Gabriel watched, invisible to them, the sleeping infant safe in his arms...’
Dean Winchester is a hell of a hunter, but everyone knows he's a little standoffish, a little cold. Until the night a young, shaggy-haired stranger saves him from a demon attack, leaving behind nothing but an alias, a funny looking blade, and a lot of questions.
Sam knows the only way to save the people he loves is to stay far away from them. He knows in the other timeline he ruined everything. This new life that Gabriel created is so much better for everyone. Even if it means he can never be Sam Winchester, can never be Dean's brother.
As events and memories start to echo across to the new timeline, Sam has to face who he really is and Dean has to choose who he becomes.
Exploring dropped plotlines, saving under-utilized characters, and all the chick flick moments.

A brush of reiatsu and something moved in his vision- gray and purple. Ichigo pried his eyes open, catching a glimpse of a familiar face.
“Jii-san.”
Yamamoto Genryuusai placed a gentle hand on his face and Ichigo leaned into it, allowing the darkness to overtake his vision.

Which would have been fine, of course, if he wasn't in an impossibly heavy suit, and if a man named Nightwing wasn't coming to possibly end his life.
Growing up was hard enough without having to do it twice.

Summary
The Bats were dead and Dick was the only one left alive. He had nothing left for him so why shouldn’t he join them?
Waking up back in time was not the plan but Dick wasn’t complaining. He finally has his family back and he will not lose them again.
Robin has always been able to do what Batman couldn’t. It was okay that Bruce won’t kill. Dick wouldn’t ask him to compromise his morals.
But he had no such restrictions. He doesn’t mind killing, getting his hands dirty, and being a monster if it means his family is alive.
