Summary
My own take on how these two might hook up.
I have no idea where this is going - it was just supposed to be porn, but now there are actual ideas I want to explore, and basically it's all my friend Laurie's fault.
And yes, this is a version of Loki that's all broken-baby-let's-be-nice-to-him, rather than going for the far more realistic genocidal madman approach - normally I'm firmly against woobiefying bad guys without serious consideration of the consequences of their actions, but just this once I wanted to play in that sandbox. I hope you have fun - it's been a lot of fun for me.
Summary? Basically Loki gets captured and some serious weirdness happens between him and the Good Captain. It might end up romantic, but right now I'm aiming for "sexy".

In which things escalate quickly.
I really suck at picking content warnings - the non-con part is a memory, not moment for moment but all jumbled up, and not exactly graphic but pretty freaking awful. I went ahead and labeled it "explicit" just to be safe. I don't plan on including a lot of this sort of thing in the series, which is why I didn't put an archive warning on it, but it was important to establish that we're dealing with a pretty horrifically screwed up individual here.

Summary
Originally this was the first chapter of a multi-part work, but since the narrative arc was weird I decided to split it up. Somehow while doing that I managed to lose all the comments and kudos, so, I apologize if yours has vanished - but I love you all!
There's a really brief description of torture in this one, and it's squicky, but it didn't seem like enough to warrant an archive warning.
So: After trying a number of times, our boys finally get down to business. Meanwhile Steve learns there's such a thing as apple grass*, being magic isn't all bad, and naps are the best thing ever.
* - Yeah, it's a Doctor Who reference. I am nothing if not a dork.

Summary
This was originally a chapter in a longer work, but I decided to split the whole thing up since it didn't have enough of a defined narrative arc to work as one long thing.
It's sort of between-y, then, and will no doubt feel incomplete. Especially thanks to the shag-us interruptus. Mostly I just needed to set up the next story, and I can't help it, I enjoy writing these two idiots.

Again, this was originally part of The Land is Always a Woman, but I split it off, mostly because it felt weird to shift from first to third person in the same work.
Steve's been kidnapped, it's been far too long since Loki got to put the hurt on somebody, and the result is a little surprising for just about everyone.

Summary
In which we finally discover what the hell caused the dreamfasting.
Incidentally I am pretty well versed in Norse mythology, I just can't be arsed to deal with that whole family tree given that these are not actual gods but fictionalized versions of them. (Yes there is a difference. I dated an actual Heathen for two years and they are serious about their lore.) I only bring this up because I'm about to do naughty things with a character's origins, and I don't want anyone to be all "But that's not how it happened! Critical research fail!"
Anyway - I'd like to say this'll all make sense in the end because of my Grand Plan, but I'm making it up as I go along.

Summary
Don't worry, this is not the last story in the Dreamfasting series - I guess you could say it ends the first phase. There's still a bit of a mystery afoot, and a bit of a gigantic revelation that...well, you'll see.
Since a few folks have asked: I swiped the term "dreamfasting" from the 80s Jim Henson movie The Dark Crystal. It has a slightly different meaning there, but I always thought it was a beautiful word.

Summary
Surprise, I'm back! Finally, finally continuing this poor neglected series.
This work, however long it ends up being, will continue the story of the Dreamfasting. This is still an alternate timeline, which began shortly after the events of Age of Ultron and will happily ignore most of what came after. I may or may not involve Thanos at some point, but for now, let's worry about the fallout of Frigga's meddling in our Star-Spangled hero's DNA and Thor's quest to find out who, or what, Loki really is.
In this part, we have another important revelation, a bit of shaggery, and a look into Loki's weird new life at Avengers HQ.
