Summary
As the creator made the ancestral humans they were still whole. But as humans tend to be they weren’t satisfied with the lot they were given in life and rebelled against the creator. In anger the creator stroke them down, splitting their souls in two. Humanity was left wounded, confused with the same soul occupying two bodies who desperately sought each other but unable to recognize their other part.
The creator had pity with his creation so he gave every soul into the care of a guardian angel who would protect and guide them so that they may be united once again as they should be.
Guardian angel Michael has his hands full trying to unite Hannibal Lecter and Will Graham but he is no neophyte. Neither different birth countries, age differences, opposing ideologies or imprisonment will stop a soul as ruthless as the one shared by Hannibal and Will nor the angel ruthless enough to be declared its guardian.

Summary
Dumbledore was lucky enough to meet his soulmate when he was a teenager; well he was lucky until Grindelwald had run off and started a war against the muggles. Unfortunately it is impossible for Soulmates who have met each other to stay apart for longer amounts of time. During the war Grindelwald and Dumbledore somehow manage to steal away often enough to keep their incessant need for each other at bay but after Dumbledore finally manages to beat his lover he can’t leave him in Nurmengard while staying in Hogwarts himself.
Years later few people know about Dumbledore’s secret in the castle but every time a student has an especially… difficult time with their soulmate Dumbledore introduces them to how even the most problematic relationships can work out.

“Have you heard about the big uproar that happened seven years ago?”
“What?”
“I mean the fight between Zestiel and the radio demon.”
“I, wha, no!” Angel shook his head. “I don’t care about overlord politics!”
“Zestiel had found his soulmate!” Husker explained. “But her soul was owned by the radio demon. Enraged Zestiel demanded her soul from the other overord but of course Alastor didn’t want to give his trump card against such a powerful demon away. Do you know how the conflict ended?”
“No,” Angel whispered.
“All overlords, every single one, turned against Alastor demanding from him to give her soul to Zestiel. There was not a single one on his side because if one overlord could use the soulmate of another overlord against him than this could happen to anyone. No overlord could ever know themselves and their loved ones save again.”
“Why,” Angel swallowed already suspecting the answer to his question. “Why are you telling me this?”
“Because I am an overlord and once you tell me who you sold your soul too I will come with every overlord at my back and take what is mine!”
