Summary
Mk has been having a hard time with the whole, being a monkey, meant to die, world changing events thing. Hasn't even told anyone what happened in the Pillar. Everyone is worried about him, and he doesn't know how to handle that either.
With a little intervention from Sandy, Mk ends up joining Mei on her longest trip to train with Red Son yet. A full week spending time with friends and no responsibilities. A well earned break.
And Mk isn't the only one who needs it.

“You relentlessly pester me to have a week of training, then bring him along unannounced?” Red Son shakes Mk for emphasis, and Mk is undeterred from trying for that hug.
“I announced him!” Mei gets out her phone. “I can pull it up!”
“PUPPY VIDEOS DON'T—” Red Son bursts into flames, launching Mk away. He takes a deep breath. “Which video was I supposed to interpret as you telling me you were bringing Noodle Boy?”

Often they didn’t return until long after the sun set.
So when not thirty minutes later they came rushing back in the cave, the Queen feared the worst.
She rushed up to them, immediately grabbing Syntax and looking him over. “Are you hurt?” She demanded, hissing slightly.
“No.” Huntsman confirmed quickly, making her relax. “But we found that boy. The brown haired one with the headband. Something’s wrong with him. He’s not acting right. Keeps glowing and whimpering. He might be hurt.”
OR-Mk runs off after loosing control of his powers, and ends up injured and unconscious outside the spider Clan's cave

Macaque, specifically. And why is MK sending MACAQUE of all people to check on him!!

Kai is jealous of Cole and Geo. Took him a while to realize, but he loves Cole, but its a little too late. Kai seems to have less of a place on the team post-merge, no one seems to need him anymore. Along with that, he isn't over the monsters he faced in the land of monsters, and they are coming back to bite him, physically and emotionally...
