Tim gets caught.
[Joker’s ear splitting laugh fills the room. “Good thing I have just the thing for you, little birdy!” He reaches one thin, pale hand into the pocket of his criminally green jacket (is that velvet? Absolutely disgusting. Tim will hurl on his shoes) and pulls out a syringe full of something violently red and syrupy.
Tim freezes. His mind races from thought to thought too fast for him to draw a suitable conclusion. He’s only been Robin six months, but even he knows to fear a syringe more than any beating.
Quinzel shrieks out another laugh. “Lookit him, scared to death! He doesn’t even know what he’s in for, poor little thing!” She gives a mocking coo. Tim feels himself flinch and his hands shake harder.

[Tim hits a button, and Steph can hear audio suddenly playing from Baseball Jerk’s computer across the room. There are loud moans and gross squelching noises as Jerk frantically tries to shut it off. “Is that porn?” Steph whispers with delighted scandal. The class erupts into laughter as their teacher turns beet red with either rage or secondhand mortification. Maybe both.
Tim pulls back and looks away from her wide grin, but his lips seem to twitch a little in amusement and pink dusts his skin in the face of her admiration. “Simple,” he says with a mischievous slant to his eyebrows. “He already had it open incognito.”]
