ATFCJ - Catelyns Best of the Best
A place for me to stash my absolute all time fav FICS
I've read a LOT of fan fic over the last 20 years and I want a place to stash my absolute recs
Main fandoms will be MCU, The Witcher (All media), Shadow hunters (All media) and some Voltron. That's as of 2026. I'm sure more fandoms will enter as new stuff comes out, but I do tend to cycle thru the old favs.
As a general rule, all series and fics will be completed, unless it is a series that has natural stopping points. I absolutely hate unfinished works and I tend to only read WIPs if they are outstanding and I know the author is likely to finish
This collection is mostly for myself, but if it helps you find new works to love, amazing! That's an excellent bonus

Summary
Tony Stark resigned his commission in Starfleet five years ago, after a disastrous away mission, and he swore he'd never go back. He just wants to be left alone to build warp engines in peace. But the universe has more in store for him than that, as he discovers when Admiral Fury comes to him with an offer he could never have expected and cannot possibly refuse: first officer and chief engineer aboard the all-new USS Avenger, a starship of Tony's own design. What's more, the Avenger's captain is Steve Rogers, hero of the Earth-Romulan War. Believed dead for over a century, Steve is miraculously alive... and very, very attractive.
But nothing is ever easy for Tony. As he wrestles with his secret desire for his new captain and his not-so-dormant fears, another mission starts to go wrong, and Tony becomes aware that Steve has secrets of his own -- and the truth could change everything.

Summary
Peter Parker was back from the dead. At least that is what everybody told him. He'd been snapped out of existence until some sort of time travel and an active death wish by his mentor had saved him and the universe. Just your average sort of life for a 16 year old from Queens.
Peter comes back to find May has a husband and a kid. A new family he has to fit into. But he has done it before, he can do it again.
The only thing that feels solid is Tony: the Blip and fatherhood have mellowed him and Peter loves the bond they have now. He knows Tony would be there for him through anything. But Tony needs to focus on his own recovery - not small time Peter Parker problems. When things at home take a turn for the worse, Peter decides that he'll handle it himself. He is Spider-man. He's been to space and fought aliens. He can get through anything. After all, if May is happy, he is happy, right? Right?

Summary
Today has been strange and, considering the majority of Bucky’s life, when he says strange, Bucky really means that.
It’s not one big thing that makes it strange. He’s fought giant interdimensional squid monsters while standing on the shoulder of the statue of liberty. Things like that don’t faze him any more. It’s the little things that are making the back of his brain itch. All the little things that are starting to add up. It’s that uncanny valley feeling: everything just a little left of normal, not enough for you to say exactly what's wrong, but enough that you know something isn’t right.
And he’s pretty sure it’s got something to do with Clint Barton.
