Tommy hadn’t asked for this. Hadn’t befriended Wilbur knowing the man was a vampire, hadn’t stayed his friend after that to become one. Tommy just wanted companionship, wanted to be friends for as long as Wilbur stayed in the city.
But one joking comment after a lady mistook them as brothers, Tommy had failed to see Wilbur’s spiralling signs.
