Summary
"Okay, so we are never doing a con like that again," Quinn said, after a successful artifact retrieval.
The job had involved a three-week con with Quinn playing a mysterious crime boss and Eliot playing his violent enforcer.
"You don't think I played the role well?" Eliot asked. The job had gone off without a hitch and he, for one, thought they had both played their roles perfectly.
It was an easy space to slip into. It reminded him of how simple things were back in the military and the PMCs, where he could let someone else call all the shots. All he had to do was unleash his violence as directed and trust whoever was directing to take care of everything else.
Of course, with the PMCs, well. He'd learned the hard way never to trust himself to a corporation, no matter what patriotic values they may have been founded on.
With Quinn, though. Quinn had played the boss flawlessly--the man with a plan, to whom you could trust every aspect of your being.
"No, you were perfect," Quinn said. He paused, then added, "It was terrifying."

This is a Firefox add-on I wrote, inspired by this darkfinch tumblr post, that adds QWAT AU!Quinn to Leverage fics that do not already contain Quinn. It adds a little snippet to the end of each chapter telling you what Quinn has been up to. There are fourteen distinct snippets, and they are tacked on one per chapter. After the fourteenth chapter, the fourteenth snippet gets repeated.
In addition to a link to the add-on, I've also included here a list of all the snippets, for those who don't actually want to download it, but still want to know what it's about.

"Eliot?" Hardison said.
"Quinn's fine," Eliot said. "It's all fake, just like he said. He has this guy right where he wants him."
Hardison looked pointedly at Eliot's clenched fists.
Eliot relaxed his hands. "Well, he is letting himself get beaten and tortured by this idiot whom he could easily take out right now even handcuffed to a chair. That part's real."
Plus, Quinn was now up to three broken fingers thanks to that same idiot. Eliot was never going to hear the end of this. The inevitable whining he was going to have to put up with when the job was over was the only reason he was upset, really.
"Sucks, doesn't it?" Hardison said.
"What?" Eliot frowned.
"Listening helplessly on comms while someone you care about intentionally lets himself get hurt," Parker answered in Hardison's stead, her eyes still focused on the lock. "Now you know how we feel. When it's you."

(This is a contemplation of an interpretation/AU where Eliot and Quinn used to work for Moreau together, until at some point Moreau decided that Quinn was more of a liability than an asset, so he ordered Eliot to leave Quinn behind to certain death. Eliot did it, but it broke him, and it was the reason he always worked alone before joining Team Leverage.)
