Summary
“Lenny,” she reached for him but he brushed her off.
“No,” he held a finger out to her, “you don't get to talk, not after you turned this,” he gestured between them, “ me, ” then to himself, “into, what exactly? An act of rebellion, a fun party story in case you run out of things to tell?”
“Is that what you think that night was?”

Summary
Midge's eyes were closed as she listened to the rhythmic sound of Lenny’s breathing. She felt his chest expand and contract on top of her, relishing in the rare moment of silence between them. One arm was stretched against his back, the other combing through his hair absentmindedly. They stayed like that, neither daring to move, until she felt the pounding of his heart slow.
