Summary
Reworked prequel to Sons of Thunder.
Above all else, Elves have a gift with song. And Legolas more than most. When Eomer meets with the Three Hunters, he is persuaded by Aragorn to take Legolas (who has been injured in the battle at the Rauros Falls) to Medusel, while Aragorn and Gimli find the hobbits. Legolas has an important task- to reach Théoden, to convince him to rouse the Riders and to lead them against Saruman. But Eomer is arrested immediately they arrive and it will not be long before Grima has Legolas similarly incarcerated.
Note: this was my FIRST ever fic written in Dec 2008 as Deeper than Breathing on ffnet. That is also reposted her from HASA and is a less sexually violent and explicit version.
I also had no idea what was going to happen between Elrohir and Legolas later. I did think about reworking this so fit in better but actually it will change it too much.Series

He gave a deep bow, muttering about family etc being at Imrahil's service etc etc but he really just wanted to get Legolas away quickly before Elladan got there and Legolas got all distracted and started flirting with both of them. And it was bad enough with Eomer and Elladan and anyone else whose name began with E without adding Imrahil to the list. Shoving Legolas ahead of him, Gimli glanced back over his shoulder and saw that Imrahil was standing close to Elladan. He watched for a moment as the Prince touched Elladan's elbow, guiding him to stand closer. Sunlight gleamed on his brown hair and his startling blue eyes gazed at Elladan like he was a feast.
Gimli smiled to himself and thought he might have found mithril where he sought tin.
Imrahil and Elladan, with a bit of help from their friends.

Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,

In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.The One Ring has been destroyed and Sauron banished to the Dark with his own Master, Morgoth. But not all the Rings were destroyed with it; the Three made by Celebrimbor to counter the One are free now and there are artefacts still in the ruined cities of both Mordor and Eregion. And the fate of those lesser Rings is not known...yet. Against this, Legolas and Elrohir struggle in their new found love and not all is smooth. By any means.
Part of the Sons of Thunder series but works as stand alone too. References to previous events explained through the text.

Tall ships and tall kings
Three times three,
What brought they from the foundered land
Over the flowing sea?
Seven stars and seven stones
And one white tree.It is the beginning of the Fourth Age and the Golden Age of Gondor. Aragorn Elessar is King and he rules with his beautiful and efficient Queen, Arwen. Legolas is finally united with Elrohir. All is at peace and the lands torn by War are healing.
Except there are bonfires on the Barrow Downs and strange happenings on Amon Sûl. Rumours of tall strangers in Bree and Merry has disappeared. The Three Hunters are called upon once again to track down a missing Hobbit and a mysterious Elf joins them. Adventure beckons and they cannot resist.
