Summary
Izuku feels a hand grip the back of his jacket before he can even turn around to see what's there, and he’s being thrown onto the floor.
He launches himself at whoever came up behind him, and as he collides with them, he finds himself dwarfed by their height - they overpower him easily, taking hold of his wrists as he struggles without a weapon.
He’s pushed back against a tree, an arm pressed to his throat, pinning him to it.
Izuku looks up and is faced with blue and grey eyes.
“I know you,” Todoroki says flatly.
Izuku Midoriya is picked as the male tribute for District Seven, and even he, at seventeen, knows he has no chance of winning the Hunger Games.
Maybe he'll survive better with an ally.

Izuku feels awfully, terribly under pressure. He feels like if he makes one wrong move, he’ll be thrown straight back into the Games.
Shoto’s more level-headed than he is, Izuku finds, as he seamlessly eases into a different person. As he so easily picks up some other persona to please the watching crowd, to please the President, to please the entire nation.
“I lost everything,” Izuku mumbles to him softly. “What am I meant to do?”
Midoriya and Todoroki have won the Hunger Games. They've escaped the arena and returned home - but things have only started to get worse.
Even he, at eighteen, knows he has no chance against the Capitol, and a President that seems intent on his downfall.
