Summary
Rejecting major aspects of yourself isn't the healthiest thing, and neither is extreme isolation. A young hero and his rejected other self learn these facts the hard way, while dealing with life, unpleasant truths, and some surprises along the way.
Growing up is never easy, but in their case, it's especially complicated.
