    1. I'm in the northwest UK, so I am waiting to hear whether or not we will go back into full lockdown. It wouldn't make much difference to me since I have worked all the way through this pandemic on the frontlines. I can't imagine having to work from home, it would drive me insane. These stories are what have helped get me through this, it has been my happy place, so seeing updates from my favourites really brightens my day, especially when dealing with horrible people who refuse to follow guidelines. So far, all your stories have been great, but flames and dancing in the storm are two of my all time favourites, that i return to time and again.

      1. Fingers crossed that you don't go back into Lockdown. We're just coming out of our second lockdown and it wasn't fun at all. I can deal with not being able to go out and all that, but its hard not seeing family and trying to get little kids to understant what's going on.

I've worked the entire time everything's been going on, mostly at home but occasionally i've gone into the office. I can't imagine how hard it must be being on the frontlines though. I've always had a deep respect for all our frontline works and even more so now.

This pandemic has brought out the good and the bad in so many people. It actually fills me with sorrow when i think about how many selfish and spoilt people are really out there. I used to be proud to live in Melbourne, use to boast it was one of the worlds most livable cities but not so much anymore, because of a small group of people who think they are so entitled and special that their needs out weight everyone else. (Sorry venting a little but I am sure you know what I meant)

I am so happy when I hear that i've been able to help someone find a happy place, even if its only for a little while. As a writer there is no bigger compliment as knowing that something you've written has made someone happy. Writing is my joy and happy place, and it is a huge gift that i can share it and spread the joy.

        1. oh, we will definitely be going back into lockdown, unfortunately. I live in Warrington, right between Manchester and Liverpool, and over here we are now in a tier structure, tier 1, which means that the only thing we really need to do is social distance and wear masks in public, tier 2 (which Warrington, for some reason is currently in) which means that we need to social distance and we are not allowed in people's homes, but we can meet at pubs and in private gardens, and tier 3, which means pubs, gyms, salons and the like are all closed, and we cannot meet even in private gardens. every town and city surrounding us are all tier 3, and we have one of the highest number of covid cases in the northwest, if not the country. it doesnt help that people from tier 3 regions are coming here to come to the pub and gyms, refusing to wear masks and whatnot in public and there's no way to stop it from happening. (I am also venting, right now, lol). It angers me because they are putting us in even more exposure whilst complaining that they're being oppressed and that they want things to go back to normal. it really beggars belief. It is nice to hear that in other parts of the world things are looking up though, it gives me hope that the situation here is not always going to be so bleak and that life can return to somewhat normalcy.
you really do make my day with your updates, and if you ever need to vent, you can always drop me a message on here and i will be happy to listen :)

          1. Seems there are idiots everywhere and just not here that just can't follow the rules. Fingers crossed if you do go into full lockdown, it won't be for too long. We were hoping for more restrictions to be lifted tomorrow but it seems that won't be happening because there have been too many people breaking the rules.

I'm about half way through chapter 3 and hope to have it post next weekend!

            1. It has been announced that we will be going into a sort of lockdown. basically, we are no longer allowed to meet other households in their homes or private gardens and any pub that cannot operate as a restaurant is ordered to close. hopefully it won't last too long and people listen and adhere to the guidelines instead of complaining about it...
I can't wait for the next chapter, this story is really intriguing, good luck with your writing :D
