Chapter Text
"W-Wait, hold on!" Ace stopped himself and looked at the frustrated student. "C-Could you repeat that again?"
"You're in Tokyo! Japan! Earth!" The student shouted. "Do you all live under a rock?! There's no such thing as Twisted Wonderland!!"
"B-But, that can't be possible!" Sebek yelled. "Everyone knows what Twisted Wonderland is! Everyone should know Malleus-sama as well!!!"
"Well, sorry!!!" The student's expression turned angry. "If that answer isn't enough, then you might as well have to deal with it!"
"Hey! Not so fast!" Grim growled as he was about to release a fireball.
"W-W-Woah, did that cat just talked?!" The student's anger turned to shock and fear when he saw Grim preparing to attack.
"N-N-No!" Epel quickly shut Grim's mouth shut before he launched his attack and get them arrested. "H-He's ah- a puppet! Yeah, ah puppet!"
Ortho, who noticed a crowd of people forming around them, quickly came to assist his Pomefiore classmate. "Yeah, Grim's a very convincing puppet! He doesn't need a human hand to speak."
Grim struggled to escape Epel's strong grip from his mouth. He would have blasted the student and scold him for calling him, the Great Grim, a cat if it wasn't for Epel closing his mouth shut. And now Ortho was calling him a puppet, the audacity. He was going to show the robot who's the puppet after scratching the student with his claws.
"But-" Jack was about to refute but was stopped by Deuce.
"Dude, look around!" Deuce's eyes widened in alarm, noticing how large the crowd was forming around them. Many of them were whispering to each other about him and his classmates, wondering if this was a fight that was staring with a neighboring schools or just an unfortunate encounter with gangsters. Others were bringing out their smartphones to either record the fight or call the authorities that are patrolling the area. As a former delinquent, Deuce knew when to stop fights from escalating when the authorities are mentioned.
"W-We're very sorry about the two of them!" Epel quickly grabbed Ace and Sebek's collars and forcibly tugged them back despite their protest. "They're very passionate about learning something new..."
"Uhh..." The student sweatdropped as the Night Raven College Sophomores immediately made a hasty retreat away from him. "...Okay..." He turned back to the direction where he was walking earlier. "...weirdos..."
Soon, the sophomores came to a stop and catch their breath. They had ran a long distance from the student and the crowd until the irradiant heat reflecting from the windows forced them to halt. Unlike some cities that were in Twisted Wonderland, these buildings that surround them were huge and standing between one of them made them feel like standing in a conventional oven.
"D-Damn it-" Ace panted for breath. Sweat was dripping off his uniform. "Why is it so friggin' hot?!?!"
"D-D-Did we lost 'em?" Epel asked, trying to catch his breath.
"Humans!!" Sebek glared at Deuce, Epel, and Jack. "Why did you dragged us all here?!"
"We literally just caused a scene!" Deuce said, defending them. "Do you really want the authorities to get us?!"
The half-fae of Diasomnia opened his mouth to retort but stopped. Ever since he started to hang out with Yuu, he started to understand how to be empathetic and look at other people's perspective. Not that he would admit it but it would also let him understand what people are thinking when they see Malleus. Now thinking of his rash action earlier, it would almost as seem that he and Ace was about to assault a student for not giving them concise information.
"Fair point." Sebek conceded.
"Wow, since when are you considerate?" Ace made a mocking tease.
"Hey, you also tried to force answers out from that human!" Sebek retorted.
"Quit it you two!" Jack stopped them. "We need to find the Prefect, remember?"
"R-Right, but... the problem is we don't even know where to start," Deuce said. "We don't even know where we are!"
"This Tokyo, Japan..." Ortho frowned from his mask. "I can't seem to access the internet, or the communications!"
"We can't even contact everyone?!" Ace, and now everyone, was now alarmed.
"I tried to connect with them earlier, but all of my attempts has been met with error." Ortho explained.
