Azula looks at it with disdain. ‘What’s this.’ she says in a voice so patronizing that he immediately feels offended.
5 year olds have no right to be able to achieve that tone he thinks indignantly
‘It’s a dragon, obviously.’ he huffs. Azula squints at the silk in front of her ‘Are you sure? This looks more like a tiger-eel to me.’ Zuko glares at her. ‘It’s a dragon’ he repeats.

Summary
A few hours later, a strip of land emerges on the horizon.
Zuko watches it from the porthole in his room. It seems unchanging, no matter how hard he stares at it. He wishes he had something to fill the time with while he waits, but he really doesn’t feel like pouring over his small collection of scrolls on the Avatar again. He thinks bitterly of his embroidery kit, safely stashed miles away in his bedroom. He knows he can’t blame Iroh, it’s not like he was up to telling him where it was.
(and that it even existed in the first place)

He’s given up the embroidery again.
He doesn’t even try to pretend he doesn't miss it, but he’s still given it up.It’s sort of symbolic, in his mind anyway. It stands for all the things he
doesdoesn’t want to be.
It’s not like he even needs it, there’s no longer any need for him to work, and there’s plenty of things for him to do at the palace. Firebending training for one.His fire has been stronger recently, the inner flame stoked to an inferno. It’s burning him up, the constant heat, and taking it out on the wooden targets helps a little.
(Even if he’s sure that stitching would give him more of a relief ).
Or: Zuko revaluates his life choices in a number of high stress senarios
