Bruce - because there’s no way she’s calling him Batman in her head while on her deathbed - puts his gloved hand just over the tips of her fingers, and Steph can’t help but wonder who of the two of them he’s trying to comfort. It’s a mean thought, but she is having trouble remembering to keep it optimistic. Must be a side effect of dying.
“Don’t worry, Stephanie. She’ll never want for anything, I promise.”