"Great, now we're trapped here with no Silver or any signs of help at all!" Ace growled.
"So what are we gonna do now... we'll never save henchmen!" Grim cried.
"Um... excuse me!" A familiar voice called out to them. "Are you guys lost?"
The Night Raven College Second Year Students turned around to the source of the voice and saw another student standing in front of them. Yet something about them was familiar. The black hair and crystal blue eyes were exactly the same like the Prefect though the hair was more smooth and frazzled on the top. There were no signs of scars on their neck or their hands from the Overblots. They wore a brown school uniform with a golden emblem sown on it. They also wore placid blue jeans with white socks and red sneakers. Hanging onto their shoulder was a black school bag.
The Second Years looked silently while the mysterious student continued on. "You don't seem to be around here and thought you guys might need some guidance at least."
"Huh...?" Deuce spoke first for everyone as they wondered why this person was so familiar.
"Oh, sorry! I forgot my manners." The student said, unknowing that the Night Raven Second Years were connecting the dots. "My name is-"
"Henchmen!" Grim shouted happily, tears and snot coming down from his face as the Direbeast pounced towards the startled Prefect.
"W-Wha-" Yuu took a step back when Grim and Deuce immediately came to hug them.
"We were looking everywhere for you!" Deuce let go from the hug and shouted.
"Indeed, do you have any idea how much you worried Malleus-sama?!" Sebek yelled.
"Oi, lower the volume!" Jack rubbed his head from the shouting.
"Where the hell were you?!" Ace demanded. "We were searching everywhere for you!"
"W-What?! What do you mean 'searching everywhere for me?'" Yuu suddenly felt defensive.
"Yuu-san-" Ortho tried to explain but was stopped by the Prefect, or before-Prefect.
"My name is not Yuu!" The pre-Prefect corrected. "My name is _________ _____________!!"
This made everyone froze. They realized Yuu has another name but, why they cannot hear it. Why is it they cannot understand it? Why was it static in their ears?
"Umm... could you repeat that again?" Epel asked, wanting to confirm.
"My name is _________ _____________!!" "Yuu" repeated.
"I know this is sudden and strange," Ortho continued what he was saying earlier. "But, right now, you're in a dream."
"Okay, that's ridiculous!" "Yuu" rolled their eyes. "This isn't a dream. This is my home."
And what caught them off guard once again. This Tokyo place, one that did not exist in Twisted Wonderland or anywhere in their world. This was Yuu's home, their world of origin. A city this vast and massive can rival the size of Maquillaville. Scratch that, it could easily surpass this through it immense size and population alone.
"This is... your world?" Ace asked, completely shocked. This was nothing like he had seen before as these buildings were totally on a different level than the architecture back home.
"Well, duh!" "Yuu" said. "Everyone knows where Tokyo is. It's the capital of Japan."
"And... you don't have the Great Seven like the-" Deuce grunted as he felt the burns on his arms once again, stopping the conversation and turning towards him.
"D-Damn it, I forgot!" Jack muttered. "We need to heal you from those burns!"
"Wait, let me see!" "Yuu" dragged their school bag down and opened one of its pouches. "Show me those burns!"
Deuce held up his arms, showing off the burnt skin that was inflicted by the black flame creature. "Yuu" took one glance and grimace before rummaging through their school bag. They then brought out a small first aid kit and opened it up, revealing some bandages and a small burn ointment. They soon began to apply the ointment before wrapping the bandages around Deuce's arms.
Soon after, "Yuu" finished and put away the First Aid kit. "There! All done!"
"Wow! Thanks uh-!" Deuce was about to thank the Prefect but stopped himself. "Yuu" or rather pre-Yuu told Deuce and everyone their real name, but they were unable to hear it. Rather, something was stopping them from hearing Yuu's true name.
"Just call me _________," "Yuu" said but the name was scratched out.
"Uh-uh huh!" Epel nodded, however he cannot get the words at all.
