Summary
“Coach Foster told me that you’re coming back to play for the Jackals again,” Atsumu says over the phone. “Where will you be staying? You sold your place when you left, didn’t you?”
“I did.”
Because he hadn’t planned on ever returning.
“So have you found a place yet?”
“I’m still looking.”
“You can stay at mine,” Atsumu says softly.
“What?”
“Come stay with me, Omi.”
Three years ago, Kiyoomi left to play volleyball in France.Atsumu stayed.
Three years on, Kiyoomi returns.
But he's only staying for a year, only until his contract with the Jackals ends. And then he'll retire from volleyball, and take his final leave. Because he's spent his entire life running from love and he's not sure when he'll stop, if ever.
This is not a love story; this is a story about love. -

Summary
He thinks that Atsumu knows, to some extent. They both know that there’s something there, something more in the lingering touches after they’re done, in the quiet looks and quieter kisses in pale moonlight that they share in wordless understanding.
But Atsumu knows that Kiyoomi isn’t ready—and Kiyoomi knows that Atsumu never waits for anyone.

Summary
The intercom announces the arrival at the next bus stop. Sakusa shifts in his position to let people squeeze by him as painlessly as possible. He looks at the person again, and his face is honestly hard to paint. In the space between them is the ether that emits the need for them to say something, just anything, one glance could last an entire score of words that could have been said, but in the five-second timeframe that lays out a chance, it all fritters away when the stranger with the toned blonde hair breaks eye contact and moves on his feet towards the exit.
For a short meeting with barely anything but exchanged glances, Sakusa has one too many thoughts to keep him up at night.

Summary
Kiyoomi keeps eye-contact as he downs the remainder of his drink in one shot.
“Go get me another one then, since you want to be the babysitter.”
Atsumu arches an eyebrow at him, but takes his cup all the same. He’s sure he can handle Kiyoomi, despite how drunk he may get. It’s never been anything he couldn’t deal with in the past — regardless of the way it makes his heart stammer and stop.
Atsumu thinks he may look back on this moment and wonder if he tempted the gods.
Taking over a club with alumni from all of the powerhouse schools of Atsumu's youth sounds like an adventure in and of itself, but it's nothing compared to what Kiyoomi has in store for him.
