Summary
She’s doing this on purpose, I know she is.
Violet is still upset at me, and in the most Sorrengail display of spite I’ve ever witnessed, she’s currently sitting in my room, brushing her hair. What reason could a rider possibly have to bring a hairbrush to the room of her former lover? Why, to torture him of course, because she knows what seeing her like this does to me, and because she doesn’t have a single legitimate reason to actually hate me.
-—•—-
Violet delivers some erotic revenge to our boy Xaden.
Set directly after the events of Fourth Wing.

Summary
“How about this? I bet you can’t hit—” I turn my head, scanning the area, and then I raise my hand and point— “that tree, in three tries. If you do, I don’t exist for an entire day. You don’t see me, you don’t hear me, it’ll just be a full, Riorson-free day for my sweet Violence.”
She’s biting her lip, eyes flicking towards the tree and actually considering it. Come on, angry little thing. Play with me.
“And if I don’t hit it?” she asks. “What do you get?”
“Maybe just something… small. Easy, really.” I shrug. “A kiss.”
-—•—-
Unable to return to Basgiath, Violet is stuck training her signet powers with Xaden, the betrayer of her trust and the bane of her existence. The man who can’t stop thinking about her, looking at her, trying to win her back. And he makes a slight miscalculation.
Set right after the events of Fourth Wing.

Summary
There’s no hiding a hard-on in these pants. All I can do is snatch a pillow off the bed and hold it in front of my crotch while I answer the door, praying she’s already suffering enough not to laugh at me. With a frustrated breath I turn the knob, and—
“Do you have anything to smoke?” Violet asks immediately, eyes locked on mine like she’s already decided not to lower them down my body.
Dammit.
“No,” I admit. “Left it all back at Basgiath.”
She curses in a series of words I’ve never heard put together before, and it would almost be amusing if her face weren’t so flushed, and if she were wearing more than just a short night dress right outside my bedroom. Her hair is all mussed and loose around her shoulders, and another throb of pleasure has me determinedly locking my body into place so I won’t do something stupid, like try to kiss her.
-—•—-
The dragons are at it again, and even though Xaden is the last person Violet wants to rely on right now, she has no one else to turn to.
Set shortly after the events of Fourth Wing.

Summary
“The Griffin riders are the greatest threat to our kingdom. The relic that’s been burned into my skin is well deserved, and the only grudge I hold is towards my father.”
Violet blinks, and if I could see more of her face, I swear I would see that her mouth has fallen open. “Wow. That’s was… convincing. How did you make it not even sound rehearsed?”
“Self preservation,” I answer dryly.
“Do me,” she requests impulsively. “Something about me.”
Do Violet.
Easy.

Xaden and Violet are slowly becoming friends again, but there’s still the betrayal looming over them, and something needs to give.
Set shortly after the events of Fourth Wing.

Summary
“Tairn worries over his human’s need to mate you. It’s affecting her battle performance.”
Impossible. Violet doesn’t want me anymore, and she’s made that very clear through weeks of resolute indifference. “I told you before, humans don’t need—“
Sgaeyl is having none of it. “You’re ceaselessly distracted by the sight of her, and yet you say you have no need to mate. I, also, worry over your battle performance.”
“My performance is just fine,” I mentally grit back.
Her voice picks up a wry edge. “Perhaps you can begin the mating ritual by telling that to the girl.”
My palm slams down onto the table with a violent rattle of dishes, and instantly every conversation ceases, and every eye turns towards me.
Mother****er.
-—•—-
Sick of all the mutual pining, Sgaeyl and Tairn basically Parent Trap their riders into giving each other another chance.
Set shortly after the events in Fourth Wing.

Summary
Imogen tilts her head and croons, “Are you gonna take my shoes off for me, daddy’s girl?”
The breath catches in your throat, and your eyes automatically flick down to the boot still resting on her knee. Your pulse is suddenly pounding in your ears, though your body stays religiously still. “I’ll do anything you want me to do,” you answer slowly, with horrific honesty.
She merely narrows her eyes in response, drops both feet to the ground and continues to watch your every movement.
F***ing hell, goddammit.
You thought there’d be more preamble than this. A softened expression, a touch, something, anything but getting on your knees right in front of her just to prove your desperation.
-—•—-
After Imogen unaccountably spares your life on the challenge mat, you decide it's time to take a gamble. (Fem reader)

Summary
“Why are you doing this to me?” I grumble, idly flipping a penknife back and forth between two fingers. “I thought we were friends.”
Liam blinks, then glances perplexedly down at the bottle of wine he’s holding. “Why am I… inviting you to the solstice party?”
“No.” I straighten in my chair, channeling my frustration onto him for the moment. “No, what you did was invite me – and Sorrengail – to a cozy little private party, where there will be dark places to sneak off to, and wine.”

Summary
“Wrong.”
Brows furrowed, you lift your gaze again to Liam’s face, where his eyes trace over your features from just a few inches away. In the dim light of the hallway you can just make out that blue-grey under his lashes, the muted color his eyes turn when there’s no sunlight to brighten them.
“I’m sober as f**k right now,” he continues in that deep, patient cadence you’ve always loved. He threads his long fingers through your hair at your nape, shifting his weight to adjust your back more comfortably into the recessed door frame. “So no, I’m not asking because I’m drunk. I’m asking because I’m going to miss you if you leave.”

Your golden-haired, longtime crush has finally noticed you back, and that damn smile has you willing to get your heart broken.
