Wally looks at him questioningly but, doesn’t say anything. Dick clears his throat and looks his fiancée in the eye before speaking, “Well, I sort of ran into someone yesterday.”
“And you’re letting them sleep in your bed?” Wally guesses incredulous.
“You don’t understand. I wasn’t going to let him sleep on the couch, it’s uncomfortable.” Dick claims.
“So, you slept on the couch?” Wally asked confused.
“Now you’re getting it.”
“Am I, though?”
“Wally, love, this kid deserves the best of the best. I wasn’t going to let him sleep on the couch.” Dick explains.
“Kid?!” Wally exclaims, “Dick, did you kidnap a child?”
“Technically no.”
“What do you mean, technically?!”
“I mean I didn’t take him without parental consent? Technically.” Dick tries (and fails) to explain.

Peter is choking. That is the first thing he realizes as he is regaining consciousness. He tries to cough, to blink awake, but all he sees is green and all he feels is… green. It’s everywhere. It sits in the stomach, his throat, even in his veins. He is nothing but green.

Peter Parker has a problem. His solution? Ask Dr. Strange to send him to another universe. One where he can forge meaningful bonds. In a place that needs Spider-Man more than New York does.

After losing the fight with Thanos, Peter is left in a bad way. A very bad way. When the snap happens, Peter knows there is no escape.
He doesn't expect to wake up drowning in green.

“I hope they remember you.” Thanos raised his hand, stones glowing.“Wait, wait, stop, please!” Peter’s ribs ached, his lungs trembling with the need for air, but Peter couldn’t stand there and watch Mr. Stark die, he just couldn’t. With a thwip of his webs, he slid in between Mr. Stark and Thanos. “Can’t we talk about this?” He pleaded.
“Kid, don’t.” Mr. Stark gasped.
“There is nothing to say. The universe must be saved and this is the only way.” Thanos’s eyes on Peter chilled him to the bone. Peter had seen a lot since he started running around Queens as Spider-Man. A lot. He’d seen crazy eyes, angry eyes, sad eyes, eyes full of grief, eyes full of fear. Never before had he seen such emotionless eyes as those Thanos had. There was no hate, anger, or fear in those eyes. They were completely calm.
They didn’t look crazy at all, and it was terrifying to see when he knew just what the Titan had planned.

Fun fact about Peter Grayson-Wayne: that wasn't always his name.
Ever since he was a kid, he's had nightmares he couldn't explain: falling, a city on fire, a woman's hand going cold in his, a promise made over a body of a man he couldn't save. Grief so heavy he could never explain, so ingrained in his heart long before he understood why it was there. He's seventeen before he finds out why. A whole other life, waiting years to be remembered and it's about to cost this family every secret the've ever kept from him.
Or: Thirteen years ago, Bruce Wayne carried a five-year-old out of a circus tent and promised him he was safe now. Some ghost don't haunt houses. Some of them just grow up in one, quietly, neglected in plain sight, until they remember exactly who they used to be and every secret the family has tried to bury starts climbing back out with him. Gotham's about to get a hero it never saw coming and the family that spent years deciding what Peter was strong enough to know will find out how much stronger he already was.

Summary
Peter Parker may have been dropped in some Jersey-based hellscape thanks to Dr Strange’s spell, but he was making it work. He was. Okay, reliving his teen years wasn’t on his bingo card, nor was being homeless, but he wasn't homeless for long! He’s been crashing with one of the local heroes. It’s some guy called Red Hood who seems to terrify everyone, which personally he thinks is silly, because this dork is clearly an absolute softy. Despite having the intelligence of an 18 year old tech genius in the body of a homeless 13 year old, and, oh yeah, the whole spider thing, Peter thinks he’s been doing a stellar job of being your run-of-the-mill average homeless teenager.
Jason Todd, on the other hand, is about to have an aneurism. There is a homeless child with his name, Dick's face and Tim's intelligence sleeping in his safe-house. They don’t know where he came from, or how he fights as easy as breathing. He just knows that he’s somehow responsible for this mess now.Jesus fucking christ.

However, the spell screws up, while everyone's memory's are altered, Peter dies again. However he ends up waking up in another world, confused but adopted after he exits a green pool of liquid.

“Little Wing?” Dick’s tone lost the harshness to it, as if sensing that Jason was teetering on the edge. He could always tell when Jason needed the grounding. He always knew. Could feel it from a mile away.
“Dick, I think…I think you have a son.”He closed his eyes, surrendering to the darkness. He forced his heartbeat to slow, and an eerie calmness washed over his thoughts. The last image that flickered through his mind was Aunt May’s lifeless eyes.
Peter hoped he wouldn’t wake up again.