"You have a First Aid kit!" Ortho said, amazed by "Yuu's" skill.
"Thanks, after all, I tend to bring it with me if I ever come across an accident. It doesn't hurt to be prepared." "Yuu" smiled, scratching the back of their head.
"Well, thank you for healing Deuce!" Jack thanked them. "We could've used healing magic but we had to preserve it."
"Healing... magic? Um... are you guys... either cosplayers or misplaced part-time employees working at Disneyland Sea?"
"C-Cosplayers?" Sebek and Jack was startled by the pre-Prefect's question.
"P-Part-time employees?!" Epel shouted, as if he was almost offended.
"What the heck is a Disneyland?" Grim asked.
"And a cat that can talk..." "Yuu" muttered, seeing Grim.
"I'm not a cat!"
"Yuu" then looked at the clock on their phone. Their eyes widened in alarm, realizing what time it was. Immediately, they hoisted their school bag over their shoulder and began running, shocking the Night Raven Second Years.
"H-Hey, where are you going?!" Deuce shouted as he stood up and ran after them.
"Wait for us!" Epel yelled, following Deuce.
"Not again..." Ace groaned, having to run again. He had already ran for Coach Vargas, he did not want to do it again.
"Come on, we're gonna lose them!" Ortho shouted as he carried Ace into his arms.
"L-Let me down!" Ace's face was now flustered by the android who was now carrying him down towards the group.
"Yuu" raced towards the bottom of the stairway that was stationed next to the intersection. They jumped down from the last step continued to run downwards. They could not afford to be late as the subway train that will take them home will arrive in a few minutes. The tram is always crowded as tourists and other people would often take it to their next destination or their last.
Right as they were about to pay for entry, they heard a familiar voice that belonged to someone they had just met not too long ago. "Yuu" turned around to see Deuce, Ace, Grim, Ortho, Jack, Epel, and Sebek stopping and catching their breath.
"Did you guys literally follow me here?!" "Yuu" spoke to them, alarmed.
"W-Well yeah!!" Ace shouted. "We just found you! And we literally don't have a place to stay!!"
"Can't you be a bit more subtle!!!" Jack stared skeptically at Ace. The latter was giving off the wrong impression, especially after the Prefect helped them with Deuce's burns.
"Well let's see what you can say when we don't even know where to go!!" The Heartslaybul Second Year retorted while also stating the truth. They were completely on their own in a different world, or dream, with no one to help them at all. Silver was not with them and communications with reality was cut off. Not to mention there was the flame creature that attacked them and the fact that they accumulated blot in a short amount of time.
"Human, I demand that you take us to your abode this instant!" Sebek ordered.
"W-W-What he meant ta' say is that we don' even have a place to stay!!" Epel immediately corrected Sebek before their situation could get worst, again. "We lost our belongings on our way here an' we don' know where ta go!"
"He's right," Ortho added in. "We're lost and we don't have a place to reconvene."
"Well, considering that I shouldn't be the one talking to strangers, you guys sure been through a lot." "Yuu" commented, noticing their outfits were now covered with dust and remembering Deuce's bandaged arms.
'Understatement of the century...' The Second Years simultaneously thought.
"I suppose I could let you guys stay at my place for now..." "Yuu" said.
This immediately perked up the Second Years as they stared at "Yuu" as if they were their messiah.
"R-Really?" Deuce, Ace, and Grim looked at them with gleaming puppy eyes.
"It'll only be for a couple of days until I know where the hell you guys are trying to go!" "Yuu" explained. "And I want you all be on your best behavior when you arrive."
"Yes sir!" They shouted. But their faces had other ideas.
'Wow, I never did visit Yuu's home. I hope I can make a lasting first impression!' Deuce thought to himself.
'So we're visiting the Prefect's home? I want to see what stuff I can find to tease them when all this is over.' Ace smiled to himself.
'I hope there's some good food over there.' Grim mentally said.
