He opened his eyes and was met with the two concerned faces of his mom and dad, hovering over him nervously, his dad holding a now empty cup of water with a bendy straw.
“Hey” His voice sounded like it was brushing against sandpaper. “All done?”
Tony’s eyes crinkled. “Yeah buddy, all done. You did great.”
His mom brushed the hair out of his eyes and kissed his forehead softly. “Rest love. We’ll be here when you wake up again.”
Peter found he had no trouble believing her.

Peter's home life hadn't been great for as long as he could remember. Between words spoken and punches thrown, he has never had love not tied to pain.
One night, May goes too far and the teenager finds himself in the care of his mentor Tony Stark and his fiancee Pepper Potts. Neither having been ready to find themselves parents overnight, all three must learn to navigate this newfound family through the minefield of insecurities and past traumas it brings.
