Kirishima looked vacant. His eyes were wide and empty, stuck back to moments ago as they pulled a shrieking classmate away from the charred remains of his…their friend. They’d had to physically restrain Midoriya, wrestle him down and hold him back because he was shrieking and clawing and ready to break bones to get back to the body. Shinsou’s arms had gotten streaked with blood and grime and things he didn’t want to think about as he’d wrestled back the crazed student. He could still feel the ear-splitting cries Midoriya had wailed, made gritty and wet by the damage to his throat and chest that he seemed entirely heedless of, ringing in his ears. And Kirishima? He’d gone for Bakugou… or what was left of him.
