Summary
Hugo has been struggling for some time since the accident that took his mother and a part of him. He has a house, money and a trust fund that he still hasn't touched. He spends his days drifting through classes as one of the top students at Corona U, and his nights partying and drinking himself to sleep.
Varian is a scholarship student with big dreams to change the world and get a well paying job to take care of his father's farm. He quickly shows his worth and is beloved by his best friend's sorority and the Dean's daughter.
A party has the two meet and end in tears, spreading rumors about Varian and forcing Hugo to try and protect him, not knowing that Varian will help him save himself.