"Your faces tells a different story." Sebek commented flatly, noticing their strange expressions.
"We should head down now, the train should be arriving soon." "Yuu" said, bringing out their smartphone and pressing it on the fare gate. They soon made it to the other side before turning back towards the Second Years, who stared in utter bewilderment. "Do you guys not have money to pay for the toll?"
"Does madols or thaumarks count?" Ortho asked sheepishly, knowing that whatever currency or method "Yuu" used to pay was completely foreign to them.
"Somehow, I suddenly regret this..." "Yuu" sighed.
It took a few minutes to help Ace, Deuce, Epel, Jack, Ortho, and Sebek to cross the fare gate. They had to explain to the security guard about the Second Year's predicament while the latter themselves had to find a way to lie to the guard, as much as to Jack and Sebek's dislike to deceive. Thankfully, they were given tickets which allowed them to pass through the gate with ten-thousand yen. However, for Grim, he was forced to placed under "Yuu's" care since he was an animal, which the former disliked.
Yet, they eventually made it through before traveling further deeper into the subway before stopping near the tracks.
"Right now, we need to take the Marunouchi Line to get to Otemachi station and board the Toei Line for Monzen-nakacho!" "Yuu" explained as they heard the sound of the subway train arriving.
"Does anyone understood what henchmen just said?" Grim asked, completely lost.
"I... think so?" Deuce hesitantly answered, completely baffled by the underground train station.
"I don't even know." Ace replied.
"I... am completely lost." Epel responded.
"You should've listened better." Sebek scolded.
"I can't really hear a thing..." Jack said as he covered his ears. The sound of the train arriving and people constant mutter forced him to cover his wolf ears.
"I understood everything!" Ortho answered with a smile.
Soon the tram stopped as hundreds of people exited the vessel, shocking the Second Years. "Yuu," not deterred by the turbulence of people, quickly moved to the side before stepping into the tram. The Night Raven students soon made their way towards the Prefect before being crowded from all sides by pedestrians the moment the door closes.
"Sevens... it's so tight..." Ace muttered being squeezed by two large men.
"I can't even move..." Deuce said being lodged.
"Do all humans have to crowd in one car like this?!" Sebek asked skeptically.
"An' I 'aught Maquillaville was crowded." Epel complained.
"How long do we have to be here?" Jack, who was the closest to "Yuu," asked.
"Give or take forty minutes because the tram we're currently in is at Shinjuku-sanchome right now so nine stops!" "Yuu" said, shocking the Second Years again.
"N-Nine stops?" Deuce muttered, almost fearfully.
"This train's gonna be the death of me..." Ace commented with dread.
"I ain't ridin' one of these things anytime soon..." Epel added.
"I'm starting to understand how Idia feels..." Grim muttered under "Yuu's" grasp.
"But we do have to get off this train to get to the next one." The Prefect said, causing the Pomefiore Second Year to groaned.
"This is gonna fun!" Ortho, who hadn't ride on a train before, smiled as the train departs.
Forty minutes later and nine torturous stops, the Second Years and the Prefect arrived at Otemachi and began walking to the next train, as much as to everyone's dismay.
"I still can't believe we have to do this again..." Ace muttered, feeling like his legs were killing him.
"On the bright side, we did learn something new about Yuu's world," Ortho said.
"I still can't believe this is Yuu's world..." Jack stared in awed seeing how so much people were crossing back-and-forth as if it was a community event.
"Yeah, this is bigger than Clock Town, or any city..." Deuce agreed.
"This can't be as grand as Briar Valley!" Sebek said.
"But Yuu said this is the capital... and his home." Epel recalled.
"It can't possibly be that big." Ace shook his head, wanting to deny how big Tokyo was. It may have a large population but it couldn't be bigger than the Queendom of Roses or Briar Valley.
"C'mon guys, this way!" "Yuu" shouted, carrying Grim in their arms before entering down the fleet of stairs.
