Summary
Peter Parker is exhausted. Queens hates him for a murder he never committed, every person he loved is dead or has forgotten him, and he's just trying to survive.
That gets a whole lot more complicated when two people in red suits tackle him on a roof demanding to know who he is because, according to them, he couldn't be Spider-Man. Oh, and they are saying Tony Stark is alive.
He had no idea what is going on.

Summary
Tony Stark has been visiting the local orphanage for longer than he had been Iron Man. It was some stupid thing that Pepper suggested that he do for the publicity, but as soon as Tony met 4 year old Peter Parker, everything changed.
And it just so happens that Christmas is around the corner. Tony makes it his mission to give poor Peter whatever he wants.

After six years of being in the foster care system, fourteen year old Peter Parker somehow managed to win an opportunity to meet his hero. The one and only Tony Stark.
“Not much of a talker is he,” Tony casually stated, making Peter stomach churn with unease. He had no idea where the man was going with his assessment and wasn’t really sure how to properly defend himself. Thankfully, he didn’t have to.“Peter has what they call selective mutism,” the social worker replied. “So, no. I suppose he’s not much of a talker.”
Tony leaned back in his chair and arched his eyebrow. “He doesn’t talk at all?”
“I’ve been his social worker for six years and I’ve never heard more than a peep out of him,” the social worker said, this time, turning towards Peter to offer him a reassuring smile.

Peter’s Dad used to write his phone number on Peter’s arm when they went out to the park, so that Peter could get someone to call him in case he ever got lost.
When Peter wakes up in an unfamiliar place with people who claim to be his parents, naturally he remembers the number and calls home as soon as possible. Even if he has to wait a few years.
