    For people 60+/etc: We have weather channels on TV still, however in my city cable/satellite has been nearly done away with completely so you still need some type of smart TV and sadly the news stations here (in my city) are genuinely terrible about keeping you informed outside of social media.

    So while yes, it works differently everywhere, my example comes from the fact that they want to do an age ban here too. (And that mixed with sites forcing you to log in would keep younger people from seeing basic safety updates such as weather.)