They followed until they entered the next terminal before boarding the next train. This time, to their delight, there were less people than before. The train soon departed from the station, taking the Second Years and "Yuu" with them.
The train, after three stops, soon came to Monzen-nakacho where they soon got off and began walking out. They moved south towards the residential area until they reached the corner where a house welcomed them.
The house has a green tiled roof with white walls and rectangular slide-in windows. By the driveway was a blue small car that was recently been driven. Outside of its stone brick walls, there was a golden plague with kanji etched into it, stating the family name. However, the name was scratched off with something sharp, leaving it illegible to read.
"Yuu" grabbed a key from their pocket and unlocked the door before stepping in.
"I'm home!" "Yuu" shouted as their voice echoed the halls.
Suddenly, small footsteps were heard before the door leading to the living room was opened, revealing a small boy.
"Welcome back, Nii-san!" The boy smiled before jumping into "Yuu's" arms.
The Second Years who were now looking at the scene are now baffled.
"Nii- Nii-san?!?!?!" The Second Years all yelled.
For the entire year in Twisted Wonderland, they all assumed the Prefect was the only child in their, or rather, in his family. Yuu never did revealed their true gender to everyone; so to not offend the Prefect, they used they/them pronouns to address them. But now, in this strange dream, the Second Years were all seeing Yuu's life before they arrived to Twisted Wonderland.
The boy who smiled at his older brother noticed them and asked. "Nii-san, who are these people?"
"Oh, everyone, this is Nanashi, my little brother!" "Yuu" introduced the boy.
"Hi there!" Deuce slowly crouched down and introduce himself. "My name is Deuce!" He then turned towards his friends who also were looking at the boy, surprised. "This is Ace, Epel, Jack, Sebek, Ortho, and Grim!"
"Hello!" Ace let out a small wave to the boy.
"Heya!" Epel smiled.
"Hmph, a pleasure to meet you!" Sebek huffed.
"Hello there!" Ortho smiled.
"Hey there!" Jack said, using his experience with his own brother and sister, waved.
"Wow..." Nanashi eyes widened with curiosity and wonder. The boy was amazed how big they are, especially Sebek and Jack. He noticed Jack's wolf ears and tail. "Are those ears real?"
Jack, noticing Nanashi's attention towards him, nodded. "Yeah, these wolf ears and tail are real."
"And here I thought you were cosplaying..." "Yuu" muttered under his breath, which Jack heard.
"Hey!"
"Can I touch them?" Nanashi asked.
"S-Sure..." Jack soon bend down, allowing the small boy to pet it.
Nanashi reached for Jack's ears as slowly carressed it, realizing how soft and realistic they were when they twitched.
"They're so fluffy!!" The boy praised while continuing to pet it. The Savannaclaw Second Year blushed while Ace, Deuce, Grim, and Epel chuckled in the background.
"Shut it!!" Jack hissed at them.
Nanashi, who noticed Ortho, looked at him with awe. "Are you a robot?"
"I'm an android to be more precise!" The Ignihyde Second Year said.
"Can you go super-giant?! Shot lasers out from your eyes?! Launch rocket fist out of your arms-?!" Nanashi enthusiastically asked before "Yuu" picked him up and slowly patted his head.
"S-Sorry, Nanashi often gets excited when it comes to robots, especially mechas." He apologized. "It's his favorite genre."
"It's okay!" Ortho nodded, seeing resemblance of his older brother in Nanashi when it came to robots and mecha anime. "If anything, to answer your younger brother's question: No, Probably, I can-"
"Since when can you do that?!" Ace and Epel looked at the young Shroud shocked.
"For a long time actually," The android simply answered with a smile. "None of you ever asked."
"So... cool!!!" Nanashi's eyes sparkled in awe. "Can I be your friend?!"
"Sure!" Ortho smiled.
"Ahem," Grim coughed, catching the young boy's attention. "Saving the best for last, I am the Great Grim! Mage extraordinaire! The Great Mage that has ever made in the world!"
