    But that’s the thing it works differently. In Germany no one would ever need social media to check the weather. All phones have weather apps and there are even special apps for Desaster alters etc. also there are a lot of very reliable websites that show the weather in places. Though most people I know use a Norwegian website.

    I don’t know about Australia but even if the news stations don’t have their own website now, I‘d imagine they would implement it, so that everyone can see weather updates. Or you just use a service from another country.

      Those disaster alerts aren't even proper apps. I don't have anything of the like on my phone, yet every year, when alarms are tested, my phone blares me awake at dawn. -.-
