that he has been looking for reasons to send the others ahead recently. Yesterday, he told me that he needed to talk, and that it would be good if I brought the Mandrake riding crop over again. I know not what use he has for it, but either way, it certainly would be good to clear the air. Perhaps I should make some of those Scotch eggs he enjoyed so much again, as a gift."
