Once Upon A Time & Frozen is hardly an example, as everything you mentioned is owned by Disney. ABC & OUAT & Frozen are Disney properties, so there was no permissions being granted. The whole reason OUAT can do what they do with all the characters they have is because it's all owned by Disney. I highly doubt the show would have happened otherwise, it would have been too expensive. Which sort of ties back to this whole topic, because it's all well and good when we're discussing a few murky titles here and there but going against giants like Disney? good luck.
Thanks a lot. :) I really didn't know that when I was watching the show for the first time. Yes, I am still not giving up on publishing fan fictions for profit. I just have a feeling that it will be successful one day. :)
