Summary
She’s not his to touch and never has been. As far as he can tell no one touches her save her maids. The Queen in the North is choosy about who gets close, even to talk. Most days she says little to him beyond her courtesies. He approves. She’s smarter than he had given credit to her for back when she was a chirping little bird. The Wolf Queen knows better than to allow people in where they can hurt her. She had accepted his pledge of fealty, and now he will spend the rest of his days protecting her without touching or speaking, and that’s as good as any marriage vow to him.
He thinks that, if he’s lucky, when he dies it will be taking a blade meant for her.

Summary
She can see it in Sandor’s eyes and feel it in the tremble of his arms. He is holding himself back. He is a man and she knows what men want. He’d have her pinned against the wall, every inch of her bare for his eyes and hands. He wants her under him, helpless as he pummels all his lust into her. And she, Seven save her, wants it too. She wakes in the night, thighs slick, face burning, her head thick with animal dreams. Then the day comes, and when he touches her, a mere brush of fingers, suddenly they are Petyr’s hands again.
The solution they arrive at is this: two thick ropes, attached to the posts of her headboard, tied around his wrists.
[Intended as a sequel to Swing the Sword, but works fine on its own.]
