    But they are punished. I mean…Sirius is in Azkaban for a crime Tom knows he didn’t commit, and the fact James is dead. And Remus can’t get work *period* and Peter was made into a death eater…well that’s for the sequel when Sirius escapes.

        He’s not registered. Bit of a spoiler but it’s minor one: Tom created a more potent wolf’s bane before wolfs bane was invented. It gives Severus full control over his lycanthropy. Only Severus has the recipe.

        So Severus isn’t going through things Remus is going through

          Excellent...after all, it wouldn't be fair for Severus to be on the register, while his attackers and the other Marauders aren't registered at all!
