It starts with ‘Has Amestris’s beloved playboy finally given up his string of beards, or is this new beau the first in a line of experiments?’ Which would be fine if it didn’t also have a picture of him with Roy’s arm around him where Ed is smiling at him, totally love struck. It also refers to him as a ‘simple country boy’ who might be ‘leading Roy out of his gallivanting ways and showing him the true value of a pure heart. Which is just... fuck.’

Summary
Ed is many things, but scary-looking is not one of them. Ed looks like a cross between a conditioner advert and a very angry hamster— that is to say, the angrier he gets, the more comical it is. Unfortunately for him, the fact that Roy and Maes both know that he could probably disembowel both of them if he really put his mind to it does nothing to discount the fact that his go-to scary look just resembles a five-year-old narrowing their eyebrows and loudly proclaiming that they are grown up, thank you very much.

“The Emperor,” Ed repeats. “Why is he here?” Roy can hear him gritting his teeth and he's more than sure that Ed is gripping the phone tightly enough that something is going to break, though whether it’ll be the phone, Ed’s hand, or Roy’s sanity, is still up in the air.
“He’s not,” Roy says darkly, anticipating the coming headache. “At least to my knowledge.”
“Then why the fuck,” Ed says, voice rising in volume with every word, “is he sitting on my couch, eating all my DAMN CHIPS!”
The last remark is clearly directed towards someone in the next room, who Roy is dearly hoping is not actually the Emperor of Xing.
“Ah,” Roy says faintly, “I have no idea.”