"No one calls you that." Ace nonchalantly said with a flat stare.
Nanashi looked at the Direbeast with a head tilt. "A talking cat?"
"Hey! It's the Great and Magnificent Grim!" The monster growled with a puff of blue fire.
"And an arsonist at that." Ace added.
"Whoa..." Nanashi muttered mesmerized before the door from the living room opened again.
A mature woman came out from the door. She was tall, around Deuce's height, and she sported brown hair and blue eyes. Her hairstyle was unique as one long line of hair fell down from the left side of her face while the other side was short with more hair coming down from her back. She wore a blue shirt and a long black dress while wearing a white apron, indicating that she was in the kitchen cooking.
"Welcome home, ______________!" She welcomed "Yuu" before looking down at Nanashi. "Nanashi couldn't wait to see you."
"Hello, mother!" "Yuu" spoke to her fondly.
The Night Raven Second Years were shocked. They were now meeting the Prefect's mother and they have to say, "Yuu" really took his eyes after his mother. That said, the mother of the Prefect noticed them.
"Oh, I didn't expect we have guests today." "Yuu's" mother gasped. "Are you all my son's friends?"
"Not-" "Yuu" replied, but was cut off by Ace.
"Yes!!! Yes, we are!" The Heartslaybul Second Year interjected. "We met not too long ago and we hit it off greatly!!" Soon, Ace drifted his head towards his friends, motioning his eyes to play along.
"U-Uh, yeah! We lost a friend and we're trying to search for them." Deuce grimaced at his own lie, but it wasn't too far from the truth. "We happened to stumble across your son who helped us and we wanted to repay that debt."
"Also because we don't have a place to stay." Epel bluntly added, making Jack and Sebek winced.
"Oh dear, I'm very sorry to hear that..." "Yuu's" mother empathized. "I do hope you all find your friend soon. Tokyo is very vast and it's easy to get lost if you don't know which way to go or where the train departs. But I can let you all live with us before you go."
"R-Really?" Almost all of them spoke with bewilderment.
"So long as you all behave and clean up after yourselves, you all can live here." "Yuu's" mother laid down the conditions.
"T-Thank you, Nanashi's mom!!" The Second Years bowed to her.
"O-Oh, there's no need to such respect." The mother shook her head. "And also call me Miss _____________."
"O-Oh, yes ma'am!" Deuce nodded before a growling noise filled the vibrant hallway.
"I'm hungry!" Grim said, holding his rumbling stomach.
"A talking cat, that's a new one!" "Yuu's" mother chuckled before opening the door to the living room. "Come on in, I just finished making dinner!" She walked inside before calling out to everyone once again. "Make sure you all wash your hands first!"
Soon dinner was served and everyone had their share. Their dinner has consisted of a plate of cooked fish with herbs and salt, a bowl of rice, steamed vegetables comprised of carrots and greens, and miso soup. The atmosphere was warm and lively as everyone began to eat. After their first bite, they soon want to eat more. The food "Yuu's" mother made was excellent, nearly rivaling the cooking of their parents. Soon, dinner was over and the dishes were neatly cleaned and stashed away.
"Man, I'm stuffed!" Ace smiled, patting his stomach.
"Can't help but say the Prefect's mom is a great cook." Jack said while his tail wagged, expressing his satisfied mood.
"Hmph, the Prefect's mother's cooking is good, but it's nothing compared to-" Sebek shouted but was interrupted by Epel.
"Lilia, right?" The Pomefiore Second Year asked, which caused the Diasomnia Second Year to sweat.
"-the cafeteria!!!" Sebek finished. "Don't insult Lilia-sama! (Even though that's hardly worth comparing...)"
"I sensed hesitation and an increased heartrate in-" Ortho analyzed Sebek's strange behavior.
"Stop it!" Sebek ordered. "I do not want to hear it from you."
