Dennis isn’t sure how exactly he got to this point.
He’s even less sure that it’s a good idea, that he isn't making one of the worst mistakes of his entire life, because he very well could be. He’s spent years committed to the notion that this sort of situation would never happen, could never tear apart his fragile sense of equilibrium beyond hope of repair. And now he’s gone and thrown all that hard work straight out the window, and he can’t even be sure that he’s mad about it.
The only thing he's certain of is that he doesn’t want it to stop.
