Summary
Izuku Midoriya’s father is a Hou-ou — a Japanese phoenix.
For some reason, this means yokai have a standing invitation to pester Izuku with their existence. Birds assemble choirs for his birthday. If there’s no cedar leaf under the welcome mat, the amazake babaa that lives two apartments over will be knocking on their door by evening. His yokai-purifying excursions get mistaken for vigilantism far too often.
(What’s going on with All Might? Is Principle Nedzu a yokai? Tokoyami, could you please get Dark Shadow to stop calling me ‘my Lord’?)

Summary
The Sludge Villain doesn't find Bakugo after escaping All Might, but some other random civilian. There's no series of explosions to draw All Might to the scene of the second attack. It's by pure luck that Izuku stumbles upon them. And Izuku does what he always has when he sees one person hurting another: inserts himself between the aggressor and victim. He finds this is significantly harder to do when one of the parties is a sentient slime.

He’s got a habit of biting off more than he can chew, but that’s okay as long as he’s doing some good in the world! Good thing there are a handful of people who are desperate to keep him alive.
Izuku’s got a lot to learn a lot about family, community, and what exactly makes someone 'good' or 'bad.' This world's not all black and white after all. And when most of the people in power are worse than useless, sometimes the best you can hope for is to be better than nothing.

Loving Felix to the point of martyrdom, he realises with a sinking dejection, is something he's content to do without recognition. Particularly when on paper he looks like a jealous, patronising busybody. The humidity of his tongue in his mouth is cloying. "I just want to be there in case you need me." A smile. It feels unconvincing even to him.

Todoroki and Bakugou have an arrangement. They meet up for secret make out sessions, but that doesn't mean they're dating. Even if Shouto is a needy mess. He's having a hard time focusing on anything but Bakugou's lips when he notices their friends acting stranger than usual.