"Aww, I wanted more..." Grim frowned.
"You tried to take our plate when you just finished yours in seconds!" Ace retorted.
Deuce, who had helped the Prefect's mother washed the dishes, walked back to them.
"Their- I mean, his mother's very nice." Deuce corrected himself. Calling "Yuu" by their proper pronouns would take some getting used to. "I do wish we could see them again after we save Yuu."
And that comment alone made everyone remember their mission. They had to save Yuu from overblotting and find the source of the overblot, the phantom.
"Damn it, we just arrived here and we haven't even seen the phantom at all!" Ace groaned in frustration.
"In our defense, we only just arrived here and we don't know where to begin." Jack corrected. "And not to mention casting our magic is harder than it looks right now."
Taking out their magic pens, the Second Years felt unease when the magestones were still murky with blot.
"We should start conserving our magic and using it when it's a complete emergency." Ortho advised. "And that means Ace, Grim, you two are not allowed to use magic on each other."
"Why only me?!" Ace and Grim were offended and yelled.
"You two are the only ones to cast magic whenever one of you tries to get the rise out of the other." Sebek explained with a frown. "But Ortho is right, we need to conserve out magic reserves for the phantom if we want to save the Prefect and make Malleus-sama happy again!"
Then, the living room door opened, revealing Nanashi in his pajamas. "Jack! Ortho! Sebek! You guys can go into my room now!"
Earlier, during dinner, sleeping arrangements were made on who was sleeping where. "Yuu" and Nanashi both volunteered to have their rooms house the seven Night Raven students. Though the rooms were small so they were, almost, evenly split among two groups of three. Without hesitation, Nanashi picked Jack, Ortho, and Sebek because, in his eyes, the three of them were cool in his definition, thus leaving Ace, Deuce, Epel, and Grim with "Yuu."
"I think we should discuss where we left off tomorrow." Epel advised, believing it was not right to talk about the Prefect's condition to their- his little brother.
Everyone agreed as Jack, Ortho, and Sebek went to escort the young boy back into his room and retire for the day.
"We should take some rest as well." Deuce said. "We can picks things up for tomorrow."
Then, the remaining group: Ace, Deuce, Epel, and Grim, quietly went upstairs and entered the Prefect's room. Strangely, entering "Yuu's" room felt off. They had often visited them back in Ramshackle when they often want to hang out. This, however, feels alien for this was "Yuu" before he came to Twisted Wonderland.
Inside the Prefect's room was completely normal. A small bed hugging one side of the wall, next to a window being blocked by grey curtains and a small desk with a lamp. A small desk with both writing and drawing utensils, indicating that this "Yuu" loved to draw. A large closet stationed to one corner of the room with a standing mirror not too far from it. Right at the center of the room was a large futon that "Yuu" had recently rolled out from his closet and laid it on the floor. The Prefect himself had just fallen asleep on his bed, blanket covering their entire body while they dreamed away.
"So we're sleeping here tonight?" Epel asked, inspecting the room with both fascination and caution.
"Well I call dibs!" Grim announced as he scampered towards "Yuu's" bed and jumped on the covers, alarming the three students.
"G-Grim!!" Deuce silently yelled in shock and horror while the Direbeast quickly fell to sleep on top of the Prefect.
"Why do we have to be with this furball?!" Ace muttered with irritation.
"Grim, if you weren't on the Prefect right now, I'ma strangle you..." Epel's eye twitched.
"Yuu," however, did not seemed fazed by the newly added weight. They continue to doze off without care while Ace, Deuce, and Epel began to crawl into the futon.
"Can't believe, I'm sleeping on the floor..." Ace grumbled quietly as to not wake "Yuu."
"Beggars can't be choosers, Ace." Deuce muttered.
"Well, we should go to sleep, g'night everyone..." Epel immediately went to sleep.
"Night..." Deuce went next.
"...Night..." Ace was the last as he begrudgingly drifted off to sleep.
