Peter didn’t respond, simply pointing a blank and exhausted stare at the wall opposite his bed, trying to switch his brain on and shake off the remnants of sleep that clung to his skin. The windows were still dark despite FRIDAY having pulled up the blinds already, and it took a moment of confusion to realize his usual wake-up music was, in fact, playing.
Tony turned to leave, probably in search of his second cup of coffee as he waited on the boys to get ready, but called back at him from the hallway. “Don’t forget you have your field trip today!”
